does it resist confuse/fear?

[/ QUOTE ]

Nope. Good point hehe
Doesn't resist Repel either.

All I have to say is that now, this set is really complete imho. AND, I don't think it's over-powered either because it is the only resistance based set without a self heal.

People will not have to take the leaping pool.

All I have to say to you devs is GREAT JOB. I for one really appreciate that you listened to what we had to say and took it into consideration.

I was completely resigned to having to take the leaping pool as I always do, but I wasn't thrilled about having to take acrobatics too. This frees open another power and lets my build get that much closer to what I want.

In comparison to sets like dark armor, invulnerability, energy aura, or stone armor it has some great stuff in it and adds another set with it's own flavor while not being clearly superior to others or less than them.

Thank you.

Beautiful, thanks Castle. So, now this set is the "Has protection against anything and everything, but can't heal you" set. Hey, I'm okay with that. It's a hell of alot better than the "doesn't do anything really remarkable" resistance set.

doesnt resist toxic though

btw, anyone got final res numbers for this set? (to compare with the other resist sets, which all have a self heal)

This is great news, as it gives complete freedom of travel power. However, it doesn't literally change the power requirements of the set, unless you were already committed to having grounded anyway. I certainly had no intention of doing so. Still leaves you requiring the same power slot acro would have taken up, although it's not a toggle, which is great for end, and always on, which means you can still use superjump at the same time if you like. So, a definite improvement, but didn't literally put it on par with other sets, in terms of achieving res + heal + status. Still takes 3 powers outside of your standard shields.

It's a good bone to throw, but it's still just a bone. I'd still rather they dropped either the resist numbers and/or some of the exotic resists for either A) kb and immob in one of the 3 shields (kb being the important one, cj doesn't literally cost a power slot) or B) a self heal. Would that homogenize the set? In some ways, yeah.

IMo the set is very very close to being on par with the other sets, the added damage and overall utility from lightning reflexes is what does it. Still, unless you're DM/, it takes more power slots for /Elec to get the same mitigation that other sets get (granted, if you spend those power slots, you are better than most). I guess the bottom line is, /Elec can actually be the toughest set outside of granite, but just like granite you have to give up offense to do it, in this case it's not a straight damage reduction, but losing what would most likely be an attack power for you entire career. I guess in the 40s it would be okay, since the PPPs kind of blow.

What do you mean final numbers? level 38 power or just regular shields? If regular shields I have posted them a few times in this thread.

this is gonna need lots of testing. how is a passive resistance, low mag power gonna behave?

Yeah I can't really agree there. Acro is an end-cost toggle that can be knocked off. Grounded is free and doesn't require two other pool powers. Acro doesn't give the resist that Grounded gives either, so I don't really get it. I personally don't think any of the sets actually needs Tough but that's just me.

I swear some people will never be happy.

The set has what it needs now. Giving it a self heal at this point is over powering and not required. Now that it has KB and Immob in a passive no less.

I would not trade in the resistance numbers or lose any of it's unique attributes for a self heal. Forget that.

You could take 17 total powers from your primary and secondary(missing onyl 1 power), take the fitness pool and a travel power and fit in aid self. You now have a complete brute.

If anyone brings up not having room for PPP's, well not everyone else will have room in their builds for the power or all of them and as most know, their is usually a power or 2 you can skip in your primary freeing up yet another slot for another power.

I honestly just can't see ANY reason to complain about the set anymore. It's golden in my book.

This is the happiest news I have had out of the devs since Electric Melee/Armor was confirmed.

And with these two quotes, I am back on board for my Electric/Electric Brute on Issue 7 Launch Day!!!

Yep, my Electric Bugaloo shall live and prosper! AND be able to afford to get Air Superioirity and Flight instead of being stuck with leaping, if I want. Excellent!

Well, I don't know if it will be "uber", but its certainly going to be an interesting new twist.

In PvP, it won't actually make any differance. If your mez protection is off, your going to be worrying about holds, not knockdowns.

I dunno. I can have a guy on his back quite a long time with Levitate spam. I have it slotted for one recharge so it's perma. If you were to fight me without KB protection, I would win. >.>

ok 1st dont wont to sound like i think elec armor need to be nurfed before it even comes...
am abit confused how ever
Charged Armor - Res to Smahing Lethal & Eng
Conductive Shield - Res to Fire, Cold, Eng, and N.Eng
Static Shield - Res to Sleep, Hold, Stun, End Drain, recovry debuffs, Teleport, and PSI
Grounded - Res to Imm, Knockback, Eng, And N.Eng
lighting reflexes - spd+ recharge+, and Res to Slow

now your saying whats your point? well unless there Resist number are really low witch they dont sound if the baces are really 26.25% witch will enh out to about 41% to everything but n.neg with would total out at 30% make them have 9%ish less S/L then invuln (full sloted autos and toggles) and 22% more to every thing else and 42% more psi (invuln also)
guess my point is that it looks like elec armor is master res to all

i could be totaly off on this but dont seam right there is no holes in it like other sets have

I don't see Repel or Confuse resist in there. IIRC Invuln has both of those as well.

I am glad that the developers have listened to the community in this matter. It makes me happy because now I have reason to consider making an ES brute when I7 goes live. Truly these holes in ELS were worthy of being addressed. Now if we could get some ELM tweaking we'd really be in buisiness.
