Wow. Just wow. I'm not sure what to say. What you're offering is simply so wonderful. The price points just come at such a good price. I've seem things like this elsewhere and it seems more like punishment then purchase. The veteran rewards are perfect for this, and the gift is quite simply generous and well appreciated.

Ok I'll ask LH. Probably already been answered. Any idea if you guys are ever gonna give, at least current subscribers, another global rename token? Would be nice, if not its cool. Just thought it be good to have one, since I do have an account I'd like to rename..

On subject, I am very happy with these new slots.. I was already running out on my home server Thank you very much devs for your hard work put into this game.

You're not agreeing with me. Because what you say is the opposite of what I say. And if you think buying another account would be cheaper, consider this:

Current account, 12 slots/server on 4 servers (for me). 3 more slots when I12 arrives, for 51 slots total. Purchasing 51 more slots would cost $206 under the current pricing scheme. Purchasing a second account would cost $30 + $15/mo, not to mention having 3 fewer slots, no vet rewards, and none of my bonuses such as CoV collector's edition and CoH collector's edition.

In 12 months, the second account (of 48 usable slots) would cost more than the 51 slots purchased. Heck, If I only purchased 48 slots, the second account would be more expensive in 11 months.

Ok.. I don't normally post here.. but I've just read this ENTIRE thread (yes.. all 59 pages.. just have to love insomnia, coffee, and working night shifts..).. and I've got a couple of comments to make:

1: To the Dev's.. Bravo! Way To Go! I don't post much, but I do read the boards frequently, and this has got to be the best announcement that I've seen in ages! Excellent way to make it all balanced IMHO, and give the playerbase what We all need.

2: To the "doomers": It's a pretty simple system going into effect regarding the extra slots and awards for vets. Honestly the Dev's don't have to give Us squat, but they are in effect going well beyond what was done previously. An example of that would be people who bought CoV when it first came out just for the extra slots (I know, I was one of them.. just started playing villians about a month ago, and bought CoV the day it was released). We paid upwards of $30 for 4 slots and an extra CD. Now I can get 5 slots for $20, and no extra little scratchable disk to get tossed around or lost.. can you say sweetness.. sure ya can. And hey, I'll only be getting 4 extra slots when I12 drops.. and guess what.. I'm happy about that (but My altitis isn't as bad as some people's).

In conclusion:
Extra slots available for purchase: Sweet
Extra slots GIFTED upon i12 release: Extra Sweet
Extra slots GIFTED for Vet rewards: Uber Sweet
VEAT's, Powerset proliferation, Zone changes, new costume features, new content: *Goes into Sugar Shock*

I'm so crazy happy about the extra slots, the cost and the logic behind it that I'm really jonesin' for I12. 7 new characters and moving 4 back to Virtue! w00t!

I'm of mixed feelings on this one. The price seems rather steep, but it's a good feature to have.

My question here would be, are the additional slots fixed to the server, or are they floating slots (as long as they're empty that is, obviously an occupied slot would require a Character Transfer)

I think if the additional slots are floating slots, then they will be much nicer for the price. Right now all my toons are on Virtue, but I've been considering for a while starting up on an lower population server. I don't want to get slots for one server then change which server I'm playing on and essentially lose those slots.

the additional slots are a dream come true - but they need to do something (even if its for just a limited time after the slots release) to make server transfers cheaper. I would love to consolodate the 5 servers i play just into the 2 main ones which i could with slots now - except then it is $10 per transfer which would total over $360 for me.

They're fixed to the server. So, if you want to move to a different server, I'd make that choice before buying and/or slotting extra character slots.

im happy 99.9% of the time, people just read and interpret what i say to be negative.

its one of the perks with working from home.. i dont have any real stress.. so why would i ever be unhappy..

but people complaining about more slots should be thrown into a garbage pail.. 4reelz!!
