Let me try again: Is the whole Mission Architect a big virtual reality?

I meant exchanging architect tickets at the architect vendor in all cases.

Also, if custom missions are shareable pre-publishing, there are unlocked items/maps within and the other player does not have said objects or maps unlocked, what happens? Will they be in a read-only state, able to edit but not add, or unable to do anything at all?

The architect has good potential please see to it that its not used to make farming missions by putting some sort of limit on resetting of architect missions. Because I have a feeling that its going to be misused and exploited in this fashion.

I think the answer to that is going to end up being 'Maybe'. Dr Aeon is behind it all and his inventions have a tendancy not to work the way he thinks they do.

People reset missions because once a normal contact mission is completed, you can never get it again. With the MA, there's no reason not to complete the missions. Farm your way through the arc and then start it all over again, if farming is what you want to do. Never worry about "don't click that glowy" again!

One quick question..I know not at release..but is there any thought into letting players GM (Game master) their missions for friends or others who play them?

Can we force a boss to always spawn as a lvl 54 AV? I want to make the Slax Task force truly ridiculous.


Infinity and Victory mostly
dUmb, etc.

A few questions of my own to throw into the ring:

1. Will we be able to use Giant Monsters, as has been suggested?

2. Will we be able to create our own Giant Monsters, if #1 is a yes?

3. We can only have 3 published arcs at a time, but arcs save as a text file that we can keep on our own computer, correct? So we can have an unlimited number of arcs created, but only 3 uploaded to the server at once as "published". Am I correct in this?

4. I have seen it stated elsewhere that we can play unpublished missions in a "test" mode, and even bring teams with us to do so. Is this true?

5. If I am correct about #3 and #4, does this mean we can have an unlimited number of missions that we have saved on our computer, easily accessible for private/SG use?

This is complicated. Every critter has a level range where they are valid. When you make a mission, all of the level ranges must overlap at some point. If you are outside this level range when you go to play the mission you will be brought up or down to the level rang of the mission.

Example, I use critters A (1-54), B (34-45) and C (40-48). The level range of the mission is (40-45).

If I am level 5, I will play mission at level 40.
If I am level 50, I will play mission at level 45.
If I am level 42 I will play at level 42.
If I am level 5, but have set my difficulty to max, I will play at level 38.


Note: I said mission here, not arc, each mission has an independent level range.

As a follow up to this, how does critter level work with custom critters? Are they all defaulted to 1-50 range, or can we choose their level range or are their level ranges determined by the powers we assign to them?

On the custom critter front, how do the powers work? Do we just assign powersets? Or can we build their powers piecemeal? (a martial arts kick, a pistol attack and a psi blast, say).

Also, I know we will have access to give custom critters variations on the player powersets, but will we also be able to give them powers based on existing critters? (i.e. could I make a new baddie who had the same powers as one of the Kheldian PPD critters?)

Question, these tickets are they going to have random rolls and do all of the same things as the merit system. Will they overlap pools and so on?

Pohsyb, quick question:

What about temp powers for missions, like disguises? For exampl, can I create something like the Midnight Visage but for say longbow, so villains can sneak into a longbow base?

I don't think you're going to have to worry about being unable to make "truly ridiculous" content. Trust me on this one.

Question: Can we use contacts that aren't humanoid npcs, such as the radio, television?

I'm no Pohsyb, but in the Massively audio segment they specifically mentioned using the Radio as a contact (or using Television, or Slot Machine which to my knowledge isn't a normal contact!)
