Hmm... not playing CoH versus not playing CoH. Tough call. Where do you work? Is it more interesting than staring at dots?
I completely agree...this is about the worst event so far to day for me. If it doesn't kick me off the game every 4-6 missions...then it takes me 30 minutes to get into Virtue and 30 minutes to play. Great job on anticapation of your server capacities Devs, just outstanding. It isn't tough to figure out which 2-3 server are most likely to have the most players and triple or more the capacity of those servers. So far this weekend is turning into a basic everyday weekend amount of exp. God help you if you want to transfer or switch toons at anytime.
Just my 2 cents as a loyal 2 year customer.
I seriously doubt the guest accounts are a very significant percentage. If you were just trying the game out for the first time, would you select the server with the RED dots??
You'd select the server with your friends that referred you the trial code, Zloth.

I don't see this as a policy that would encourage possible new customers to continue playing past the trial period.
Last time I checked, there was more than one server, at least there was at 3am this morning.

If you leave your screen on the server select screen, does it automatically change while you wait for the grey dots to go away, or do you have to keep exiting out and sign in again until they do?
I don't leave it on server select. I pick a non-greyed server, then back to server select. Or log out/in.
Could we, just once, have Double XP Wednesday or something like that? Seriously, every single freakin double-XP or other "fun weekend event" that has been put on for the last 4 years, I've missed. See, I have the unfortunate circumstances of having a life and family which I must tend to, and weekends are the time to do it. I get 5-10 times more gaming done during the week than on weekends. As do many that I regularly team with, and most of us are 2+ year veterans.
So, anyhow... Maybe give all of us some fun events, instead of just pandering to those lucky enough to have nothing to do on weekends. Maybe give us a Double XP Week? You can do it! I know you can!

Couldn't agree more. Weekends are rough. An entire week would be pretty sweet. And I'd like to think the folks that haven't gotten bored and left by now probably won't do so with the regular issues (I guess expansions are out of the near term view?)
Wow! It was amazing to see a Rikti attack happening at the same time as a Double XP weekend. I don't think I have seen that many characters in one space at one time...
No way Rikti invaded too?!?

The answer to this problem, of course, is for your family to play together. Problem solved!
heck id go so far as to say if a server is greyed out it should start bumping trial accounts to make room for paying customers
the least they could do is allow us to transfer our toons to another server. But since its greyed out we can't even do that. So i guess they don't want all those server transfer fees after all. I mean how many people do you think would get frustrated to the point of spending 10 or 20 bucks to be able to play their toons this weekend?
