Great! I'll see about getting a color palette together soon.

That does look like a challenging one. I think the pale blue color might match one circle higher than you have circled. Then again, it could just be my monitor here at work...

well, i actually did color-matching on photoshop, and these were the closest matches I could find... shrug

Here's the pallet again, but I put the CoH color-version underneath the original Soybean one from kuler.

I marked the wrong dark blue, so I changed it

do you like this one, or should we do summat else?

AND, what say we alter the rules a bit, and say that ALL colors MUST be used in the costume? Five can be hard to fit in, but I like that extra... challenge, I guess!

That's cool, Seraff. She looks like a ground to sky gradient.

I say we run with that palette. Should we start a new thread?

Also, who's going to judge? Do we want one person or a vote?

Thanks mate, the ground-sky gradient is what I had in mind. I might do another one, but I like the hippy-ness of it

Anyway, so yeh I spose a new thread is a good idea - want to start it Nazghul??

as for judging, I dont have much preference really - logisitically it might be easier for one to judge (maybe you??? lol), if only because collecting a vote from so many people might be like herding cats! unless, of course, all the participants WANT to vote?

Why not invite someone of the hardcore artists in here as a guest referee? Then have a different one each contest?

Heya!

So, Naghul1 has started a *NEW* Pallet based costume contest! Just, you know, fyi

Hopefully one day Chisoku will return to judge the final round of his contest, but I'm glad we're keeping the idea alive!

I agree. I'm looking at it as "keeping the fun alive" in Chisoku's absence.

roro - first off, great costumes, we have similar taste! second, the pallet you used isnt quite the one posted (but I'll bet you thought the black was circled, like loads of other folks ) and third, Chisoku seems to have abandoned this competition - BUT, there's another one going on that Nazghul1 is hosting - it's not the same pallet, but you should put something in, it's fun!

I can't believe I missed this for so long

I'm off to make costumes based upon the soybean scheme
