We spent an hour ToTing in Steel, and I bet we killed 30-50 spirits. They were spawning at fairly decent rates. Since that first hour-ish window, I haven't seen a single spirit. Damned peculiar.

How do you receive "treats at a faster rate?" It might just be my own experience, but I rarely get treats this year... it's easily 80% trick, 20% treat, but maybe that's just my luck. It's not uncommon for me to knock 5 times in a row and have all 5 be tricks.

I've counted 15 door knocks in a row before I got a Treat. While you may be able to click on doors faster, it's been overly balanced out by the apparent increase in the Trick to Treat ratio.

That was a terrible decision in my opinion. If I have a choice between waiting a tad bit longer to get a decent reward versus getting an instant lousy reward, I know which I would prefer.
I've been looking forward to ToTing for weeks, even months, and because of the lack of Tier 3 inspirations I was done with it in less than an hour. The 4 new badges took me about 5 minutes to earn, so that did nothing to prolong my interest in the event.

Well.. i was in PI..... But the zombies were not seen...
But. they did assult PI #2.....

Just here to say I've been on both sides of the Jack coin.
I have been with several groups in Talos busting Eochai's rump almost 30 times with no sign of Jack.
I have been on a group in Sharkhead where, in the space of less than an hour, Jack spawned 4 times.
That said, I am absolutely all-for a streakbreaker code for Jack.
I am also for adding in the 'ambush code' to door spawns so that griefers find themsevles overwhelmed with their just due, having been on Triumph the first night and being driven to the RWZ to ToT instead because of the sheer amount of immaturity and uncaring twits.
As for not receiving Tier 3 Inspires from doors... wel the handful of times I have ToT'ed this year was in groups, and inspires were dropping so fast from doors and enemies I had no trouble swallowing or combining a few while fighting that (for me) Tier 3s would just be 'taking up space' in my tray (I would like to store them in a base) while I chomped thru the 1s and 2s. So really I have no problem with the change.
I am, however, sorry that there is indeed a bug with Spirits that won't be fixed this year.
But! The Zombolocalypses? Holy cow they are AWESOME. I love 'em. Thanks SO much for bringing this event to us.

Buster badge is broken, wait 12 months then try again seems to me to be a poor response to a clearly broken event.
Were any alternate means considered to aleviate the Buster badge problem other than fixing the bug in the spawn rate?
If this was a "new" event badge there more than likely would have been a fix provided or at least a workaround.
Would lowering the badge requirements temporarily to say 3-4 still have the same impact on issue 13 date?
Alternatively could another spawn, like the Strengs, be temporarily used to count toward the buster badge for the remainder of the event?

We completely agree that it would be great to fix the issue with the Spirits. A number of people here are upset as well about the badge for their own characters (yes, we play too!). However, getting such a fix out there would impact the schedule for Issue 13. We'd totally do that for an exploit fix, but for this issue we felt, that while painful for those interested in it, is something we'll have to leave as is.

It didn't take *that* long duoing with the wifey's new alt, YMMV. I'm happy to see the devs admit that there was a problem but its not that big of a deal.

Like the other poster, I also sent a bug report about the lack of spirits from Test. Either they failed to take players' input seriously, or they just flat failed to do their jobs.
The excuse to nerf tier 3 inspiration drops was obvious and illogical. So people can click doors 10 times more frequently, an easy fix would be to adjust their drop rates accordingly to drop 90% less. But instead its an excuse to further kill large inspirations in the game. Remember Kora fruit? Then they sneakily nerfed inspirations drops by bosses so sometimes they drop nothing. Lets be honest and call a nerf a nerf. There was an easy fix to counter balance the new door click rate, you guys just didn't want to do it.
Last but not least, people have complained about Jack's spawn rate for the last two years. It all fell on deaf ears. Its not like it would unbalance pve, kill pvp or destroy the market if people can fight Jack as often as Eochai. And add to all this the bit about "we won't fix it since its not an exploit", they are essentially admitting that as long as things hurt the players, problems can wait indefinitely, but if an issue happens to benefit the players they'll jump on it. A sadder and more pathetic attitude I have rarely seen. Like I said, typical apathy, disconnect and flat not paying attention.
The only thing worse than devs making bad decisions is the hoard of fanboys and bootlickers that keep cheering them on.
Let me preface this with during events like this, or the Rikti zone invasions, I normally solo or at most team or be near at most, two other players. This is due to being on dial-up. It also means that I will most likely never get the boss or uber badge due to the lack of sympathetic teammates that would allow to fight alone nearby while the rest of the team can fight at a rally point.

During the Ritki zone invasions I've never, with any level character, felt overwhelmed while soloing. Zombies however just keep popping up like weeds one after another even if there are no other players within sight. Combined that with their level 30 number of hit points and it easily overwhelms a level 20th character. Just like a zombie apocalypse should.

Like I stated above, they just keep coming. Last night in Perez I found the right hovering height where I couldn't be hit by them while I could blast them. I had over a dozen zombies looking for ways to get into range to spit me out of the sky. Half Lieutenants. BTW whatever height that was also caused zombies to materialize above me and fall to the ground. Nice "rain of zombies" effect.

I know that the original Rikti invasion caused massive loss of life but so much that the dead were used in building materials in skyscrapers and elevated road beds? That or the mob also controls the building material market in Paragon City.
And a problem/question that I have. Sometimes when fighting a zombie it despawns even though I had been doing damage to it. I don't get credit for a kill or the XP from it. Most of the time they had been impaired ether with a hold or confused.

Been seeing only Tier 1 inspirations for Treats.
Tricks have sometimes given two Tier 1 inspirations, just like the Treat rewards (which is a bug in itself, considering Tricks aren't supposed to give Inspirations.).
CaptainIntrepid needs to renamed to CaptainReadingComprehension.
They changed the treat mechanics this year. Treats can be awarded on a trick door, and inspiration treats are going to be tier 1 and tier 2.

My own suggestions:
1. Recheck the spawn code for Jack, ensure that its working properly as opinions on that vary, then increase from 10% to 20% chance spawn rate so that some gamer actually feel like they have a chance.
2. The Hero/Villain Event Channels: can they be upgraded to differentiate between multiple versions of Grandville or other multi zones when an alert goes off? Also can they be upgraded to include alerts for Eochai and Jack during the event

Spirit spawn times broken
Villain side zombie invasion times not working, and almost non existent in some zones
Hero side zombie invasion times not working
Jack spawn times not working
Compared to the last few years I'd say this one was a failiure, and I've attended them all.
I'm not being bitchy and I'm not over reacting, I just think going off the "test", it was not released without actual testing. It seems peoples test results where ignored before release and there is nothing they can do about it.
Pretty bad management and customer service from my experience, my post is justified.

Listen, because I have a concience I go away from the forum thinking I've upset someone then feel bad for it lol, so let me explain my issues a little more so you know where I'm coming from.
I'm only 27 but I have a busy life, 2 kids, a demanding job, a demanding fiance lol, and very little time time to enjoy this game, to explain further I get to play for one night, every three nights, and during this session I usually get 2-4 hours of play.
So in a two week period I get to play four times, 2-4 hours a time, So for this event it is impossible for me to get every badge on every toon and experience everything I want unless things are working as they should, any delays or bugs hinder me totally and I don't get the experience I pay for, these delays have meant I've spent 2 nights on the same toon trying to get one badge only to find out some days later that it was a waste of time.
Get what I mean? I get little time and I feel it's been wasted and all I got was a "sorry, try again next year".
If it where me, I would have done the follwoing.
Fixed the times on the invasions and jack before people started getting annoyed with it, if it took too long to adjust this I would have made the event last a few days longer to compensate players wasted time.
I would have given everyone who logs in during this event the buster badge if it would take too long to fix.
Bend a few rules to make your paying customers happy, thats good customer service, thats good management.
All I see is mistakes, and apologies, imo thats not good enough, as a paying customer, I expect a working product, If I don't recieve a working product I expect compensation of some sort or a refund, not a "sorry".
