This is good news for many reasons. Clearly they feel the closed beta is progressing smoothly enough that they are comfortable with that kind of relatively long term public prediction/announcement. There have been previous open betas we got basically no warning about.

It will certainly cut down on a lot of speculation threads.
A few things:
1. Who is Maelstrom? Birthday listed May 22. Wikipedia picks up enhancements named after Maelstrom... but no Maelstrom as an NPC.
2. I would use thisa calendar mostly to look up things coming up, but it's a bit busy with all the historical dates. If it were up to me, the historical dates would have been a sidebar "This month in history". However, an easy edit would be to highlight the events that relate to this year. Either a different color or a heavy double line outline on current events would be nice, IMO.
3. Three and not the leaked two XP Weekends in one year! Huzah! [Edit. Oops, that third one is actually into next year. My bad. But still 3 in 13 months! ]

Oops, I was mixed up with my timing... thought everything on the calendar was for this calendar year when, in fact, it stretches into next year. So, only two per calendar year.

I think that you guys have been doing a GREAT job lately when it comes to communications and managing expectations.
Most folks are reasonable and don't expect good news all the time, but they do expect news of pretty much any type as often as possible.

April 28th, 2008 marks the fourth year since the launch of City of Heroes. To celebrate this achievement, the NCsoft NorCal team has created a City of Heroes / City of Villains calendar for fans of the game. This downloadable calendar features each of the 12 Issues that have been launched since the games release, one for each month of the year.
