How do farm maps work? I don't see how you can get that much XP in such a short time. Is it gimped custom critters? Maps of Rikti Comm officers? Glowie-palooza?

LOL i started it to vent! Not to introduce the rest of you on how to do it. The fact of the matter is its being done, and that sucks. The Dev's cant catch these farms, theres too many bing made to quickly. And I hope your right Mag. But that dosnt change the fact that they can go back to the 'perma bridge' method. Less team space, but would still be equally fast.

It only does this with custom mobs though I think. We discovered it the other night in my first mish. But in the second mish it doesn't.
Custom mobs in mish were the only notable difference.

Now I understand... I've been playing a lot of lowbie content with standard mobs, but when I was lvl 11 I went up against some lvl 13 Supa Trolls and I was not SKed up.
I also just realized that I one starred an arc that said it was for "lowbies" but the lvl range was very high... I guess it was a farming map.

It not a big secret how people PL in MA so quickly. Farming groups and people who just want to level fast use farms that spawn only Bosses. A team of 8 vs a map of lvl 52 to lvl 54 bosses is quick xp. The joke of MA is the lack of normal drops of salvage and recipes will impact the Market. Players running normal missions with common salvage and drops will soon be kings of the market.

That's being counteracted a bit, as people are remembering that you can roll on common salvage for dirt cheap with tickets, and I think that's filling the gap, along with some others putting those cheap enhancements on the market to make for more sane pricing. Took a bit to sell an ancient bone for 7.5k, and that was a steal just a week ago for those.
I don't think they set up the MA well enough to account for farming... to some extent, there's only so much that they can do, because there are people that always want to be PL'd (not sure for what, in this game). But yeah, I think there have been a few too many loopholes.

Some common salvage is already pretty high on both sides of the market, but using tickets alleviates some of that.
I think the devs will fix it somehow. Might as well get it in while it lasts, though. The money you can make farming with a 50 on those boss missions is also nice. 12 mill a run on one map.

MA pling is stupid, plan and simple.
Sure you can get xp and some neat-o tickets, but then you have a nice shiney new 50 and its time to slot it up. Oh wait, you have no money, and no IO's... I know head to WW/BM.... Wow prices are high yo..... I know lets farm MA for monies!!!..... lame lame lame.
Also, killing lvl 54 lts or 54 Bosses, is pretty hard for a solo pler, so most people need to run pl teams, this drops the xp and tickets per kill which slows you down. I'm just not sure the xp/min of these new MA farms are any better then the current Dev created Farm maps, and besides you can't get banned for running those, while you can for publishing an exploitive MA arc.
People are going to farm, people are going to PL, I just think MA is a really bad way to do either of these.

I doubt that matters to the people that already have 20 50s that they leveled up the old fashioned way.
Meh, I don't care. Let them farm. I gave up on the market months ago. I just find it ironic that so many people are bent out of shape over others getting "easy" levels but [censored] and whined that costume recipes were "too hard" to get so the drop rate was increased to the point that they're also "easy" to get. 
I made a new guy last night and he is now 39. Also, I am getting about 5k tickets a run. Rolling those tickets almost makes up for the lack of drops as I can just sell the recipes I get.
I fail to understand how people get mad about it. Just don't do it.

haha Peril, my concern is that I will be starting one of my many great Abandoned Sewers Trials and end up with a bunch of MA PL'd noobs, who have no idea what they are doing, cuz they havnt played their toonz before. And for the record, i went lvl 1-50 in 7 hours.
PvE isn't that hard.... unless you are Hamster. It's OK to be a PL'd n00b :P
