Contest for a Guest Spot! Details inside.

Hey everyone, thanks for coming by to check this thread out. I guess you can consider this a "casting call." I've been cutting back on art collecting because I'm actually gearing up to have several Bayani scripts illustrated over the next two years rather than continue going along with the usual pin-up stuff. This won't be published officially, but may appear on my website when complete. Winners will receive a digital copy of the final product of course.

Anyhow, I just finished the first draft of the third script I wrote but didn't want to create a throw-away character for one of the parts. Instead, I decided to give a chance to the forum goers to have their character or a friend's character illustrated in the story.

The part calls for a younger hero with telekinetic powers and a bit of a haughty attitude. I posted one of the pages from the script as a sample. The young hero will be appearing on three pages.

There's also a spot for a one panel appearance by another hero which I'll select from volunteers. There's plenty of time, as I won't get this started for another few months.

-Panel 1-

Overhead shot of a short building (about 3-4 stories tall) in construction. There are some construction workers and heroes around helping build it. Bayani is on the front lawn, digging some holes for planting. There are
some trees and shrubs nearby for planting as well as top soil and a few ditches.


-Panel 2-

Closer shot of Bayani digging. He‚s got a yellow headband on but no
shades. Instead, his attire is casual, wearing a red t-shirt and a pair of jeans.

Bayani: *musical notes, whistling*


-Panel 3-

Bayani stands up straighter and takes a drink from a water bottle. There's a younger hero, in a yoga position, floating in the air, looking sullen and bored.


Bayani: Are you just going to float there all day or are you actually going
to lend a hand?

Young Hero: We should be out on the streets foiling crimes and catching bad
dudes! This is a waste of time...


-Panel 4-

Close-Up of Bayani (shoulders up). His lips are curled up in a slight smile as he finishes taking a sip of water. His eyes are closed, as if recalling a memory.

(Just change the chest symbol and chest design, and maybe the colors. Zapros is in my sig. )

...always welcome to use a younger version of whiteperegrine. seems the young hero is in their mid to late teens and WP is a bit older than that.

powerwise: WP is just about spot on being his powers are telekintic in nature.

attitudewise:very much about taking out the bad guys although with age he has tempered quite a bit...although would work well for his younger years.

just a thought. ~

I would be honored if you chose Yesmina Glint. She is a Empathy/Psy Defender, and I can post screenshots after I redo her for i8. And yes, she's got attitude.

I should note though...he doesn't have telekinetic powers, or anything...he's also "older"...around his early 30s. I figure he'd be better suited as a background character...like an extra, or maybe helping Bayani with the work.

I always love your scripts Bayani! I'd like to submit Mezmorize, though he has the same problem as WP with the age thing. He's in his 20's but I think you mean a teenager. I could always go back and try to make a younger version of him though.

And for the quick cameo, Rox is always up for a cameo!!

I WOULD volunteer Kadmon for this, but he's somewhere between two and five thousand years old, so he doesn't quite meet the criteria

Hey that sounds cool, CB for a guest spot only as he's a bit older than you want, although not as old as Kadmon

I'll put Cell into this. Gonna be using my vetspec to give him Psychic mastery. He's got plenty on the quirky/attititude part. He's 18, so he's not a "kid" kid, but he definitely acts like it.

Any story with Grae Knight in it is an instant classic. Feel free to use him

Well, as long as they aren't age-limited, Kadmon (pictures in the sig) and Masked Shrike (also pictures on the sig) are alway open for these things Just send a PM if you need more pertinent information.

Bayani if you're still taking submissions for possible sidekicks and don't mind a female, I'd like to introduce:

Vitruvia

Her bio is included in her pics, but shes a 17-18 year old with psychic abilities. She is able to influence other's thoughts, make them see what isn't really there (illusion/) and drain them mentally and physically (/kinetics). And she's itching to hurt some Crey in revenge for the technological 'additions' they gave her to enhance her powers and for their part in the death of one close to her. And doesn't mind taking out some other bad guys along the way.

Whatever happened with this?
