Having played "Kick the Forklift" in a door mission thanks to a gravity controller... I have to endorse this idea. Nice work.
It is with great pride and diligence that I continue to support the Big Red Ball movement.
The other day I was kicking arround a computer monitor in a cave and I thought of you.
The Computer monitor was ok but not the same as a big red ball. It was fun untill I kicked it through a wall and it dissapeared. My soul was not refreshed.

What if TBRB was the size of Atlas' ball?! *imagines scenes from Godzilla, the people of Paragon City running down the streets screaming as a big red ball rolls quickly behind them* Maybe we could get rid of the pesky terrified citizens on the steps in Atlas this way. The ball just randomly falls from Atlas's hands, crushing them...

I just caught wind of this idea. And I love it. My suggestion would be to make a command out of it... /ball would summon the ball, and if it lays untouched for, say, 2 minutes, it despawns.
And of course if you force the ball into a mob of unsuspecting NPC enemies they'd take offense and attack you for disturbing them.

I think that it is the context in which you are kicking said forklift. From what I understand and have read from Dev comments the collision system is computed client side. Meaning that when you kick said forklift or whatever the other players are seeing your computer will calculate it's travel path and ending position differenetly than your friend's. So when your friend goes to kick the forklift/item/BRB that they see it may in fact be five feet to the left of where you are actually seeing it. This would be problematic in that people would eventually be seeing thier BRB in completely different spots than other character, by whole zone distances then.
But that is just my understanding of it.
A possible solution and by all means Dev's correct me if I'm wrong; but why don't they just take a spherical object and dress it onto a small shaped, i.e. Natterling sized bone model. Then give it no attacks, an agro level and movement ability the same as the infamous wall-leaning Hellion, and GM health levels, but not resistence or defense (allowing the ball to eventually pop). Then, and here's the hardest part that I'm not sure exactly how it would be done, but give the new villian labeled BRB a line of code in behaviors that tells it to treat all attacks with knockback equal to the brawl index of a given attack unless that attack was a hard hold or immobilize. ID the BRB, give it a spawn point, and play away.
See it's my (probibly flawed logic) that the game does not use the same collision code with summoned items as it does with ragdoll, since ragdolled villians MUST always appear in the same location to all players.
And maybe this has already been suggested since I failed to read the entirety of so many pages. If so I appologize. But a BRB would real add cohesion to the down time in Paragon...
pretty sure Castle said that ragdoll wouldn't act like a ball... there would be no real bounce to it.
but... there is something that could be done... but, there is no rush for them to empliment something so awesome for CoX yet.
Write in vote Big Red Ball in November!!! tell the devs through your write in votes for whatever election that you want a friggen big red ball more than some over paid politician that just wants to push their own party's ajenda.

The idea is brilliant. I only have a couple of suggestions:
<ul type="square">[*]Put it somewhere low and non-hazard, so lowbies can get at it. [*]Possibly make it get knocked back depending on how much damage the player's attack does, causing stuff like an Aim + BU + Nova to send it flying. The ball could be a Giant Monster, so everyone does about equal knockback to it despite level.[*]Let it get knocked back if players run/fly/jump into it at high speeds. Alternatively, if able, have it knock back players/mobs if it smacks into THEM at high speeds.[/list]
