JOTUNN "The Numbah one troll on Infinity"

Very nice!

The Troll is looking sharp for a goon that hasn't changes his clothes since break out.

I'm very excited. Now I just need to convince Mrs. Troll to let me have some wall space in the house to frame this.

Thanks Thornster!

Soul I just checked it out, and it's a very nice piece. I must say I was impressed by the warning page I surfed to after clicking your DA link, very classy.

Troll, thanks I'm glad you like it, and I'm moving on to the colors. It shouldn't be much longer now =)

Lol Soul_Train you're nuts! Oh and very nice headshot avatar.

Here is the ink stage of JOTUNN "The Numbah one troll on Infinity" I recently have not been adding any of the hard shadows and cast shadows during the inking phase, because I find it much easier to change lighting dynamics when I move to the coloring phase.

I know there are a great deal of artists around these parts, so if anyone wants to know anything about my process, please feel free to ask. I know I have a few questions for some of you.

Was this inked digitally? If so, I'm amazed! /thumbs up

I know what you mean about the lighting dynamics, and I'm toying with the idea of changing my inking a bit, too. You get a better sense of how the colors are going to work together and with the lights if you lay some colors and start seeing how they interact with eachother. That and I'm noticing (at least if I'm going to do mixed media or something) that a LOT of my inking gets lost when the colors are down. Doesn't detract from the colors, but I think I'm wasting time ^.^

Hey Juggs, yup I dink everything now that I have a Cintiq. I used to touch up my inks and add effects when I had an Intous, but doing a whole piece was a hassle.

Wassy, I know exactly what you mean. There is nothing worse then putting a great bit of time and detail into an area only to lose it in the colors. I also like the tonal ranges and slight color variations you can add to shadows when done in color.

I'm going to ignore commenting on your type and show my envy towards your Cintiq. I've been thinking of getting one for x-mas... in your opinion - worth it?

Worth it? If I had to choose between my left arm or my Cintiq...I would choose my Cintiq!

Yup I'm right handed. I'm currently coloring Jotunn and I'm about 70% done. So I would say I was getting my artz on

Oh and I have the board open on another screen so I can check it without skipping a stroke.

I saw MMOART on my infinity forums and though omg I have to go see 'the thread' well I've kinda been out for a week (work riding me hard) and I had to mentally skip over the drama cause I knew with MMOART posting things might be all better.

And, Yay! ooooh, I got hugs from the man myself =^.^= *huggles tight*

I just love my artists, now, I think I did say I might consider commishing MMOART but don't know when the new queue will come up.

Also invite me to your bash I really want to be there for it, just try not to finish it on a friday ^.^

Also excellent get Troll looks great, and so does those "just cause I love the female form" 8d

keep up the good work Jomaro (did I get that right?) and it's nice to hear from you ^.^

Since you mentioned it, how do you do costume details with intricate patterns, like celtic designs and whatnot? Are the just (amazingly!) hand drawn or inserted digitally?

^^ Gill needs to show us a tutorial

Has it been a month already?

He's probably spending time with the family, I'm sure we'll see more updates once the winter break is done.

[/ QUOTE ]

You were right... but only a few sketches so far - White Peregrine and Comrade Hero and Gravitron Girl.

I'm a big fan of Comrade Hero, so I'm excited to see how that piece pans out.

Spasiba.

I'm waiting to see how this turns out as well. Gill must be taking time out with the family as I haven't been able to touch base with him since the beginning of January.

Still nice to see the sketch of Comrade Hero and Graviton Girl is coming along
