Things I'd really like to see added:

A "Training Computer" or "Simulation room" enabling you to train up in your base. Preferably with cool attackable targets like are seen in RWZ, or the crey drones in outbreak.

An Auction House interface. WW is laggy enough on its own, I don't need to stand around eighty other people firing off their autoheals while I'm just trying to finish my build.

As has been mentioned, more uses for the Mission Computer. It's a really cool thing and would incentivize many more people to move into bases. Or heck, just make all current TFs/SFs available through the mission computer, as a stopgap. That would at least make the base legitimate PvE content.

Windows. I know there are technical limitations, and I don't really expect to see them, but I'd really want to see windows with <insert background here> in bases. The whole interdimensional space thing is a very limited concept - and space stations and skyscrapers have been the realms of heroes and villains forever. Let's get that in game.

Also - please rebalance prestige requirements. They're absolutely ludicrous. I'd like to know exactly how many supergroups are in the entire game who use the largest plot size. I'll be surprised if there actually are any.

I"d like to /sign all of your ideas, also I'd like to voice my annoyance at the one Strike Force that is ONLY available from the Mission Computer, Silver Mantis. Please, put Silver Mantis somewhere in Cap or Shark so we don't have to find someone able to allow access to their base to do the taskforce.

I'd love to be able to re-design bases from scratch - mark some items as "keep in storage" and others as "sell" - click a button and have it all either moved to a temporary storage "bin" area off-map (or) sold off - depending on the marked selection.

It would also be nice to be able to mount the beacons a eye-height in relation to the base of the teleporter (little mounting slabs, or stands - something)

Arched wall sections (to round of the corners of square rooms).

Maybe this stuff has already been suggested. There are basically 6 things I would like to see regarding bases:

<ul type="square">[*]More decorative items (e.g., the pool and gambling tables in Pocket D)[*]Item placement according to an [x,y,z] system (for vertical placement/stacking)[*]360 degree rotation during item placement[*]The ability to toggle raiding on/off (in, say, the settings menu); if toggled off, there should be no placement limitations (including doorways)--with the understanding that any items placed thusly are subject to destruction/removal if raids are toggled on at any point[*]Sound effects or music as part of the base/room style[*]Environmental elements (e.g., indoor/outdoor styles; the ability to add water to a room at varying depths; etc.)[/list]chris.

My small suggestion of the day: something like a "real time quotes" device that enables access to the market. Oops! Looks like I'm not the first to suggest this.

i dont know if this has been said or not... 20 pages is a lot to read in 1 sitting... the base items that "attach" to other items or itme sthat can have items attached to them should say what they attach to instead of saying this attaches to something. very vague and makes it hard for SG's with very little base construction experience to create a functional base.

Usually the item info will tell you (right-click the item) what it attaches to.

Suggestion for today

Expand Personal Invention Storage to be Personal Storage

And make the storage accesible by every character on the account please.

I am hoping for bi or tri lvl bases, the magic desks are great but so time consuming, not to mention prestige taking. I see no reason why we shouldn't be allowed to stack decorative items, and have a way to set levels in rooms like the teleport bays and salvage rooms. it would allow for more space to be utalized in smaller bases like mine. also, if we could be allowed to place 8 telepads in the current rooms that only allow 4 with the bi level option in place that would be perfect

Here's one I don't recall seeing in any of the lists.

I would like to be able to put personal items back into storage while editing the base so that I can empty the extra rooms from my small hidden plot, then size back down to the tiny hidden plot to reclaim the prestige for the small hidden plot and use it combined with prestige I have now to buy the hidden plot, then just take the personal items back out of storage and remake the rooms they were in.

The way things work currently I have to throw out the personal items and remake them to be able to resize the base.

Umm. Not sure I understand, Canthro. Are you saying you want to upgrade from one plot size to another?

You can do this without having all of the accumulated prestige for the next tier plot size. You only have to have the difference of prestige from the plot size you have to the plot size you are going to.

For example (sorry, cant get in the editor at the moment for real numbers), you are in plot B, which cost 1.3 million prestige. You want to go to plot C, which costs 3 million prestige. You only need 1.7 million prestige on hand, as the editor will credit you the 1.3 million as part of the upgrade.

Sorry if that's not quite what you mean, and yes there is still a need for storage when moving things about, especially for created items. That feature has long been a request from players.

I would like to see customizable art for the walls and such.

Not actually a major undertaking, or at least perhaps not as much of one as you might think. What we need is a blank template, or a very generic template, similar to the one used for comic covers (a vet reward base item). This could put 9 or 12 or 15 (however many they want to array) items in one resource, that users could modify and place in their pigg folders for custom looks to these items. Actually, you can already do this with the comic covers (quite easily, using splasher), but you lose the use of the comic covers. Adding a blank template for players to base their creations on, along with some quick notes on where to put the files, would be wonderful. Add another version with landscape orientation as well. If you really want to go wild, add half a dozen blanks for each orientation and players could really add some flair.

Players could then download the modified packs from others so that they could see the customized art as the designer intended. Other applications could also be derived, such as SG leaders using custom designs for bulletin board notes or various rewards like "Hero of the moth" etc. and asking SG members to download the updated customizations on a regular basis.

And with minimal tweaking, you could likely make these an addition to the new mission creation system as well

This was just a convoluted way of saying "I want to be able to put crafted and vet reward items back into my inventory". And yes, it has been suggested before.

I think he wants to be able to have the 2nd plot and then resize to the free plot at rent time to avoid paying the measly 20k prestige per 6 weeks. Twenty thousand prestige is a few hours of solo effort, so I don't see why anyone would want to go through this effort.

I think he was legitimately confuzzled about the prices of the plots, thinking he had to save up all of the price of that plot in order to upgrade, not understanding that the cost of the cost of the plot you are already occupying is deducted from the cost you are upgrading to.

How about Veteran Players being able to choose their Vet emblems for SG emblems? I would love to have a captured Council flag hanging in my trophy room.

I think the Banners (and other logo items) should be reworked to be crafted items. If we had an interface similar to the costume creator, we could choose colors and logos easily, and have them stick to the one item without concern of the emblem resetting.
That would make it easy for a Vet to craft an "epic logo" item without letting non-vets get those logos thru actual SG emblems in SG Mode.

Ive known ive stated this before, but the biggest thing I want for a base is "trophy room items".

The best example is using the SG badge system where when you kill "X" amount of a factions boss, you get a static statue of that boss.

So if you defeat, say 10,000 or 100,000 Freak Tank Smashers as a SG, then you get a statue of a Freak Tank Smasher that you can place in your base. This could apply to each of the faction bosses, like, Zeus bots, Fake Nemis, Dark Ring MIstresses, etc.


On another note, the bases **NEED** some much over due love. There hasnt been alot of additions to them, and they need some great new items to help out this feature.

One thing my SG has always wanted was the ability to place, as a personal item, a version of you. Put it in a room, set it to do an emote, and it's just a little NPC version of whoever placed it, in the costume they were wearing when they placed it.

BUT, it's only there when that character isn't logged in.

You tell us! We have produced so many lists in recent times, a little hint of possible Dev effort and we will be there.

If that sounds a little snarky its because I have taken part in every collective effort this particular forum has initiated and managed a few myself. I would really hate to see another with no result at the end.
