20 Down has a mispelling. It should read:

A rite of passage for Supers.

Sorry about that!

I have yet to see anyone be on the right track for 18 down...

Something earned. You're thrown off because you're 3rd letter is wrong. Rethink your spelling of 23 across (hint: too many vowels, not enough consonants).

EDIT: the other one that throws me off (besides 3 across) is 17 across: "Invented Inventions". A clue anyone? Not looking for the answer, just a pointer

For 3 across: Think popular type of puzzle.

Thanks to the hints, I think I got everything, but not sure if 11 down is right.

Well, I got most of the crossword stuff. It seems I'm not having trouble with the same ones as other people here. The clue of a zone name got me 18, but I still can't figure some out. The ones I don't have:

3 down - Crey's Regret

I guess I missed a storyline somewhere or something

9 across - Izzy, to her friends
_ _ _ _ _ _ I _
Not a clue

14 down - Why your teammates want you dead
_ _ N _ _ _ _ _ E
"Stupidity" and "Invincible pre-SOs" don't fit, so I have no idea

Edit 2: Thanks to a few vague hints I got in a PM, I've finished them off! Man, there were some obscure references in there. I loved it!

Very nice first issue for sure! I am impressed with both the unity of community and devs to get this out there and the content of the actual issue!

Alrighty, those were enough for me to get all the ones I didn't have. I actually did have the right 3rd letter for 20 down, I just typed the wrong letter in my post. I actually thought of that - but I was thinking in terms of things heroes "do", rather than the rewards they recieve for doing them.

I have no idea what connection those 2 particular red names have to those costume pieces, and the only server I play on is Victory. (I think I have heard that that server is considered the "roleplay server")

I get the "one L" thing though. I did infact pronounce it as though it had 2 Ls myself... and I still will. Screw you video narrator guy!


3 across - as someone else in this thread posted: another type of game commonly found in newspapers.

17 across: hmm. It's a redname, but of a somewhat different sort than the other red names that come up in the puzzle. If you're stumped read the sidebar on page one.

It's a slash command you use. I personally would have defined it "When you get stuck and need GM help."

There was an event (on Test I believe) before the veteran rewards were unlocked for the general populace where they appeared wearing those items. Also, Virtue is generally considered the roleplaying server.

I just got this one. Came to me in a "oh, that's right!" moment. (Which is like a Eureka moment, except that the feeling is more of chagrin than accomplishment.) I'm not sure that the answer really is Crey's regret, any more than any number of others.
