both cores max out at 100% <snip> Anyone have any ideas?

The game doesn't support multi-core... you have to add the command line to force it to single core. This is a well documented issue. -
The 200 series nVidia cards are hardware supported PhysX, not emulated. I think the 100 series had the emulated though.
It doesn't matter really until NCSoft decides to rewrite the PhysX engine in CoX (if they ever do) to support the new API, but it's nice for the newer games. -
that's a lot to do with how they're handling model occlusion. It's not something easy to fix this far into things, as it would require a fair deal of revamping the gfx engine.
unfortunately, I think the same is true of the other transparency bugs in the game (like how the edges of chains on costume parts let you see right through your toons body to the scenary) -
odd random thought here... reading back on red posts in this thread led me to wonder about the KB + TK anomoly... wouldn't a reasonable solution to this problem be to have a timer on KB where when the timer completed, the KB ends even if you haven't landed on a solid surface yet. This would fix the infinite falling problem. I'm not sure how easy it would be programmatically to add that timer though, or what a reasonable length of time would be :\
I imagine the time would need to vary based on the KB strength (since KB can be slotted up) -
I'm of mixed feelings on this one. The price seems rather steep, but it's a good feature to have.
My question here would be, are the additional slots fixed to the server, or are they floating slots (as long as they're empty that is, obviously an occupied slot would require a Character Transfer)
I think if the additional slots are floating slots, then they will be much nicer for the price. Right now all my toons are on Virtue, but I've been considering for a while starting up on an lower population server. I don't want to get slots for one server then change which server I'm playing on and essentially lose those slots. -

I have to assume it is because of having only 1GB of RAM, since Vista uses more than XP.

Yup. Add that other Gig of RAM and Zoning won't even be an issue.

another thing I found helped me when I was having long zoning times, is the harddrive speed. I went from 5400rpm IDE drives to 7200rpm SATA drives without increasing RAM and my zoning times dropped significantly
I think it's a combination of the 2 to get teh best performance, but no sense replacing harddrives just for zoning... memory is certainly the better route... just something to consider if you're upgrading the drives for other reasons -
very cool
seems a tad bit risky, as there may be some way to exploit this behavior. Not saying that there is a way mind you, just that there is a risk involved that should be considered
but then, you shouldn't be running games on a mission critical computer anyway right? lol
