I'm definitely hoping for Architect access from within an SG base, but somehow, I think I'm wishing in vain....

[/ QUOTE ]

you never know, the fire and ice crystals gave access to flash back missions in the SG base with out having to go to Oroboros, I hope they do something similar with MA as well.

[/ QUOTE ]pohsyb said there won't be base access to MA, at least not at launch.

However, as I understand it, you can save your mission or mission arc at any point in it's creation, so you do not need to create a mission that requires 3+ hours of work all in one sitting. You could put in 30 minutes a day until it's done.

[/ QUOTE ]
That's good to know. I was worried about that.

I do hope we have some kind of shot at purple recipes. I like to know I at least have a chance to get one when I play.

On the NPC helper thing... It seems like it may speed up your XP gain per minute to the point where you break even....especially if you are a low damage AT. (This may be seen as an unfair advantage to the high damage ATs by some...they may come out ahead.)

I hear its very time consuming, VERY...Almost sounds to me like it almost wont be worth really using unless you have a LOAD of time to put into making missions/arcs.

The person said it was like waiting forever for a 3 minute ride

[/ QUOTE ]

I imagine it's like anything else that involves a creative endeavor. Some people will go with more generic options and pop a new mission out quickly (especially as they become proficient with the editor) and some will agonize over every detail spending hours upon hours tweaking it until it's *just right*. Like the costume creator and base editor before it.

I already expected to put alot of time into each mission I would create, so this is not really news to me.

However, as I understand it, you can save your mission or mission arc at any point in it's creation, so you do not need to create a mission that requires 3+ hours of work all in one sitting. You could put in 30 minutes a day until it's done.

What details?

Its either you kill all, kill the boss, click [censored], rescue some [censored], annnd thats about it....

Not alota detail there...just the same thing we've been doin for 4 years now

Oh, and about that friendly NPC following you around, killing things and you getting full credit for rewards....does this mean I can make a big [censored] mob of friendly AV"s that will follow me around and kill everything on the map I made so I can solo farm to PL me really quickly?

Thatd be sweet.

Sweet, guess that means I'll have to make an enemy group with max -resists that only throw brawl for me to farm

I'm sure they already thought of that.

(if they haven't, they sure have now.)

Also, unless things have radically changed, the MA missions are meant to be 'simulations', which means you aren't fighting real enemies.

Thus, no salvage drops, no enhancement drops, no recipe drops... you'll get full XP for published content (see two pages back) and tickets to exchange for the 'stuff' that you normally would see dropping.

Unpublished content? Zero, zip, nada.

Will there be a SG-base interface?

Not initially.

Which sounds like it's at least on the possible list.

[/ QUOTE ]They're putting in datamining hooks to catch and squelch exactly that kind of thing. I'd say give it a shot during open beta, so you don't waste your time in the live release.

I really wish they would put I14 in open beta already. It’s almost a month now in closed beta, several months in developement. They are just teasing us with this, it’s really getting old now. C'mon, show us the Motts already will ya!!!

Well considering they said u can have up to 20 different objectives in 1 mish alone, a mission can end up being be quite complicated. Certainly more than most missions we have nowadays.

Granted, I haven’t read all 44 pages of this threat, but I have read several posts about MA rewarding us with tickets for defeating enemies. Anyone know, if these tickets are tradable amoung players?

Is open beta announced before it starts? Do you think it will start this weekend?

If memory servers, Issue 13's Open Beta actually started a little bit before it was announced on the public forums. People here were talking about being able to suddenly get on the Test Server, and I remember some of us asking on the closed forums if it was okay to start talking about stuff. Lighthouse replied that they wanted to actually make the announcement first.

But if there is notice, it won't be much of one I'd say. I would expect it to go open any day now.

Great!!! It's confirmed. Is this the new plan for EVERYTHING from now on? Don’t allow us to trade nothing!!! Ever notice all the new stuff they’ve been adding to the game is untradeable?

Discount tailor coupons…..seriously now, why? Are the dev’s afraid the tailors are gonna loose tons of fake money for a fake economy?

What’s next? Flag Influence and Infamy as untradeable?

[/ QUOTE ]
No, but just like merits, you can use them to buy stuff that is. You will receive tickets when playing published missions in place of all other drops. If a mob would normally have dropped an inspiration/enhancement/recipe/whatever, they'll drop a ticket. There will also be a ticket bonus at the end of an arc, that depends on how many tickets you pick up along the way.

You can then use them to "buy exactly what you want", but it's not quite clear whether that means you can select specific enhancements, inspirations, recipes, etc., or whether it just means you can pick specific random rolls. Or whether it'll be a mix of the two, sort of like Merits are.

Tickets you earn from other people playing your missions/arcs go into a pool that you can claim onto any character. Tickets you earn by playing other people's missions/arcs stay with the character that earned them.

I haven't seen any specifics on whether you can distribute tickets in your "pool" among different characters, or whether all the tickets in the pool at the time you claim them have to go to one character. I think we'll have to wait for Open Beta for the answers to the remaining questions.

Seriously!!! This issue has been long overdue. C’mon marketing let us see it.

[/ QUOTE ]Just as before, fix'd...

The devs are chomping at the bit to let us in. Notice that as soon as they were authorized to talk about Archetect details, Positron and Pohsyb let forth a veritable deluge of the information we were asking for all along. When Marketing tells them to go open, they'll be doing a happy happy dance as they push the big green button.

All that is planned fails. All that is born dies.
All that is built crumbles. This will always be true.

But memories remain, And that is beautiful.

just to note, the non tradeing thing is so that people don't just farm the stuff and SELL IT

if it's traideable then it's sellible and people will sell for sicklly high prices, causeing the devs to make the things harder to get makeing it even a Sicker price

So make it non traideable and problem soved, you want it, do like the rest and earn it

now heres a question I have on VEAT's, .. yes this is a spot for i14 chatter, but this ties in

I'm seeing some things now when VEAT's hit, they were freeking awsome, now they been dumbed down becuse people that didn't want to play a Arachnos Trooper, complained they were too good, so then that went on for a little bit

Now I'm seeing alot of annoying bugs , the Redraw of the guns , yes redraw was fixed, now the guns are invisible 75% of the time
the Mace blast animation time was fixed, now they don't have one, the mace is held like you're onna swing, but insted the blast just happens, not makeing the bane happy ya know?

and the old issue with the waist Capes, al they'd need to do is make the belt have an option of Belt cape, Tada

now HOW dowes this tie into I 14?, well they gotta fix things anyways, and you know people want to make Arachnos NPC's and characters, So this would be the best time to fix that little mess up.. you know they one that was caused by makeing the Arachnos characters like everything else non epic?, yeah that one AKA the NERF =-)
