a new joke....
I've always said that the affordable Holodeck would be the end of civilization.
Now excuse me while my character goes to play in the virtual Kiera Knightley/Jessica Alba mission.

MA did eliminate one of my biggest complaints. Travel is now basically zero.

I actually find the lack of travel rather... immersion breaking. Takes the RPG out of this MMO in some ways, since you're now just holodecking. You aren't a part of the city and saving it, you're just entertaining yourself. It's like... you playing yourself in a game, if that makes sense.
I don't really care for it, and actually think MA missions would be a lot more cool, compelling, and interesting if they were incorporated into the game world better.
I'm sure people will look at that and call me crazy, but come on, it's not like it takes long to get anywhere in CoX. It never did, and with all the teleporters, portals, etc., it's even easier to get around then when the game started. And at the start, CoX blew other games out of the water in terms of fun and easy travel.

If I were to quote/sig "[With MA mission] You aren't a part of the city and saving it, you're just .... playing [with] yourself in a game" would that be too far out of context to not be accurate?

Yes, but it also spoiled us. Travel has just gotten faster and faster in this game, and now we've reached the end result: MA.
And I'm mad I have to run to Ms. Liberty every time I want to train!

But the actual travel hasn't My love/hate relationship with flying continues.....

My idea of a superhero doesn't run his [censored] across the city. He uses superspeed, flight, etc.
So, pre-14th level makes me a sad panda.

I'm still disappointed that we can't make our own Kongmobile for getting around. I know it would be balls given the insane layout of Paragon City, but iconic vehicles are a superhero staple!
Although you might be able to fake Wonder Woman's jet by introducing a "driving" flight pose.

True, but I won't be happy until they have a trainer, enhancement store, and WW/BM in every AE building... preferably all within clicking distance.

Screw that! I want a drop down menu where the current Menu is with the following choices:
ICON
Vangaurd Base
Midnighter's club
WW
Crafting table
Just... all of it right there, I want to zone into Atlas Pa... NO! Not even that, I want to zone into the AE Building FIRST! That's right, ALL new toons just right into AE... you never leave the building - EVAR!
Yeah... that sounds... boring.

Wait, we always think of having a car as actually driving around the streets of the game. But what if they could do something like this: We create a vehicle the way we do characters, but it's a summonable power, like the Ouroboros teleport thingy. You summon the car, but only on a road or in a parking lot. All players can see it, then only you (and maybe members of your team) can click it to zone anywhere in the game that you would be able to drive to. Other players would see it sort of whoosh off and disappear. I'd be happy with that.

My MA-only toon, Virtual Lad (age 12), is doing just that! He only leaves to train, or go to WW. If anyone happens to fire at him in "the real world" he just runs. His mom wouldn't like him fighting REAL villains! That's DANGEROUS!
Dec out.
nice!
I love the difficulty of some of these farms.
exploits? not interested!
inf? not really needed.
Tickets? great for buying so's, but not what im after.
xp? would have gotten to 50 alot sooner if that mattered.
prestige? bingo! gimme gimme gimme!

Uh oh, MG is getting really old and lazy. We should get him one of those old people go cart thingies and a reacher arm he can bring around with him- he'll never have to get out of the cart to grab anything off the shelf, get the remote, or pick up the garden hose to scare off all the annoying young people that are on his lawn (again).

FYI cuz I found this interesting:

The mission you are reporting appears to be part of the Mission Architect system and, as such, much of the content is created directly by a player. Because of the nature of the Mission Architect, game support would be unable to advance the mission for you. You can however, quit the mission through the "Architect Options" button in your Navigation bar or with the "Quit Task Force" button found in your Team window.

3 people (out of 30ish) have had a problem with my Forum mission not spawning the last boss at all. I was running it last night with the Cow who had the problem. I petitioned the mission hoping a GM could tell me what was/wasn't happening with that last spawn; my hopes were to learn if the boss *was* spawning but outside the map or something like that. Suffice it to say, I got no response other than the email and I'm a little disappointed.
I've tweaked the mission to avoid the 2 variables that I think may have caused the issue, but I won't know if it's "fixed" for good until someone else runs into the problem

I've learned from other people in the MA section of the forums that it can sometimes be worth making multiple spawns in of your objectives, since the creator will spontaneously decide to move the "back" objective to the front, and so on. You can then test to see where things end up, and remove the ones that don't work.
Not sure if you can do that with yours or not still. I wonder if maybe there are more unique spawns then the map can handle sometimes?
I dunno, trying to think of something that might work. Good luck with it.

The order of the objectives also matters. That is, on the Mission Details screen, the game will place spawns from top to bottom as best it can. So, if you have objectives you definitely want in the (front, middle, back), it is best to list them first. Things with "any" or that aren't terribly important can be listed last.
The crappy part about this? Well, you cannot drag and drop those objectives. If you want to re-order them, you get to delete and recreate.
That's why I like that MA creator Leandro made- you can move stuff around in there and get it all settled before you bring it to the game.

Make the PM's stop, yes I did in fact get banned for 72 hours, and have my toon deleted.
Deleted, and not put down to lvl 1 or something? Interesting.

yup deleted... gone. goodbye toni banonno
Posi did post saying they will delete characters then you went and boasted about PLing 1-50 in a day on the forums.
Hmmmmm I wonder why you were punished...it's a mystery!
To be fair, LL boasted about PLing from 1-50 in a day way before Posi announced the consequences.
Still, it's pretty obvious that she was one of the people who was going to be hit with disciplinary action.
