By all means, find me some more public examples of an admission that something is broken, which weren't then followed by a pledge to fix it.

Hey, I know this is gonna be a bit backward but I'm gonna ask it anyway. Is it possible for Heroes and Villains to team up on a Statesman Taskforce? My big reason for asking is character driven. My main toon has no love for Recluse and even less respect for him. He would rather side with Statesman in taking down Recluse then to do anything to help Recluse. So just a thought there.

Well, I'm glad they learned that the Lord Recluse Strike Force, has no use for Masterminds, Stalkers, and Dominators when everyone just wants Corrupters and Brutes.

So, they fixed it with the Statesman Task Force. All hero archtypes should be used to their full extent.

All I see in the predicable future is:

HO's are popular for heroes because they are easy to aquire.

IO's are popular for villains because their attempts at gaining HO's are flawed.

Signs point to "no."

All of my villains would do the same. "Kill Recluse? Where do I sign up?"

A pledge to fix it means nothing. There are plenty of broken things that they have pledged to fix and after they realize they won't be able to fix it, they just lie and say it was the original vision. So, what is your point?

Any day now we will be hearing that we misunderstood and the Arachnos Flier is working as intended. I just love the way we were told it is our imagination, the Lord Recluse Strike Force is not broken and that all ATs are needed to participate, not just Brutes and Corruptors. Now all of a sudden they say they learned their lesson with the LRSF and have made sure that all ATs are needed in the Statesmen Strikeforce. Why say that if the LRSF works as intended? More nonsense.

Is it just me, or is Statesman's star in the Statesman TF promo image on the launcher screen... unnaturally flesh toned?

Wrong. A pledge to fix something means that they can be held to account. Admitting that something is broken means you're taking responsibility for it. That's a lot more potentially damaging in terms of lost credibility than simply waving it off.

Please, give some examples of these 'lies'.

They have never stated they have given up on fixing things, though they have admitted they haven't fixed some bugs because they aren't able to for some reason. (can't reproduce, difficult to fix, etc.)

Still here, even after all this time!

Gee, just what we need. Another Task Force. A game element that takes way too long for way too little reward. Like most of the TF/SFs.

Total Focus is a hold, right?

I can't think of how Cryptic was held accountable at all for the broken base raids, IoP, CoP, base kick, some of these were advertised features that are still broken 17 months since people paid for it.

The only thing worse than devs making bad decisions is the hoard of fanboys and bootlickers that keep cheering them on.
