I would like to know what is being done about full servers
as Ood Sigma said....We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to your sleep. This song is ending. But the story never ends.
Are merits or recipe and salvage drops going to be doubled as well?
(I'd be shocked if that was the case, but wanted to double-check)
Some people would probably like an official redname confirmation that merit rewards will not be doubled that weekend.
I assume day job progress will not be affected at all.
That 24 hour timer on task forces won't be reduced before 2xp weekend, will it? That would be nice.
EDIT: Oh, and there will probably be some confusion about how xp debt will interact with everything else.

I suggested a while back that trial accounts not have access to impacted servers (which could also help populations on lower-population servers), but I'm not optimistic that anything at all's been done to alleviate this particular issue.
Ex, you should also be make it clear in an FAQ that Patrol XP will not stack with Double XP. I think that's one of the most important notes.
Things that should be covered:
*Relation of Double XP and Patrol XP
*Relation of Double XP and XP buff from Law Giver/Arachnos Agent Day Job bonus mission complete xp.

Debt isn't a reward, therefore not doubled.

Additionally the Inf Bonus for mission completes since I believe inf is doubled during this time period as well.
Edit: the Prestige bonus for mission completes as well...forgot about that one.

From what I understand Patrol XP won't work during double XP weekend.
Let's say I have 10 bubs of patrol XP available and I start out on the 2xp weekend.
Assuming that is correct. What happens to my patrol Bar as I play does it decrease as now because I'm earning double XP and the mechanic can't be disabled?
Does it disappear at the start of 2XP and then reappear when it is over?
Does it stay but is not used up by 2XP weekend?
If it stays but is not used up by 2XP weekend is it an "anti-debt" reservoir that debt comes out of but doesn't apply to earning the 2XP from the weekend?

As someone who probably won't be leveling any characters next weekend (everyone I care about is already 50), my one and only question is an obvious one: Merits.
Merit Rewards are not doubled, right?

The Patrol XP remains, it just isn't used up to give you 1.5x XP. Pretty sure it still does it's trick with the debt though.

Oh, that's better than I thought. Means we won't use up Patrol XP during Double XP weekend, and can resume using it after the event finishes
And no, I severely doubt Merits would be doubled, in the same lines as Salvage and Recipes.
Double influence from City Official and Banker Day Jobs?
When is the double xp event taking place. I swear I can't find a single thread mentioning a date

That's the "official" end time. It actually ends Monday morning when the servers go down.
My only question...
I'v been through 2 dbl xp weekends and can't remember but is Prestige dbl'ed also?
... and as a few have stated, does ANY Day Jobs have any impact?

Honestly I think Merits should be doubled. They are technically another form of influence

Whats the diff between the xp bonus % u get WORKING on the Criminal day job, and the xp bonus % u get after HAVING the Criminal day job? (The 'potency' is supposed to increase once u have the badge, isn't it?)
And I take it, none of it will work during double xp weekend, right?

While working toward the Criminal badge, characters accumulate patrol XP credit at a rate of 1 bar for every 24 hours up to a maximum of 10 bars.
After earning the Criminal badge, characters will accumulate patrol XP credit at a rate of approximately 1 bar every 20 hours up to a maximum of 10 bars.
Timing:
The event will start following our normal Friday maintenance period on January 23rd and go through the evening of Sunday January 25th.
Start: Friday, January 23rd 2009, at 8:59am PST / 11:59am EST
Finish: Sunday, January 25th 2009, 8:59pm PST / 11:59pm EST
Server Caps:
Given the broad appeal and player interest in the Double XP events, it is possible that our most populous servers (usually Freedom and Virtue) may hit the server population cap. In anticipation for the coming Double XP weekend, we have recently increased our server cap; however it is still possible that they will cap. To provide all players the best play experience, we put a hard cap on just how many people can log into any one server. Should the server cap, it will show 3 grey dots at the server select screen and have a pop up message of Full when you hover your mouse over the server.
Leveling Pacts:
Leveling Pacts will reflect the double XP reward. If a single player is online they will collect double XP that will be shared within the pact with the offline character. If both players are online there will be double XP shared within the pact from both players.
Patrol XP:
The Patrol XP will be inactive throughout Double XP weekend. Players will still earn Patrol XP (not doubled) during their sessions. Also the cancellation of debt will still occur as normal throughout Double XP weekend if players get debt or log out with debt during their play sessions.
Double Rewards:
During Double XP Weekend players obtain double rewards in the following categories: XP, Prestige, & Influence/Infamy. Double rewards do not apply to salvage, inspirations, day jobs, or merits.
