Torn (WIP sleepin' girls... wooOOOooo)
Glad to see someone else starting at wireframe, I was starting to feel like dusty old relic from the Joe Kubert age! Looks great so far.
That's gonna be awesome! I love your style man. Nice comp.

Looking good! I'll be looking foward to seeing updates on this one.
I particularly like the raised belly indication...
Miiiiiight be the sexiest Invincibelle drawing yet.
One word Mr. Graver: NICE.
I always thought Belle's greatest nightmare was being fully clothed.
Oh well, this works too.
Wonderful figures Graver! You always bring a unique perspective to your work.
Always love seeing the sketches... but hate waiting for the result.

That looks fabulous and I can't wait to see the finished product!
your = Belonging to you.
you're = Contraction meaning "You are."
Ur = The name of an ancient Mesopotamian city.
ur = This is not a word.
you're such a tease Graver!
I think I know what I'm asking for on my 40th birthday this year.
I want Graver art!
*sigh*

It's looking very good! Wonder who the bad guys are!
I won't spill who the big bads are, but it IS a nightmare. They just might be heroes! And they just might be folks we all know! Dun dun dunnnn! I suppose the cat will be out of the bag as the piece progresses, but for now my lips are sealed. The choices do make logical sense though.
Graver, man, you continue to amaze and inspire, even with your sketches. Six or seven may be extreme, but I sure as hell can't argue with the results! Juggs said it best, waiting to see the piece evolve is killer!

You know, one of my first thoughts were they were going to be heroes from the boards.
I think one is Dragonberry. I don't know why I get that feeling...

My first thought is that they're artist who've drawn Invincibelle in the past. After all, they always do seem to be tearing her clothes off. This is just her nightmare vision of what they do to her.

It's the way I was trained. I can't seem to do it any other way, especially if there;s any kind of forshortining going on. As one of my instructors once told me, your not drawing a two dimensional person, your representing a three dimensional person on a two dimensional plane. There are no edges, just contours... or something like that. Either way, without my cross contours, I'd be completely lost.
Oh, and that someone who had it just about right might just be getting a bit of a surprise for being so just about right*. Either way, as I didn't get around to putting the pencils up (weirdness in my head and all) I at least remembered to get the inked stage up. So, for your viewing pleasure, I give you
TORN: INKED
Now can you guess who those evil dirty nasty scoundrels who torment poor Invice so much are? huh? huh?
*legal notice, Graver did use the word "might" indicating that he is under no obligation to surprise anyone with anything
Ooooh YUMMY....
and yeah, I got an idea of who the tormentors are...
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."
This is beautiful! I had a duece of a time trying to think of something that would fit Graver's unique style and for the life of me came up empty all this time. Then I began my "Tribute" pieces and this idea popped into my head, literally at the 11th hour. We were bandying back and forth on ideas and Graver really liked this one when I proposed it. His enthusiasm for the idea really shines through in the amazing detail he has added. Thanks man, I can tell this will be something truly special.
This is pose #6 of seven (damn,m that just went a bit nuts there for a while) for a piece for Buckeyestar featuring... yup, Invincibelle and some very ebil ebil people.
The basic idea behind it is Invince is having a bit of a nightmare in which she is almost literally torn between several individuals. After a good bit of mix and matching posses to see which sleeping pose and which "OMG, help!" posses worked best, we finally settled on this one, though it does need some more work. The big fella's hand that is pulled back to punch her, for instance, needs a lot of help. I'm hunting up some better reference material for that, and with all due luck, I'm hopping to have the pencils done and out for this piece by the beginning of next week.
Yay nightmares!
Oh and i suppose a link would help, huh?
HERE it is then, sheesh!
