However, Exalted is still less than a week old, and free server transfers haven't gone live yet, so it's mostly occupied by toons lower than level 50. Give it a week or two.
Oh yeah, I never thought of RWZ. I'll check out there too. But you're right, it should start to populate soon. [/patiencelearned]

And btw, I love your sig.
  2. I understand that the LFG is getting it's nob polished like the bright works in bootcamp. But over on free-dum, we used to all meet in Pocket D to form up trials. I've passed through PD a few times, but other than a few costume contests its been dead.

Is there an interest in utilizing pocket D to form up for end game content? Kind of like the city channels in WoW. As opposed to signing up for a bunch of global channels that seem to be dead as well.

Idk, it seems like most of us are soloing. Or only working in small tight groups. The exalted of CoX should be able to come up with a better way to work together.
  3. I tried for a week to form up teams for farms and missions in Cape before finally going rogue. Unless something dramatically changes soon, this will be a blue side server.
  4. I just started a Blue side supergroup called "Reddit." It is themed and inspired by reddit.com. If you know when the narwhal bacons, then you should probably join up! Or at least dump an alt there.

Since I'm just getting started, functionality is kind of limited. I did transfer 6 of my 50's from my Freedom based supergroup, so that should help. I can farm/power level both sides. I'll be building a base after we get the first 15 joined up.

For more info, check out reddit.com/r/redditsg. Or whisper me in game: @Admiral Norman. Or PM me on reddit: admiralnorman. Or PM me here!

    Thanx for for your time!

Edit: I am also interested in joining a coalition. Let me know

I second this. I farm "Beasts II" quite effectively with SO's. When power leveling, I use +3x8. When I ticket farm, I use +1x8.
  6. I like the survivability in this build. High resitances with defense and regen. I had a build similar when I started that I copy pasted off the forums. After a while, I forsook some survivability for more recharge and accuracy. I think you're going to want perma hasten and energize. And at 16% accuracy, you may have trouble when not level shifted. At least that was my experience.
  7. The build I've been using. I've been running it in incarnate content, energy farms, and other end game task forces:

    http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/downl...8DFF035B78F2F4

A little light on defense, makes me dependent on purples when not level shifted. But with the recharge and regen through the roof, I really tear it up. Also, I don't waste power selections in power surge and jacob's ladder. I hate any power with a huge crash. And with the recharge rate so high, you'll never get a chance to activate another attack in the chain.

I went with MU mastery for the concept. While it's cool, soul would have produced a much higher dps.

Edit: and yes, I use taunt all the time. Especially in BAF when people don't run out with two rings.

Id skip the t9 cuz with barrier you shouldnt need it and energize for the heal.

More rech really helps elec melee and the Mu Lightning is great for killing runners or for a decent ranged attack.

Oh jeez, it's clear that I completely missed the mark with regen. Lesson learned there big time.

And I'm happy to see Power Surge gone. I hate the crash from it.

It's also nice to not have to worry about acc debuffs.

Here is my stab at it. Your capped on acc against +3's here which since soling crates in the warehouse at +3 is one of your goals I figured you might appreaciate.

You shouldn't have to spam powersink to keep fighting with this build since with energize up your looking at 2+eps gain.

Once you get to your level shift in the Spiritual tree you will be at less than a 1 second down time on hasten. Right around a 1 second downtime on Energize also. Which honestly depending on your luck with the +recharge proc in Thunderstrike those will prob both be perma some of the time pre alpha slot.

Trying to cram more S/L in here gets really wasteful. You are not going to get to the incarnate cap of 59% but you are able to pop 2 small purples away from the itrial cap.

You can rotate 2 purples and barrier and be able to solo crates fairly easily. The KD in Thuderstrike and LR will help with that. In fact any fight that you can survive for over 20 seconds leans heavily in your favor as thats how long it will take you to PS foes end bars into nothing.

For AE energy farming you have your damage aura and your normal compliment of AOE's this should be cake for you.

For all around normal content this build will perform well across a wide range of TF's. You have all the advantages an /ELA normally has and your 1 purple or shield away from softcap.

I would much prefer to run /Soul for a PPP since Gloom is just that damn good but I think you will do just fine with /Mu.

You might find the ST damage a bit lacking overall but that isn't the easiest thing to fix on a ELM/ and still keep things fairly sturdy and cheapish.
Yeah, i see what you're saying about soul. If it wasn't for the matching powers, I'd definitely take it. I'm also going to take Ion for the judgment slot. So I'll be an elec x4! MUAHAHA!

Things like accuracy caps elude me. I really appreciate your knowledge! Since you're talking about caps, is there a significant difference between 34% s/l def and 40%?

I'm sorry if my ignorance is annoying.
  9. So I just hit lvl 47. I'd like to not waste a ton of inf if I don't have to. So I could use so criticism.

    Goals:

    - Overall survivability
    - AOE beast in AE energy farms
    - Solo the warehouse in LAM at +3.
*Edit: oh, and I forgot. Use no purple IO's.

Please, any advice, constructive or not will be appreciated. My character will be waiting in the auction house for your responses! :-) Thanx in advance.

  10. So I'm trying to build my fire/fire/fire to farm AE missions. I would like to boost a ton of Fire Defense, but I'm falling short. Any help/critique is appreciated.

  11. Has this worked out well for you? It seems to be the only updated fire/therm around here. And I'm fairly terrible with making builds.

    So far my thoughts:

    - Overall, the build seems very good.

    - You can't fight with invisibly on. It toggles "Only affecting self." So maybe it'd be good for running out in a jam. Otherwise its just a lotg anchor.

    - Haste becomes perma with any incarnate spiritual alpha slot. T3 yields an overlap.

    - Which destiny would you go with?

    - How is your damage output?

    - It seems fairly expensive. Are there alternative sets that would yield similar results?
  12. Once there is a large enough database of player made missions, i forsee us logging in, and MA grinding from 1 to 50.

    Yes!

Quick question? What are the exact start and stop times? Downtime friday to downtime monday?

    An e-mail answered my question:

Issue 12: Midnight Hour is live and the game has more great content than ever! Once again, the big weekend is coming to Paragon City™ and the Rogue Isles™. Roughly twice a year we turn up the dial and invite players to rack up XP at double the normal rate. For an entire weekend, Hero and Villain characters will receive double the XP, Influence and Infamy for all of their accomplishments in the game.

The fun begins Friday, July 18th! Take advantage of this opportunity to level up your favorite Heroes and Villains twice as quickly as normal. Good luck and have fun!

    Double XP Event Timing:

    Start: Friday, July 18th, 2008 at 8:59am PST / 11:59am EST

    Finish: Sunday, July 20th, 2008 at 8:59pm PST / 11:59pm EST
  14. Yes!

Quick question? What are the exact start and stop times? Downtime friday to downtime monday?
  15. You're right. Aim is plenty for a corr. I think he means if you're soloing though. Then, if you don't kill everything, sometimes you're kinda effed.
  16. Anyone have any pve team and/or pvp team builds?
  17. Ok, Dr. Brainstorm, tomorrow is today. WHERE IS THAT REPORT!?!?!?
  18. Wow, it now becomes worth it to aquire a 42 month account, instead of waiting another 2 years. DARN ME FOR TAKING A BREAK AND NOT PAYING FOR IT!
  19. My biggest gripe about regen is that you have to dedicate so many slots to the secondary set, that it is difficult to overpower your attacks. It takes a lot of slots, and even then you can't really "tank."
I build scrappers for dps in melee range. The only regen/resistance that's needed is to overcome the AoE's that hit the tank. With regen, you better pick a power set with build-up and then six slot it. Also grab hasten and three slot that. And don't run into that big mob while your hasten is down!

One question, is there a method for the team leader to remove a player that DC'ed or logged off? If not, that might be nice QoL addition.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think this will have to adressed. I have been a member of very acitve groups for a long time. I think there has only been one time in which I was on a tf with 8 sg mates. Tf's just won't get done, if you expect them to be accomplished using only "friends"
Maybe is someone exits CoX, their character name still stays in the team list. But displays their current location as "logged off"
  21. How about I say "using the map, also." as apposed to "using the map instead"?

That way it won't mess up your mojo.
  22. Oh, and for teleportation. Could that be activated using the map instead? Maybe with a circle around the character's location, showing activation range? Naturally, one would only be able to teleport somewhere that they hae uncovered. I might actually choose this as a travel power if this were implemented.
  23. In regards to the recent complaints to the fly pool power set, which I keep seeing posted all over the forums.

Maybe there is a way to program fly so that depending on the angle of your decent (or accent), you gain a speed bonus. It would be reasonable to assume that one could reach terminal velocity, in that short a distance, if they are able to "propel" themselves to the ground. For instance at 90 degree down angle (straight to the ground) I would expect the character to travel at a minimum of 120 mph, after a rapid assension in velocity.

However, when flying at about 10 degree down angle (which seems to be how one flys, 95% of the time) The current speed is adequate. I would also expect a speed drop if you are traveling straight up, if we are to apply a gravity adjustment to fly.

While looking at the coding used, while flying, this really shouldn't be too difficult to write in. Any responses devs? I think it would add a realizm to flying that many would appreciate.

    Oh, and btw, I know I can't speell. I'm a nukeular physisit, not a english profffesur. :-)
  24. Now she is all set for when I build a city to mirror Paragon City in real life. You see, my superhero friends and I would like a place to live that is more accepting of our kind. We will elect her mayor.
