hmm so it looks dim for long skirts. fair enough, im glad he answered. shame he didnt say anything about the oft asked wolf tails question, i was kind of hoping for something on that. and 4 sets for i10, rockin, i cant wait to see them. and im glad he kept his humorous tone, unlike the sticks in the mud, i expect cryptic guys to have some fun with their jobs, so long as they dont sacrifice clarity to do it. oh and did anyone notice that he mentions a cotume set that dosnet mimic the carnies, but emulates them? sweeet. charlie in a box is getting him a makeover come i10 maybe?

No wonder everyone was so deadthly silent yesterday. Issue 10 information is released, the test server closes off for beta, Jay's article goes to WarCry, and War Witch's follows it up.

With all of this, I almost wish that all the developers and community representatives would keep quiet. We'd have something great every day.

I kid: don't leave us. We like you guys

LoL, yeah, that was pretty funny. The best part was, I was the one that asked that question (Ubie2000). Thanks for answering everything Jay! The interview was awesome. I needs to get me one of these magic sea shells.

Man, this whole day has been an overload of information, hahaha.

Not that everyone else at Cryptic isn't cool, but Jay is my new hero.

The pain pads just took on a whole nother meaning...

Certainly puts the pain pads in a new light... ew.

Sorry to hear that about the long skirts. This has been one of the costume pieces I've wanted for a while, but I had a feeling that there were problems or we'd have already seen them.

Great interview. The Pain Pads story was funny. Sick but funny.

I'm glad to see there's some one else out there that gets tired of hearing people complain about dubs vs subbed anime .

So how many of those are invented from the RCS only recipes?

Ditto on long skirts. I even would have been happy with, and have suggested, long "loincloth" type skirts, ala Mystique and Alex Ross's version of Wonder Woman in Kingdom Come. It seems to me this would basically be a straight/thin version of the trenchcoat put both in back and front. I mean, trenchs clip pretty badly now, how much worse could they be if made thinner and placed in front as well.

And I also wonder, how would a long skirt be any different than a long robe? CoT have had long robes since day one, and they don't clip. I'm sure there is a good explanation -- I'm just making an observation.

A whole zone fighting Rikti sounds alot like the Rikti Crash site zone that no one uses right now. I sincerely hope this is not the bulk of what is happening with this exapnsion or we will have another Eden/Rikti crashsite/Crey's Folly/Boomtown/(other empty zones) ... we sure need more of those.

I think the "new" zone IS the Rikti crash site, just revamped like they did with Faultline.

His comments about the mystical sea shell that tells him what to do are gonna end up in tons of signatures, I can tell you that right now. Great to hear about the new costumes though.

[/ QUOTE ]me too, that was one thing that used to tick me off in the old diehard gamefan magazine, they were sub elitests. Luckily dvd generally solved that problem, as now we have both, made especially funny in the ghost story anime, where the sub is the actual script, but the dub is outright insane, offensive, and really really funny.

as jay mentioned, the NPC costumes were never designed to work on players. player parts have different considerations since each part moves independently of each other while NPCs costumes are animated together as a whole.

The CoT never run at supersonic speeds or sit down. Do any NPCs sit down?

Yeah, you can usually find Hellions, Skulls and Tsoo sitting. Tsoo are another one that have long robes too

I laughed my [censored] off at this comment:

As for deciding what goes into the game, I usually consult a magical sea shell I keep under my desk. The sea shell tells me to do good things, but sometimes it tells me to do bad, very bad. It takes about 15 beers before that sea shell starts to talk.

You know, just to throw this out there - I had a whole mess of crepes this morning. They're just like pancakes, maybe even better.

The first set of .hack games, in Japan, had a "comedy audio" track. We just got English and Japanese audio *sigh*.

Subs for the win! (Maybe it would be different if I had not seen the subs first, but if dubbed Bleach comes on TV, and it isn't changed, I leave the room.)

But do Tsoo in robes ever sit? I usually only see the pant-wearing Tsoo sitting.
