Ok so I've paid in full for artwork back in January and have sent numerous emails requesting that my artwork be mailed to me and I get no reply.
I was in almost daily email contact before I sent my final payment to MMOART and now since I've paid...nothing.
I'm not impressed and I'm getting pissed off. What's the use of paying for commissioned artwork if you don't physically have the product? I would like to frame this 3rd piece of art that I've purchased and hang it up beside the other ones but I'm having no luck.
Sorry for the rant but I don't know what else to do...
Or just a boot, the placement of which is at the discretion of whomever applies said boot.

January of this year?...I thought that MMOART stopped sending out hard copies of artwork and only sent digital.
Did you recieve the digital version?

I was told by Jomaro that he would ship my artwork. Well he received the final payment January 5, 2009, and I still don't have the artwork.
I got a digital copy but it was small (650x1005 JPEG) and definately not worth the money I paid for this artwork.
The art is great but if I knew I was only going to get a digital copy then why did I have to pay the same price I did for the other 2 pieces I had commissioned 2 years ago which I received in the mail?
EDIT: Jomaro's email to me;
Wonderful! I am so glad to hear that you are happy with the results. I really enjoyed drawing this one.
I'll have Nakiesha send you the final invoice shortly. Enjoy the rest of your holiday season and I'll email you again once your artwork has been shipped!

I'm not impressed at all considering that I placed this order with him in April 2008. Now almost a year later, countless emails asking when it will be shipped and 3 months after I fully paid I have nothing to show for it but a small JPEG image.
If you click the link above to MMOART you'll see a pic of Zal-El on the left. Open that and that's exactly the same size I received as my artwork. I ask, is that worth $200 CDN?
Having gone through my own ordeal with Jomaro and MMOART, I'm sympathetic, but, I doubt you'll get the results you want by continuing to post about the problem here.
I would suggest contacting Jomaro again directly, and then pursue it as one would any paid-for service that you feel is substandard.
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."

[/ QUOTE ]Not to belittle your situation, it does suck. But I put in an order in 2006 that is still not even finished! And I happen to know another person who had several pieces paid in full from about 6 months before me and still only has ever gotten 1 completed. It's quite disheartening.

Sorry you're having trouble...I could have sworn I read something about him not shipping prints anymore, but naturally I could be wrong. In any case, as the others have stated, contact him and keep contacting him. I don't think his account is currently active on this forum so he may not see your posts.
That's the problem and why I figured I'd post here. I've sent numerous emails to him since I paid in full and not one has been replied too.
I don't think sending him another 1, 10 or 100 is going to matter at this point.
It might be a bit harsh, but you could always file a lawsuit.

I'm really torn on this. Once again we have someone complaining about lack of contact... and once again I'm expecting to see some majorly massive MMOART hits posted within a short time.
Gill seems to have canny timing that way.
I waited a couple of years for my Comrade Hero and Graviton Girl piece, but I realize not everyone is that patient.
Still waiting for two out of pieces from Ryan Stegman, but considering he got picked up by Marvel and is working on Hulk (and has done Grimm Fairy Tales) I'm going to wait patiently (and expectantly) for those as well.
Even if he delivers on the artwork, he's already broken the trust of the customer. It's too late, you simply can't get that back and communication should have been kept to keep the process moving.
Gill is an amazing artist, there's no doubt about that. But he's obviously no businessman. He should really just get out of this commission biz as a primary form of income.
I've seen this before in other places and with the proven track record here, it needs to be restated. Just because someone has talent, it does not elevate them above other people. Gill is just as responsible to his customers as a plumber or a tailor is. You *cannot* keep making your customers unhappy like this and expect to keep getting paid. That's not how reality works. If this was one of us, it wouldn't be tolerated. Why is Gill any different?

Have you received your art yet? I know Gill posted those pieces right after doing mine.

That does seem to be the way it goes so... if past experience is any teacher, I think he's doing totally the right thing by posting here. Seems to be the only way people are getting results!
no comment yet , but I am amusing myself by rereading this thread again .

ahh well.. as long as Marvel pays him up-front.. im sure he will met all his deadlines *j/k*
If I were as good as Jomaro, I'd be stringing you suckers along, too. Unfortunately for me, I'm not that good, so I'm all conscientious and send updates and make changes when people ask for them.
What a chump.
