Can you please stop claiming that the veteran reward system is a 'program which rewards loyal players' because as we all know it doesn't work like that.

Someone who has been playing for 3 months has more useful and more rewarding bonuses than someone who has been playing for 3 years. A reward is when you give someone something of value to them, an award is something to just mark an occasion.

The veteran scheme doesn't offer rewards, it offers awards once you get far enough into it. It's only rewarding for the first couple years when you get universally valuable things like trenchcoats, wings, temp powers and respecs. Once you get into the 2-3 year mark you have more respecs than you could ever need thus making them devalued and you're not getting costume peices which can be used on a wide range of characters, instead you get very very specific costume peices which are restrictive and not even suitable for super humans half the time.

It's been said time and time again, you cannot claim it offers rewards for loyalty when you insist on ensuring that people who haven't subscribed as long don't feel 'left out'. A reward is valuable because people want it, soon as it stops being desirable it's not a reward anymore.

Well, since your future self goes back in time and repeats the actions of your past self, thereby replacing your past self in your prior adventures, then your past self is actually your future self who already has the power to open the door. Therefore, if your past self has the power to open the door, then your current self must still have the power, allowing you to open the door in the future to go to the past so that you have the power in the present.

It's really quite simple.

Yeah, it really is one of the strongest points of the issue. Conventional wisdom about what new players want to hear probably says that no one really cares about customization and want to know more about loots, content and powersets, but honestly, customization is a huge draw to a game since it helps personalize the experience of it even moreso.

If it were me, I'd have opened the article with talking about Ouroboros, then the new enhancements, then the new Powersets and finally closed it strong with Weapon Customization.

I would love to see if they make some of these historic battles PvP enabled, with one faction (hero or villain) trying to make the event occur as it did the first time around, & the opposite faction trying to stop them.

Well, I'm quite happy with my Vet Pet. Also, happy with the all the Vet respecs. Nice base accessories. The nice, shiny, badges are cool too...can never have enough badges.

Whether you want to call them 'awards' or 'rewards' (both mean pretty much the same thing in this context), I still like most of the later ones just as much as the "useful" ones you are reffering to.

Well, except the boxing gloves...I'll /sign that part.....and the costume tokens have gotten a bit out of hand

Maybe I'm missing the point of your post? <shrug> Are you saying you would like more powers or something? Pretty sure more powers would unbalance the game quite a bit.....I'd hate to be nerfed simply because I've played for a few more months than others. Or maybe you're asking for something else? Yeah, you're post is not making much sense to me. Sorry

Would I be happy if a future vet reward/award was a vehical travel power? HECK YES!!! Basically anything the devs will put out as a vet whatever, I'll look forward to....I like getting new stuff for simply playing a game I like....makes playing the game even more of a 'rewarding' experience to participate in.

Signature character costume temporary powers? Bahahahahaa ... yes, please!

This year I'm gonna dress up as Synapse and go around throwing myself at people.

I hope the Posi costume is the "helmet on" version, though.

Well, assuming that "CoX NPCs" means the signature characters. If it turns out that all I get is a Cadao Kestrel or Wilson Zucco costume, I'll be rather disappointed.

Likely this interview was done a while ago and held under wraps until NCSoft gave the green light to publish it. Considering Positron already mentioned that WC was finalized for this issue rather late in development, it's quite possible this interview was done before WC was even in the I11 build.

We flashback to the mission that unlocks the Ouroboros Citadel, which we missed the first time because we couldn't get to it because we didn't unlock time travel because we couldn't do the Ouroboros unlock mission to unlock time travel.

So what if you've spent well over $500 on this damn game by now... Do you have any idea what a Smoker has spent for their Fix over the last 3-4 years? ...nevermind what they'll be spending in the NEXT 3-4.

The other reason there was no mention of the Weapons Customizing in the article could be that the interviewer didn't do their homework and never asked that question. Stranger things have happened.

It's nice knowing some semi-concrete dates for things upcoming. God knows we'll get an email about the Halloween event two days after it starts


Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.
