Meh, just do your best, MG. Switch if you want, of course, but there is no such thing as a healer equaling an invincible team. Like I said in my previous post, we had some people almost insta-dying, and there were two or three of us with Pain Domination on the team. Normally people were getting healed really fast and sometimes I wasted a heal when I was a half second slower than Kong... but heals are limited by reaction and cast time after all.

If anything, Pain's buffs can help out a bit... I noticed a big difference when my team and pets have more resists from World of Pain, for instance. It'll be fun to see Painbringer on top of WoP when I get to 38.

The issue isn't really about people dying, but about me not feeling like I'm bringing as much to the team as a more active buffer/debuffer or an offensive AT.

My Widow is almost 30, so I'm going to bring her next week. With the good number of VEATs we have this time around, another stacking set of buffs will always come in handy.

Yeah, people were dying so fast that they had basically no chance to be healed sometimes. That's why I have the rez. It will be nice now that we're getting into the buff part of Pain dom though, a lot of times a little buffing is worth a ton of healing.

To be honest, only like 2 people were constantly dying.....and that was their fault. We had a huge advantage with the defense buffs and defense/accuracy debuffs.

As for Mental's problem.....that deserves it's own thread.

You don't feel like you're bringing enough to your team with Pain Domination? Okay, your call. The damage, healing, and buffs you're bringing with your AR/Pain are probably not all that different (overall, as in how they'll help the team) from what you'll bring with your Widow. But hey, it's about having fun, do what you want.

What damage? Healing was sucking so much end it was hard to keep up a decent attack chain. As a healing set, I like Empathy better because you get more pro-active buffs earlier. WoP and the other goodies come too late in the set, IMHO.

That's one thing I love about Pain Dom on the MMs. You don't have to worry about blasting, the pets are out doing their own thing and you can concentrate on passing out heals instead. In defensive mode they usually won't get you in trouble either, since they'll tend to only shoot at stuff that's already shooting you. The downside is that sometimes they're a little lazy about engaging in battle, but if you give them an attack order on the first target, you can usually leave them be after that. Plus, with them in defensive mode you can be pretty aggressive about getting up in the battle and passing out heals/buffs because BG mode is wonderful for keeping MMs alive.

...and then there is this ape that just runs all over the place and ends up landing with his heals hitting no one...

Good run, target level's 32 or so, I believe.

Also, as Hamster mentioned: Renault SF before next session, lvl range 25-30 for xp. He mentioned running it on Tuesday.

Those who are not at least 31 are...'strongly encouraged' to join the Renault to catch up.

Had a very good run last night on team Hamster. Went from 28 to 31.

I had a fun time last night. We had a nice pace and things went smoothly most of the time. Nice SB, heals and buffs as well. We did a team scramble which is like musical chairs but a tad more interesting. And that team was a fun run too!! I bit the dust a few times due to my own silly self stealing aggro and of course standing in the middle of the mob. And I did make it to 31.

Oh, and I officially have my whips which really came in handy last night!! Very fun toon to play!! See you all next week!

Logged on earlier today to kill some time and ended up pushing myself the half a bar I needed to get to 30. Soloing as a Dominator sucks. I'll be joining in for the TF I imagine.

Looks like I'm going to miss next week. That's alright, I'll just run the redside 30-35 SF to catch up.

Wait, what's that?

Oh, Nuts.

Good run last night, though we seemed determined to split from time to time. Poor Chumly dropped a few times when he got out of LOS with me. Crazy Brutes getting in over their head and thinking they're Tankers!

I rather wish the attacks for Masterminds had a bit more 'oomph.' Dual Wield is an okay addition, but Empty Clips is rather all looks and far too weak. I probably should dump it, but it's fun to watch.

I'm trying to put my third Western outfit together... tried modeling it on Charles Bronson's from Once Upon a Time in the West, but CoX doesn't have very good shades of yellow, it's hard to match his coat and such without it looking rather lurid.
