I'm feeling a little better now that I only used it as a minor highlight.

Still, I'll go back and edit it tomorrow anyway. Too tired today. Marathon levelling session on lowbies for various purposes. x.X

Though, feeling incredibly silly for having missed that myself. :/

You may need to just boost the gamma in a paint program if your game screencaptures are dark. Not sure but the gamma setting in game doesn't seem to affect screenshots for some, if not all people. I lightened up a bunch of base images for someone recently due to that.

Okay, took her back and tweaked her with the correct pallet--some days I just don't know about me. Tell me if she's okay or if she's too dark.

Well, I decided to throw my hat into the ring for the third round after admiring the work that was done in the previous rounds... So say hello to Project Glory, a new Invuln/Mace Tanker on Infinity. The white of the face really is the second white in, but it looks bluish outside of CoH now. I went for a sort of Golden Age Futuristic look (or should that be Futuristic Retro? It really is too detailed for Golden Age, but it sort of pays respect to it) and I think he turned out pretty good. Anyway, was fun making him and I look forward to participating again in the future (although hopefully next time it will be a color palette that I can use to make a costume for one of my existing toons, my altoholism is bad enough as it is).

Regarding the red and green palette...I'm sorry I missed that one, I actually like the combo. Very close to one that someone came up with for a fake football team (text sim) in one of my leagues (Martian mascot). I think the trick was to go with the light green as the main color and red/dark green as the accents.

Yokie doke, the original link should still be fine, but I did actually update her costume to fix the muck up I had in there originally.

I just went and trashed the original file, and replaced it.

Though! To save time..

Force Lass Redux

Decided to muck around with a few elements while I was already redoing her anyway, and ended up dropping Devices for Energy Manipulation (now she's REALLY all about the force).

And still upset about not making the grade as one of Paragon City's finest. Gumshoe, she ain't.

at first i couldn't think of anything for this one, but then after taking a closer look at the colours, and seeing the suggestion of a patriotic themed character, a lightbulb went up over my head. the way they looked in CoH, the colours (except for the brownish one) seemed to match those of the newfoundland flag, and guess who just happens to be from newfoundland? yup, me. so after working to make it look abit like the flag, and also working the brown in on the hair, i managed to create this:

Heh, more challengers in this one >_> But I don't mind, since I won the last one. Probably only because it was a tough theme for some people to work with. Have fun judging this one ; )

Definately a lot of competition this round... I don't envy poor DDGryphon his self-appointed task!

I'm just glad I actually got a costume this time that I'm really happy with, and that the character's got a bit more life to her (backstory wise, anyway.. It just seemed to flow), and a powerset that captures my playstyle better.

What was a simple costume entry has turned into a permanent fixture on my character list. And I couldn't be happier.

ok, so i'm very much a minimalist when it comes to design - i dont like to add anything more than necessary to get the point across. but i went to bed last night feeling a bit lazy that I didnt get that annoying purple/brown color in the suit, so I did a bit of tweaking today and came up with Airborne Arbiter (take 2):

If you're playing in fullscreen mode, the way that I've found I can take shots of the character creation screen is by hitting the windows key and then clicking the start bar and then hitting printscreen and going into paint and pasting (windows key, hitting the start bar will make it so that windows is the active program instead of CoH and then printscreen's functionality returns to normal. Unfortunately, you can't get a shot of the whole screen this way since the start bar will be covering some things).

On mine, In full screen mode you can hit the print screen button with the character creation up, then hit the window key, open paint, and go to edit, it's always had the paste option available when i do, and my sceenshot pops up.

Heres mine, i kept thinking about how many countries consider red white and blue patriotic, and decided to try France. But once I saw the gilt on white, I just couldn't add the red, so i went with the Bourbon colors. And wow, it was a lot harder that I expected to get elegant from the costume options.
