That's the usual M.O. - up and down on server maintenance.
i've grocery shopped ahead of time and 'fluffed' my lazy-girl recliner chair in preparation

Every time 2xXP nears, I lay off a little on my CoX play so as to not get horrible burn out after a potential 60 hour weekend. I'm just glad my home server is Protector!! WOOT!

cause frankly its not a weekend for the east coasters when 2xp starts when half the day is already over.
last time i think it came up aroun noon est...and thats time lost.
i know we cant please everyon but how bout for once we start worring about east coasters and not the west
after all..you arent coming here or anything. so an earlier start to 2xp wouldnt kill ya

I got a few 'project characters' in mind...one already created, one I may create Friday. If I can get a presently-level-11 Arachnos soldier up to Crab Spider level, and grow a not-yet-created Widow into a Night Widow over the course of the weekend, I'll be pleased. That'll gimme a Bane, Crab, Fortunata and a Night Widow all made.
i did the last dbl xp weekend on just hot pockets, and nearly had hallucinations a la Homer eating the chile peppers. be, uh, forewarned D=
Hehe... I wasn't serious about that list. I have a day job that doesn't care about weekends, so I won't be able to stay on 24/3. And I wouldn't put that oven right next to the computer, but close enough that I don't have to get up to use it.
As for the Hot Pockets, I wouldn't buy just one flavor of the stuff. Just some for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ok ok...lets see....the series of events for double xp: ITF, ITF, ITF...etc...followed by a post ITF.

Woohoo, I like birthday gifts like this. I cant play during the week due to work, and i was wondering what kind of leveling id be able to do on my 44 crab. Maybe i can get him to 50.

This is not a reactivation weekend, not to be confused with the times we have had those. This double xp weekend is for current subscribers and those with active trial accounts.

An e-mail answered my question:
Issue 12: Midnight Hour is live and the game has more great content than ever! Once again, the big weekend is coming to Paragon City and the Rogue Isles. Roughly twice a year we turn up the dial and invite players to rack up XP at double the normal rate. For an entire weekend, Hero and Villain characters will receive double the XP, Influence and Infamy for all of their accomplishments in the game.
The fun begins Friday, July 18th! Take advantage of this opportunity to level up your favorite Heroes and Villains twice as quickly as normal. Good luck and have fun!
Double XP Event Timing:
Start: Friday, July 18th, 2008 at 8:59am PST / 11:59am EST
Finish: Sunday, July 20th, 2008 at 8:59pm PST / 11:59pm EST

Yay! My first double XP weekend. Hope I don't dc. I want to get my lvl 30 blaster as close to 50 as possible. I may also work on my lvl 10 fire/rad controller so I can have her flying instead of running and hovering.

And also, people saying going to other servers. If your friends, almost all toons, etc are on a specific server, there's no justification to move to a different one. Cant exactly get teams on a ghost town server either, ya know...
Also, someone suggested playing on one of the ghost town servers then transfering it later. Why should I or anyone else pay to transfer it? And pay to do so because trials playing the servers free will be potentially benefitting.

As a dedicated SOLO player; I am quite happy to be on one of your so-called "GHOST TOWN" servers. I have enough trouble with the system PURPOSELY forcing me to team without gad loads of other players locking out my server.
As for the trial accounts being locked out of a 2x weekend... dream on. Why should the devs care?
The system is programed to frustrate... not challenge... anyone who veres from the devs' chosen path. I love to solo; so I hit missions that I can't solo even on the lowest difficulty rating (like three ruin mages for the first encounter). I hate the CoT; so avoiding selecting them for newspaper or radio mishes ends up getting ONLY CoT mishes with some of them not even Mentioning CoT until I encounter them. I hate the faultline (because of mish doors that can not be found); yet I have to dump mish after mish because the damn system INSISTS I go to faultline.
So, why should the devs CARE if the trails account lock up servers and paying costumers sit and fume?

Does this REALLY include prestige at all? The CoX main site new byte says xp, prestige, and inf, but the email excludes prestige.
Also curious about this possible 50k for new members added to an SG.
I'm going to drink caffiene, eat junk food and focus on helping my SGers level. Worked on getting all my clients finished up, and I just finished today, so I'm off till Monday!
Now, the big question on my end....
Level the night widow, the bane spider or my archery blaster? o.o
