K heres my fury fix, give every brute and inherent Entangling Arrow with an immobilize of mag16 (wait a sec that's not even possible... or is it..... hhm) so they can never run from you, ever. Then you can stand there and wack away at them building all the fury you need. It's a shame my random and completely imbalanced suggestion will not be taken to heart, because I think entangling arrow is the bomb. Oh well, I don't have a serious solution. I think it would be dangerous to increase Fury's buildup rate in PvP zones because that would give a lot of Brutes insentive to go get 10 or so hits on some weak mobs to build up fury, then jump out onto an unsupecting hero with a max fury Seismic Smash. I will agree that Fury doesn't seem to be helping enough (or at all) in PvP fights as it is now.

You did say something about Stalkers being the premiere PvP class. Well unless you are using a Spine/Regen Stalker, I can fairly confidently say that there is no way you will ever defeat my Ninja/TA MasterMind in an Arena. I know this because I've beaten Stalkers there, I've beaten Rad/Dark Defenders, I've beaten Kin/Psy offenders, I've beaten an Illu/Storm Controller, but I've gotten my [censored] handed to me on a silver platter by a Spine/Regen Scrapper. I think a Stalker with those sets won't be as hard as the Scrapper, but they are still the perfect combo of abilities to make a MM cry. I still need to say that Stalkers are no longer the premier PvP class they are made out to be. Even if a Stalker uses additional stealth powers to get past my Tactics, what is he gonna do, AS me and have 75% of that damage be dispersed among my pets? I realise you're a PvE build but saying that about Stalkers being so good at PvP, you must have never fought a good MM. Also just to make sure noone thinks I'm bragging, I lost badly to another MM, a Necro/Dark. The healing he unleashed was even enough to combat my Oil Slick damage, but it was a cool fight nonetheless.

You better pick an epic that has fire or energy damage to light your oil slick. On my MasterMind Oil Slick Arrow packs enough punch to kill even level minions by itself, thats insane.

Then show your support with the Big Red Ball Avatar...

I have a mastermind with trick arrow..... and he has ninja primary. Smoke Flash the Oni, order him to a spot where his cone range will hit a great deal of the mobs and simulataneously switch all pets to agressive and goto that spot while in the animation of firing the Oil Slick. My Oni's opening fire breath attack with critical all the mobs, and light the Oil Slick, leaving me time to fire my Acid Arrow. Once the Oni uses Rain of Fire the damage ticking becomes too incredible to waste time watching, and I just hover to the next mob. I also use my other arrows, and my holds and some actual strategy... when Oil Slick isn't recharged. The fact that I run Assault/Tactics only makes the chaos that much more awesome. People who harp on TA have never played a high lv TA character. My MM is only lv38 now (just got EMP, it isnt slotted, havent formulated an opinion yet) but TA is the most brutal set I've ever seen. I actually feel sorry for Zombie/Dark and Robot/FF MM's out there who think they are great but who undoubtely solo at a much slower rate than me. This guide is very nice btw, it's nice to see someone else embracing TA. Let all others be damned...

I have a Ninja/Trick Arrow MM (lv36 as of now) and while it isn't as bad in CoV as it is in CoH, many people are shocked when I cannot heal them. Trick Arrow is a great set, I love it, especially Glue Arrow and Poison Gas Arrow, which are great defensive debuffs that help keep your minions (or teammates) from getting wailed on. And of course Oil Slick is great but thats off the topic of Buff/Debuff vs Heals. I think a good team has something like a Force Fielder or a Storm Summoner for the buff/debuff aspect, but a great team has someone with a solid heal in addition to the former. The problem is that people misunderstand and assume Green Numbers > Intelligent Teamwork. "Agro is the Tank's responsibility, if I get attacked it's his fault" from the Fire Blaster who AoEs the mobs b4 the Tank has herded them. "I am dying too much, we need more people to heal me" from the lv8 regen Scrapper running ahead of his team in a doomed FrostFire mission. The "Healer" mindset, the names, the idiots asking for them, this is too engraved in the game to ever go away... no matter how many people we educate. All we can do is strive for a world in which there are enough people willing to logically explain what the team is lacking, to the <Insert moron saying we need more X here> how to make the shattered mission succeed, to help reduce the number of H34L0rz. It's not an isolated problem, similar incidents exist elsewhere in this game and many other games. They are a conflict of ideas, with intelligent people who know (or think they know) what is going on, and stubborn or stupid people who believe they are right untill you prove them wrong. But if we all agreed on everything... I don't think I'd have as much fun.

this may have already been posted...
I love the ponytail hair style that has a bang in the face and hangs down. That is, not the high ponytail, but the much cuter one. Sadly that hairstyle clips into any cape you could chose, and because of that any costume in which I use that very cool hanging ponytail, has to be cape-less. I'm not sure if there's a way to fix that or not without screwing up the hairstyle. Maybe add a ponytail 3 option, that keeps the cute bangs of the low ponytail, but sticks up like the high ponytail. -
Wanna know what I think?-TOO BAD I'll tell you anyways. I like to see numbers, but on my lv34 Emp/Dark (who doesn't attack except for tentacles and usually doesn't have any end crashes) I put my EndReduxes into my Leadership toggles, not my main heals. Absorb Pain, Heal Other, and Healing Aura all have 3 Heal SO's, and they did all have 3 recharge SO's (though I removed 1 from Absorb Pain when I respeced, because I didn't use it that regularly). If I were to drop a RechRed for an EndRed, that might save me some endurance but it might also slow my heal rate enough to kill my teammate. So all my Leadership toggles are 2 slotted with EndRed, but reading this is important if I didn't have stamina, RA, and would be picking up Conserve Power. I prefer to use buffs to let me save my slots for more important things. Arguably enough though, if my end management was bad enough, everyone on my team would die because of it.

SG Name: Speshul Forces
Motto: We may not be the best, but we're here.
Notes: This is a team of Defenders, all with military-oriented names (though the name is not a requirement for joining). If you like to team as a Defender with other Defenders, thikn about joining Speshul Forces!

(check out the thread specific to our sg, or check out www.specialforcessg.com)
No jokes, special forces FTW. I'm the designated bubbler/knockback [censored] on my FF/NRG, Sergeant Bubbles. We easily did Synapse's TF with just 4 SG members (and a tagalong controller but he was just in it for the badge/xp). In a game of increasingly solo-holic players, an SG of Defenders really makes you happy. Here you can think "wow these guys all hate having to find teams and dealing with idiots just as much as I do" and there's nothing like playing a Defender to make you hate people. It is a breath of fresh air when our SG teams up, because of the sheer amount of buffing/debuffing we run, we don't need any debt-happy Blasters. I have been, and always will be, a Defender player at heart. It's a hard job to deal with "We need more Healx0rage" but someone's gotta do it...
(And noone else from Special Forces add another post to this thread... again, because our prescence is known) -

A bit off topic but, holy crap Deus_Furore is your avatar from equilibrium, that movie is teh awesome!!1!!!11!
Seriously though, one of my first characters was a fire/mace tank... of course both sets I picked were sub-par... go me! That character doesnt exist any more. I don't like stone, because of some of its annoying drawbacks, like needing to use teleport to move at all during fights b/c of rooted. I'm also not a big fan of ice just because of the way it looks, and that leaves firey and invulnerability. Well firey is weaker than the rest, so I'll just be another invulnerable tank, a dime a dozen. Don't just fix Firey Aura, but give us Energy or Electric or Dark or some other primary...plz.
IMO Plant Armor (yah thats really off topic) -
Maximize tornado, [step 2 missing] , step 3: profit. Brilliant, god bless you, an allusion to a south park episode, the underpants gnomes will get you for sure. Theres a lot of diverse humor in your guide, I don't get every single little joke, but I get that one. May the eternal might of Molar, Eternian Dentist, smile on you forever. I'd tell you how great your guide is, but that would just waste words telling you what you already knew-wait damnit I'm wasting words right now... ack stop me!

To start out with, you definitely want to get two attacks. When you get your first respec in, i would suggest in removing the filler attack. You dont want to get Spin as a temp filler attack, just doesnt do enough damage and uses up too much endurance for what its worth. The damage ouput is the same as Strike. Follow-Up is a great attack power to start with an attack - it offers a great ACC bonus and good damage bonus for any attacks for a shortbit (later discussed). You'll find its invaluable in being able to consistently hit harder enemies and bosses early on. Things will start to really shine for you early once you get Reconstruction and Dull Pain established. Everything just becomes more gravy as you get your Secondary powers in. Establishing your two lethal/smash resist powers will make you a very sturdy and depended-upon fighter in groups.

I agree with almost everything you said, except skipping your PbAoE attack. Although the animation is realtively long, and the cost is high, you already explained the massive dmg output you can achieve with hasten + follow up (and eviscerate's animation is pretty long too IMO). Using spin then (properly slotted of course) would be your bread and butter for the huge mobs when you team. You work good not to scatter the enemies, but if you would pull a mob with focus, then run around a corner and let em clump up, get a nice Follow Up on them, and unload spin/eviscerate... happy results/dead mobs. Oh and you talked about spin's high end cost, I'd be amazed if a regen scrapper wouldn't have any end left from using his PbAoE attack...
