Very sleek and unique design.

Agreed!
What helmet/eye wear combination did you use to be able to see the character's eyes? I love the way you did the head design on this guy.
I forget the exact name of the visor, but it's under Half Helmets, Detail 2 IIRC.

Here's my entry - my main, Areyu, an elec/elec brute. Suprisingly, I kinda like the colours on him.

Very cool look--really well designed overall. Great use of the chest symbol.
I've tried to be helpful and put up a rough page so that you can scroll through the entries. I may have missed one, but you'll have to tell me. Because the images are so varied in sizes, I finally just opted to list them top to bottom trying to keep everything close to its original sizes.

Depends on the power sets, really, combined with the look. What's the secondary?
[/ QUOTE ]
secondary was WP. just went for more a more natural based secondary to go with BS. not much thought put into the stuff like sets/origins, just a superhero with a high tech sword and no powers :/
[/ QUOTE ]
I'll ponder on this a bit....I know my first reaction when I saw it was 'bug' from the eyes. I'll try to think of something fitting.

Looks like Aviator glasses, Half-helmet (round), and ninja or assassin mask.
There have been some very nice entries, this turnout has been just excellent. Submissions are closed and my judging will now begin!
'Kay. This contest is being judged and costumes overviewed from ddgryphon's contest page (here) , which is proving to be very helpful to me for the judging. Thanks a lot
CYBER PALADIN:
Pretty nice overall. The concept is interesting enough and the colors work well. Especially like how you did the chainmail there. Very solid costume overall.
TURBINE THUNDER:
Sorta simple in its presentation, but the plane-theme stands out very strongly in this design. I like the concept a lot, honestly.
MECHANICAL WIZARD:
Woah. Very unordinary concept, presented in a very unique way. Justice and Jester parts, with winged boots, adorned with a kilt, karate robe, and vanguard and enforcer facepieces? From that description, you'd think the whole thing is a hopeless jumble, and yet it's all pulled off so perfectly. VERY well done.
BONEDANCER BARA:
Ooh. This one has a very distinct theme, and out of all of them so far, uses the color scheme to its fullest; the black adorned with white bone makes for some interesting and fitting contrast and theme to the whole 'bone' idea. Great job.
ARTEMIS 2.0:
I don't immediately get an archer vibe from this costume, but the costume itself is actually quite nice. I'd wager it might look a bit strange from the back, but the front view is alright. Fine work.
SIR TANKS-A-LOT:
Whoo. Now THIS is a jumble. Nothing on the outfit seems to really match with one another, which is a bit of a setback. The enforcer glove with the tech glove is a weird pair, and the metallic bottom doesn't match very well with the metallic top. The concept is a little unclear to me as well, but to each their own. Always pleasant to see what others come up with, y'know!
RADIANT ANGEL:
Not bad. The colors work well on this outfit, and there's definitely a clear wing-thing going on, but there also seems to be a dominance of the Justice Set in his outfit. Probably not the most innovative outfit out there, but as an actual costume, it all fits together quite nicely in color, layout, and concept.
THE GHOSTLY SKULL:
Sometimes, simple can be quite well done, and The Ghostly Skull is no exception. Now, honestly, out of the two bone heroes, I'm leaning more toward bonedancer bara due to that costume using the colors more fittingly for a bone-themed hero, but the shear classicalness of this outfit just has a great charm to it. Color wise, this outfit is pretty well balanced, and the theme is consistent in this one. Well done.
ROBO-ROOK:
It's quite nice. The colors are matched up well, and the little jester mask is pretty cool as well, but it can be a bit difficult to see the whole 'robo' in this design. Really, he's mostly cloth, with metal gloves and boots. The color also seems slightly unbalanced between the upper and lower torso (there's light blue on the chest, but not the pants), but that's the only two problems here. Generally, it's not bad at all.
DIMITRIUS JONES:
Pretty fine. The samurai shoulders with the other various tech parts do correlate a bit. though I could wager it needs more yellow, and the helmet more detail. A good and solid design otherwise. As with Turbine Thunder, the plane-theme stands out very strongly and works well with these colors.
COLDSTAR:
Much like The Ghostly Skull above, this is another very simple and very classic idea and design, and yet its also very effective. Color scheme wise, there's a slight misbalance of color between the upper and lower body, with the upper mainly being blue and white, and the bottom being black, but it really does feel intentional, and works out finely in the end. I think the cape helps the balance as well. Very nice.
TEAL ARCHER:
The colors work alright, and the torso armor matches well, but there also seems to be a lot of looping dagger patterns. It's an okay costume by all means, but generally, I think it just needs more contrast; make some distinction between the gloves and boots. Add some more pattern variety to your outfit, though not TOO much. Just keep it up and follow advice and you'll get the hang of costume designing.
MUSTANG SALLY:
Contrasting the two plane-themed heroes is now a car-themed one! I really do feel a car-concept here, what with the lightweight outfit and checkered-tights there. Colors balance out nice, and it's generally a fine costume all around. Nice job there!
HELLCAT:
Oooh, lotta fade here. Our third aircraft hero, this one does have a good idea with the whole blend idea, but I've never really been fond of the 'metallic' outfit type. Just me really. The chest symbol could also use a bit more contrast from the surrounding outfit. Other than that and a few other slight misbalances, such as the justice gloves, the costume is quite well thought out.
TEMPERED JUSTICE:
Quite a departure from the blue and yellow schemes I've been seeing a lot of (though, your color scheme seems a tad bit similar to Chisoku's ). The blend of Crey, Justice, and Enforcer pieces is effective, and lock patterns are funky. I'd bet a bit more yellow on some parts could've helped it out a bit, but regardless, it's a well-done costume!
SHARPSTAR:
More classic simplicity, though presented in a unique way. If you look closely, you can see her blue jumpsuit turns to yellow, which turns to black at the hands and feet. It's actually a really neat effect. This costume is simple, yet very neat in its visual effects.
BURNINGNIGHTMAREMASKMAN!:
Well, I can't really judge you on your concept, but the costume is pretty well done. The gloves, belt, and emblem all stand out very well from the rest of the outfit. Quite well done if I do say so.
ATRUM MILITUS:
Not bad at all. My only complaint is that the lower part of the costume could probably use some more yellow, but that's just me. To each their own, and frankly, this does very well in a similarly simple and classic way as some of the other entries do.
ORANGE CRUSHER:
It's a bit regular with the stealth parts and matching colors on them. I do say, though, that the belt and emblem do contrast well with the rest of the outfit due to usage of white. Overall, the design is alright.
AREYU:
Not bad at all. The helmet this guy wears is one of the more detailed ones in this contest. The outfit could probably use some white, and also use more underlying textures than just metallic, but that's just me...
(Oh, also, I don't know why, but I REALLY HATE the metallic set for some reason! Gah! Nothing against anyones costume, of course.)
PHARA:
A nice concept with some good colors. Though, honestly, I don't think the metallic (arrr!) set was quite the best fit for this sort of character concept. Regardless, the color scheme fits together well with the different parts (even though there is a lot of metallic.) Fine fine work.
ElElO:
This comes to show you how unique you can get with your different color scheme combos.
We got a lot of gold on blue, a blue on white, and a blue on gold. Now we've got a blue on black, and I'd have to say it's pretty well done. The contrast on this outfit is a bit lacking, though, as you can't really discern the chest emblem from the chest pattern easily, and the belt is also quite hard to distinguish. The blue fade at the ends of the gloves and boots is a pretty nice touch, though. Pretty nice.
I'll post the final judgments for the contest momentarily. (and when I say momentarily, I mean tomorrow. )
EDIT: Aaaaand the final verdict is...
1st place: El. D with The Mechanical Wizard!
2nd place: Djeannie with Bonedancer Bara!
Congratulations! There's our two prize recievers. Post here or send me a PM telling me wether you want a sprite of your costume creation or of one of your characters! (Make sure you give info for your character if it's not the one you entered in the contest).
Great work, all of you. There were very many entries that are worthy of praise!
Woohoo! I brain spaced and forgot to enter my costume! Way to go me! >_>

Oh, there will be another one... There'll be one right now!!
Hello and welcome to round two! Same rules apply as the previous round, and prizes are the same. But the pallet is different!
And this is it.
Hopefully, our results will have colors more true to the actual pallet posted. The colors in the Mustang pallet were a bit off from COH colors, but these ones should match much better.
Deadline for this ones submissions is this Saturday, as I'm not going to NYC this weekend! Horrah! With that said, get snapping, contestants!
(Oh, extra note: Ignore the pink color selected in the lower part of the pallet. It was just a random color. That said, DON'T use it.)
Gratz to the winners!

Vulcanologist David Myerson, while investigating Mt. St. Helens found an odd stone that glowed while emitting no radiation or heat. As he examined it, he realized too late that it was somehow affecting him. He awoke to find himself transformed into the stone and earth creature. He could sense the deepest recesses of the earth and control it and the fiery magma below. He called himself King Cauldera and vowed to use his powers to fight crime (because they either do that or go on a self-absorbed criminal spree--but this guy isn't like that).
Congrats to the winners! and thanks for all the feedback Chisoku

Grats to the winners of the last round!
Went through and did something I like a bit more. It's not perfect, but it's acceptable.

Probably should have found a better lit area... but, well. There's more time for cheesecake shots later, right?
Now I just need to hammer out a backstory. Arrrrgh.
Congrats to winners!
Seeing as the pallet's name is 'poison', I went with a spines/regen scrapper, and just worked out a costume to go with that. Used a more classic costume again, and actually came up with a name this time! Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you, Crackthorne!

So, wait. You're trying to tell me that Brutes and Scrappers arn't the only AT in the game?
Damn you! That looks good, BN.
I made a Spines/Dark for this last night, but yours is better. This scheme is tough to do without it looking like Christmas. Oh well, back to the drawing board...
