With mutancy (and some natural origins), the powers will always be there, and the character has NO control over anything. A character with a science origin can change, repeatedly, and it can always be explained as "unforeseen consequences."

If fact, I like the thought she wanted to have unusual powers, so she sought to get them from an unusual source.

My thought, her dad works in the reptile house at a zoo. She thus sought the most impressive and unusual reptile there... the komodo dragon.

komodos don't just look strange; their genetics are virtually unigue (even in the realm of reptiles).

one example; if a female does NOT mate, she still lays eggs and half of those eggs will hatch... all male. This will happen no matter what the tempurature is.

in the komodo genetic sense; the FEMALE has differing chromozomes, not the male. Instead of XY in the males of other species; the komodo female has ZW. Her ova separate as they do in all females (into a 'Z' and a 'W' each); then wait for a male's 'donation'.

if a male does NOT donate; the ova chromozomes 'double-up'... becoming 'ZZ' eggs and 'WW' eggs. The 'ZZ' hatch as males and the 'WW' becomes food.

THAT is just one unusual aspect on the world's largest land reptile.

If you want a companion, I'm sure you'll have no trouble getting a Pug.

Just look at the Mastermind's pets (especially the 'thugs' powerset). When a 'thug' mastermind calls his henchmen; he'll get a different one from the last time.

NPCs not named (I think) do not exist except as a place holder. Non-combatatnt NPCs are background and exist ONLY when a PC is around to see them, thus they may well change appearance between encounters.

In fact, I have seen some NPCs (and MM pets) simoteneously in two computers and THEY were different even though they were the SAME NPC.

Oh, I turned off the 'personal name' display in the options so my niece wouldn't see it.

I was surprised how little they did to Nurse Smurf.

1> changed the "M" in her name to a "N"
2> removed both her outfits; but gave her two free tailor visits. I remade her original costume with all the changes I had planned for my other toon; tho I kept her long, golden hair.
3> deleted her bio.

That's all. I suspect they only wanted to change the name and the process changes the entire toon.

Wasn't as bad as I expected. The ONLY change I can't negate is the single letter in the name and THAT's something I didn't notice until I left the tailor.

We'll see how they react to her costume being remade.

You know, that is an excellent idea. I can turn off the personal name in the options so Hanna will never see it and reveal the need in the bio.

As for Hanna's reading skills, earlier I said she can read about 50 words. I lied a little bit.

My mother PURPOSELY has the closed captions enabled on her TV for Hanna. It is odvious from her questions she reads almost at elementary level.

I have a 2 volume dictionary on my desk beside my computer. hardly a night goes by (when Hanna watches me play) she doesn't open the dictionary to find a word. The first time she did it, I was flabbergasted. She looks at the word as typed into my chat box and usually finds it in the dictionary (it helps when the word is correctly typed). This is why I seem 'out of it' when playing sometimes... I am usually scrolling my chat box so Hanna can look at a word.

I have described Hanna as a little dynamo in these forums. It wasn't just her energy level I was refering to.

LOL. if you can actually assign a LEVEL to your character; it has DEFINATELY changed. Is that level the entire character or the character's powers/skills?

As for thr RP aspect; THAT is SWG's main strength. Of course, helps basing the game on a widely known story. As for the teaming aspect; THAT is the main weakness of the SWG I knew.

I played Star Wars galaxy a while.

I loved the way one can build a home for one's character.

The skill trees are an interesting departure from the 'level' standard of most MMORPGs.

I just got frustrated by the teaming aspect (actually lack of one).

I was hoping that maybe some people would help me run some task forces when I get her up to the proper level ... Hope definitely has to do Synapse as well as the RWZ one.

I have seen some first levels in Atlas Park and Galaxy City. Those heroes passed on the tutorial (and the chance to 'rescue' flower knight). I'd say a minimum of 98% do the tut, tho.

I think if Hope had stayed to fight alongside the Clockworks; she would have turned the tide.

If I understand her powers correctly; she does for electrical power what the horde does for life energy... the more available, the more powerful she gets. Her daddy's clockworks could provide all the power she would need. This is odvious from the fact they stopped the horde even though their power was dispersed among thousands of bots.

The fact that Siles desired her demise bodes no good. maybe nemesis will gain from this (most likely, in fact); but I doubt earth will.
