Something is wrong
I haven't noticed a change to my aggro drawing ability on my fire/fire tank. The mobs all hate me equally.
Just noticed the same thing with my Ice/Energy tank. Running chilling embrace, icicles and uses whirling hands, energy absorption, and throwing off single target attacks while in middle of a mob and still individuals would pull off of me and charge my blaster partner.

I saw a lot of this today too. Stuff just runs away from me now rather than standing around to fight. Not using Burn, just Blazing Aura with single-target and AoE attacks.

It's not the drawing them in, its losing them when they start getting low on health. I just tried the rikti crash site, once life starts getting low on mobs, Headman gunners starting porting away, bosses start running, its like I just layed down a burn patch. Are you using taunt at all? I don't have taunt, and I'm hitting them with everything I have, I should have very high gauntlet on them, but it doesn't matter, run, run, run.
i had this happen alot to me with my Dark/Dark scrapper with her death shroud on and when it was off ... targets are running alot mor often than usual .... as bad as it was in issue 1 and 2 before they fixed the fight or flight code. and its changed since this new patch.

I just made a post similar to this about my Invincibility.
It felt like my provoke was the only thing that actually attracted mobs.
Best bet is Gauntlet now has a fear effect added to it......
Course I'm a tad cynical these days

I noticed too much of it going on before I8 went live. It was especially bad with my rad and dark defender anchors. It may be even worse now.
I could be wrong here... but it sounds to me like the Gauntlet AV/GM changes is effecting everything now. My understanding of the Gauntlet change was that it only had those toHit rolls against AV/GMs. But it sounds like every time Gauntlet goes off it is trying to make the toHit roll, even against minions and LTs. How can we test this?
I noticed this today also while testing out the new Healing Flames (which totally rocks, btw). It didn't happen to me every time but when it did it was very noticeable. It was definitely some dort of fear, very much like the fear Burn causes. This was while running a police scanner mission in PI.

It's gotta be something with Gauntlet and or the built-in punch-voke. When something starts running, I can get them to turn right around with Taunt.

except its not the gauntlet messed up because this is happening with my dark/dark scrapper wich has zero taunts at all ... minions die to fast to run but bosses and such that take longer they seem to run when they are at 50% of thier total life. or when i have death shroud on they ran sooner.
and for god sakes .. they have been running all day away from my trick arrow/archery gimpfender! they screwed up aggro all together
I bet the devs did this to stop Herding to PL.
They have are starting to ruin the game.

Noticed this today with my BS/regen scrapper.....had to chase a lvl 35 boss(i was lvl 32) across half of Brickstown to "arrest" him. +3 bosses should not be running from me, especially at the start of a fight. Mostly noticed this with the bosses....pretty much gave up on being able to fight most bosses

To kind of add insult to injury the illusion controller's Phantom Army held agro really well. Also there doesn't really seem to be a problem on my fire brute, he holds agro really well, almost too well.
Rumor has it, this was another screw up by the devs. However, it's not what you all were thinking
Appearently, they ment to impliment the fear on players so they could get used to the effect for PvP. When a Boss or bigger gets to 40% HP, it was intended to have them produce a fear aura causing PCs to run, or cower. Again, I was told, this was to get people used to this effect, so they'd be more comfortable in PvP, where fear rules the day. Don't worry, a fix is in the wings, soon(tm) your PCs will be running in fear of those bosses/EBs/GMs/AVs.

I just spent an hour on live trying to reproduce these effects. With Icicles and CE running, the only mobs that would consistently try to run at low health were Behemoth Lieuts. I've always noticed that they've tried to back off and use ranged attacks though. However, as soon as Icicles hit again, they stopped trying to run, and stayed in melee.
No other group tried to run with any consistency. One Ritki tried to run, but that's one out of about 40 that I fought.
Just my results.

I hopped on my level 8 ice tank and his taunt aura seemed to work fine.
I don't know if that means anything but I'm almost positive I had a problem with invincibility earlier.

Nope- I'm betting on new AI.
And to be honest, I like it. But I like it on another MMO I play. Where every class has the ability to KD/slow/disable/hinder movement of some sort. Not so sure it will work here. But this is only speculation.

well while ive noticed boss runners with my dark/dark scrapper and my trick/archery defender.
my mind/psi dominator and my Robot/traps MM didnt have ANY bosses run .... so i hopped on my dark/dark scrapper for a bit .... again bosses running before they have taken much damage. and i dont even have cloak of fear yet. now this was in in boomtown so ive not been able to test it in places like creys folly or anything. so honestly i dont know how to reproduce the effect for any other charicters ... only thing else i can try is try making a dark/dark brute to comparable level and see if i see the same effects there... yet so far none of the COV bosses are running from my cov charicters .. it seems to be only on my COH charicters that im getting running bosses. <shrugs>
Ran about 30 radio missions in PI today and this was happening to LTs and Bosses. didnt really see it with mins at all. The Named bosses were the worst offenders.
I've found that once a certain portion of a mob is down a NPC runs. This also happens if the overall HP of a mob is low.
I'm betting they changed the AI and didn't tell us. Probably so that we wouldn't affect their experiment. Essentially is a double blind experiment, since we dont know, and they gather their data through datamining.
IF this is the case? Meh who cares, its annoying sure but i've been saved several times because an NPC ran instead of attacking me when I was close to death.
Playing around on my Fire/Fire tank and it seems like I lose aggro and everything wants to run when they get down to less than half health. If anyone tested the winter event and witnessed Snaptooth just taking off and having to fight him on the run after he got low on health, its the same exact thing, except on every mob. I don't see it on minions too much since they drop pretty fast, but LT's and Bosses are like instilled with fear and take off. If I wanted to make them leave, I'd put down a burn patch. Anyone else notice this yet? I've not tried my stoner yet, but will. I think something got broke with the Gauntlet fixes.
