I'm still worried that with less rewards for the created content, that there will be a much smaller incentive to actually try them out.

Sure with the newness of it, I will probably even try to create a mission or two. But for the long haul? I don't know.

Uber Talgrim - level 50 emp/dark defender
Uber Rod - level 50 dark melee/regen scrapper
Rod Valdr - level 50 invuln/SS tanker
Talgrim - level 50 ninja/dark mastermind

OMG!! Please add these costume designs now!

1: Since archetect is being pushed back a quarter in order to allow for custom characters in the missions... I'd really like to see multiple heroes too.

I mean... what if I were fighting my own scrapper in the same room as my kin/rad defender AND my ice/storm troller in the same room. Could a team survive that? Hrm?

Of course, they couldn't port over your exact build, you'd just pick the powersets (that'd prevent people from making gimpy [censored] builds, and fighting against 'em for xp).

Or a group of 3 ill/storm trollers... watch the chaos... mwaha.

Or do you guys think they'll limit 1 AV per mish to prevent power-leveling?

The one thing I'd really like to be able to see in the Architect is the ability to use NPC-exclusive costume pieces when designing custom bosses/pets, or at least the ability to make slight alterations to existing NPC outfits.
For instance, if I had a mission idea that involved a Nictus-possessed Fake Nemesis, I'd be able to take a Fake Nemesis npc, tint the armor darker, give it a nictus-style aura, and give it umbral blast attacks. Or if I wanted to make, say, a "Freak of Thorns", I could take a Defender or one of those other "jawa"-type CoT, give it the Juicer electro-pack, electric-ball flight, and some electric blasts and be done with it.

I'm not suggesting it be anything too complex, but just enough so if we decide to make a custom boss from a specific faction, we're not limited to either just a generic boss model from that faction, or a custom model that doesn't have any of that faction's unique costume traits.

I'm sure I'd still be able to work without something like this, but I ask because I've got a ton of ideas for various missions and arcs that involve various twists and nuances in the game lore, and I'd love to be able to use some of the unique pieces to be able to really tie them into the story.

Two wrongs don't make a right. However, three rights make a left.

This is a legitimate concern for folks who are not hard-core RPers, I agree. But I wouldn't panic until more info on exactly how the rewards are going to work is released. More time till release means, for the team, more time to think about things like that.

For me, however, the news that there will be customization available is a God(dev?)send. Most of my groups are heavily RP, and this will allow us to tie up loose ends with our invented NPC enemies by actually encountering them in-game.

Things to remember:
-Common sense ain't;
-Overkill is the only kill;
-If someone asks if you're a god, run away.

Maybe missions that are deemed DEV'S choices would be allowed to reward regular XP?

I think people would try the new content just because we're sick of going through the same old same old missions. Unfortunately I am quite sure we will not be getting new tile sets

One of the other items of interest in issue 13 is the change to the cost of SG/SV base items.

Has there been any comment on what will change, and whether it will be retroactive?

The questions I am asking is:

On day 1 of I13 will I have the same base, the same prestige points, but everything is cheaper? If I sell a room that cost me X will I only get X minus I13 back? (Not so good - prestige points are lost)

or

On day 1 of I13 will I have the same base, the same prestige points, everything is cheaper, but when I sell a room or item I get paid back what I paid for it originally? Regardless of I13? (Strange , but good, no prestige points are lost)

or

On day 1 of I13 will the changes be factored in. I have the same base, just more prestige (equal to the difference in what was originally paid)?

The thing is that I am wondering if it would be better to sell everything - rooms, equipment, constructed equipment before I13 comes in. That way my SG & VG can build up the prestige points in the sale, and spend them again after the cut over.

Does anyone have any info on this? Should I keep our SG and VG bases "as is" or should I recommend a fire sale?

[/ QUOTE ]They make almost NOTHING retroactive these days.

Hmmm - PM a different dev about it every few days. This is a good question which I don't thnk has been answered (but should).

Just to let you know Lighthouse responded to question and the response is here:

It is going to be option two.

Now just to qualify my comment "(Strange, but good...)" I was worried that existing bases would just be devalued; that Prestrige would just evaporate.

If you look at the responses to that link, you'll see just how wrong I was in using the term "good". It was definitely a relative term

As for another power set for MMs... most of the MM players in the forums want FEMALE choices more than another power set.

Unfortunately, the devs seem to think certain agencies outside the game (and even outside the 'net) won't abide by a female power set where men order women around.

For those of us with FEMALE MM's, we'd love to do an all female group. Ladies on the prowl, it would be great.

OT: This will be my first Issue (just got my 3 month vet badge) and I'm really pleased. Yet's it's pay to play which I always said I wouldn't do but the techy support, the game info and the updated content is worth it.

My only gripe is that I'd like to see some more player written guides. A lot of them that I find are from much earlier issues and being new I don't yet have the understanding to know if that information is still current. I could be building a 1.07 character that just doesn't work in 1.12a (Diablo 2 reference).

Overall; good job.
