My second year in my current job, a co-worker (now my boss) invited me to a Halloween party at her home.
The next day, three people were in the hospital with MAJOR flu/Stomach ailments, 4 people called in sick.
Me?
Fine and dandy.
GenCon flu didn't hit me at all.
But I attribute it to the many years of replacing my blood content with Alcohol.
Sometimes, I impress my boss. Sometimes, I impress myself. The rest of the time, I scare people. I can live with that.

Those with good immune systems, make sure to feel blessed. I have something wrong with mine, so I always get sick, especially when around so many folks. Even with all the Purell, Wet Ones, etc.. and I don't want to go around wearing a surgical mask.
Meanwhile, I brought Jolly Jongleur's player home from Gencon (he's staying with us during his US visit) and he's healthy.

Of all the pics that were taken of me at Gencon, I think maybe only one or two of them were taken by people I actually knew. o.O Nothing's been sent to me yet in any case.
I have one hard copy of a photo taken in the exhibition hall (I forget the game, but the two angels insisted on it)... but no scanner. :P

It wasn't so much a costume, so much as lots and lots of pvc. :P Friday night was sort of costume night for me, go go gadget kimono!
I saw a bbc special once about the flu. It said that nearly half of all alleged cases of the flu were actually food poisoning. =/ My flu broke after 6 days. Today, day 7, is that lovely stage of what was lovingly referred to as "lung oysters" in my youth. A week of flu is highly uncommon for me, so I pronounce this strain as virulent. I read an article in NatGeo once about The Chemistry of Love, and it claimed that one of the primary attactors of people was our sense of smell. It said that, though we cannot consciously notice the smell, a very strong determiner of our attraction to others is that we can smell differences in immune systems. We are attracted to people who fill gaps in our own immune systems. So, Ex Libris and Janlee, be careful! Your flu immunity may make you very popular indeed! (i noticed the effect on ExLibris) Of course, I find any female that can solo on invincible irresistable.
I'd like to thank all the NC Soft people that were at the show, you all represented your products with professionalism and good nature. I think we'll pick up quite a few new people thanks to your presence there.

LadyAstoria, Princess of Dark Astoria, and her SG teamed up with Paragon super friends last night on virtue and we all got on teamspeak, and I must admit, her voice is very sexy, I'm not sure if it is because we are used to having mainly all guys on teamspeak and her voice is sexy compared to all the guys, Im going to bet that her voice is just sexy.

I'm starting to finally kick it (thanks to Mucinex), but I still have the Suzanne Pleshette voice thing going on. But yeah, Gencon is still worth it, even with the plague.

QFT-- course I drink a juice mix every morning, 2 lemons, 1 grapefruit, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper mixed in a blender with about 40 or 50 oz of water.
It is my sneaky way of getting my fruit intake because otherwise I won't eat it...
My liver is still in detox mode.
I only got flu-lite, though I could tell it was wanting to be full fledged. Might have to grab some Airborne next year...or try Ex's interesting elixir. O.o
@iammachine: I blame -perception from the flu for not seeing that you're on Pinnacle.
@LadyAstoria: if the flu made your voice sexier, it can't be all that bad of a thing.
