Pallet based costume contest!

Welcome to the Pallet based costume contest!

What? What is this?
So, I'm beginning to work on some color-based costume contests. Basically, the gist of the contest is, contestants are given a 5-color color scheme on which to base a costume of any sort.

Okay, so... What do I need to do to join?
Just post a picture(s) of a character or costume that applies to the rules. Several angles and images of high-quality and clarity are preferred.

What are these rules you speak of?
Simple. All you have to do is make a costume that follows the given colors that are designated on a given image of the pallet. Though not built in COH colors, close matches have been selected that correlate well to the actual colors in the pallet. Now, I'll admit, they might be a bit off, so if you actually think you have a better way to match up to the pallet given in the image, by all means, feel free to use it.

There actually are a few exceptions to the color rules, however:
1. Skin color and Hair color are not counted against you... Unless unnatural skin or hair colors are used. For example: if the pallet given calls for different shades of red, your character, sadly, cannot have green skin and/or have his hair dyed blue. His skin and/or hair must be of natural colors, such as blond, black, white, brown, or must also follow in suit with the given pallet.
2. You can use as many or as little as the given pallet colors as you like. Though, keep in mind, a costume with variety in color tends to look better than ones without, and with the limited pallet you're given, you're most likely gonna want to use every last color you got.

Is that all?
I think and hope so. If anything turns out wrong with the rules, I'll update it.

Where are you getting these color schemes?
Lovely little site known as kuler. Hopefully, I'm not causing any big legal problems by doing this, but it's basically a community website where people create and post color schemes. Pretty neat, and I've only begun to learn how to utilize some of the color schemes ingame.

...Right. Anyway, what's the scheme you got?
This blue grey and orange color scheme. As stated before, close matches to the given colors are circled, and if you think you can match the colors better, then feel free to use that.

Is there a prize?
Of course! 1st and 2nd prize winners can get either...
-A sprite of the costume they created
-Or a sprite of an in-game character of their choice.

Sweet! When are submissions due?
You should get your submissions in by Sunday 16th. You'll have plenty of time to get these in, though judging might take a while, as at that time, I'll have just gotten back from NYC.

Regardless, I wish you luck! Let us see your colorized genius!

Can we enter multiple times?

You mean enter multiple costumes? You can enter one submission and then replace it with another, but multiple designs can't be put into the contest at once.

That's what I meant, if I wanted to change my entry. I did kind of suggest the other, sorry about that. Thanks for the answer.

Okay, I may have gotten a little carried away with this one, but after the idea got into my head I couldn't help but push it all the way to the end.

Meet Lt. Dimitrius Jones

He even comes with a spiffy Bio:

Lt. Dimitrius Jones, Air Force 2nd Battalion "Casket Wolves"

Lt. Jones--or "D" ['Dee'] as his friends call him--was born without any special powers, nor extraordinary traits or special skills that he could scribble onto a resume. He spent his mid teens working in grease stained burger joints as he stumbled through high school on an average grade. He never considered his circumstances of his early life to be terrible by any means; he may have lived in a less than respectable part of town growing up, didn't have an exorbitant lifestyle, and for a long time was never even aware of what a T.V. was until out of elementary school when a friend showed him what a "VHS" was and spent three days watching videos until passing out from excitement long before exhaustion was going to catch up with him.

By the time he graduated high school however, D's life took a spiraling drag into oblivion when his parent's divorced, his father "accidentally" fell 35 stories off a cross beam during the construction of a Scraper in Steel, and his mother over dosing herself on methamphetamines. D enlisted himself into the Air Force hoping the strenous training and military drive could help him run from his past.

Three weeks into basic training he was drafted into an underground project called "Flight Risk", trainees in various government facilities being given the oppurtunity to "enhance" themselves. Jones was injected with a nanite that created a genetic alteration to polarize gravitational fiels through his body generating the ability to fly.

Jones was released back into training and graduated with honors. Keeping his developing ability a secret for several months until his squadron was sent into the field during the Gulf War. Several planes down and many men lost, Dimitrius was quickly cascading into a growing problem; in particular with the tail of his fighter lighting up in a pillar of flame. Ejection seat failing, Dimitrius popped the hatch and free floated into the air as his jet screamed to an explosive end on the ground thousands of feet below.

No parachute, no chance, and the oxygen mask strapped to his helmet would only last for so long. Adrenaline kicked in, the nanites worked a little overtime and there was a new bird in the air.

In the following months Jones was promoted to Lieutenant, decorated a couple times over and assisting in the lead of a squadron that would later become known as the "Casket Wolves". The only team anyone ever joked about that should have brought the boxes for their enemies, by the time they left the battle field their swift pack formatted system left nothing but a stew of opposing forces defeated. Sometimes a bit too merciless however there weren't many battalions the Air Force enlisted into combat nearly as often.

Jones as since turned down two promotions and a pay raise in exchange for his current flight suit called the P-51, modeled after the Mustang Fighters from WWII

Doubt I'll place all that high, but... The point is the fun, right? And to experiment going outside one's sandbox to explore a whole new world of artistic opportunity! I tend to stick to dual-color schemes, so this one kind of threw me hard. Add onto that I suck at costumes in general, not to mention naming, and, well...

We get untruth in advertisement.

Is this a one-shot contest, or can we expect more in the future? It was a lot of fun mucking around, in the costume generator and Paintshop afterwards.

Edit: I swear I can read. It's the comprehension part before coffee that gets me. <_<

This is very cool, I had to pull it into photoshop and blow it up 300%, but it is a really interesting take on the color scheme and a very unique design.
