so i was working last week. i'm a server at Red Robin in san jose. i walk out from the back and at a table is a man wearing a shirt with the round CoH symbol on it. i walk up to the table and tell the man how much i love the game and ask him if he plays. he replies to me that he actually works on the game. i geek out for a while and we talk about how i17 just went into open beta and how i can't wait for demon summoning. i shake his hand and went back to take care of my tables.

wasn't until hours later that i realized i forgot to ask for his name. D'oh!

I also have a lvl 50 nin/poi on virtue named Tonbo-giri

the genin and jounin are named after famous ninjas and the oni is named after the japanese god of war and warriors.

my ninja/poison is lvl 46 and will soon be my first lvl 50 villain. soloing EB's is cake.

My first scrapper ever is a MA/SR. he's actually just 48 but very close to 49 so very soon he'll be my first 50 ever.

I love MA to death. as soon as i got eagle's claw at 32 i 6 slotted it as quickly as possible and never looked back. eagle's claw is probably the fastest recharging lvl 32 power in the game. not only does it deal massive damage but has a decent chance to stun as well.

the MA is a single target damage dealing set so be ready for that. the only AoE attack it has is Dragon's Tail and the range is pretty short since it's just a trip in a circle all around you but it has a really high chance to knockdown which helped me tremendously against large mobs.

also:

at 38 noxious gas is a real EB killer. been a while since i played but i think it'll do very well on AVs as well. unfortunately the oni tends to be more of a ranged attacker and only occasionally gets in close to attack. noxious gas is more powerful on your tier 3 but jounins are more likely to get in close at a quicker pace. unless you really get a handle on controlling your pets noxious gas is better on a jounin.

well i have never gotten a character to 50 yet but i do have a 46 nin/poi MM so here goes.

nin/poi is great at taking down single targets quickly. so many debuffs from your poi set. but at 27 Neuro breath is the only aoe power you really have. so my build went with the leadership PP. with assault and tactics i would try to take down larger groups more quickly with stronger attacks and less misses.

also if you slot your smoke bomb with enough -rech you can either get it perma or almost perma i forget. i would cast smoke bomb on my oni as often as possible. once you hit 32 and get your 2nd upgrade oni with smoke bomb will kill like crazy. smoke bomb oni casting fire breath for instant crit on a mob. beautiful.

ninjas can be very buggy sometimes and need constant babysitting. so you gotta have good macros or binds to reign them in sometimes.

i remember a few years back i was on a team of around 6 or so with 4 scrappers. the other 2 d/c i think and so it was just us 4 scrappers. we were doing the Frost Fire mish in hollows and we were just outside FF's room. we all turn to each other and said "F*** it let's go!" no one died and we had a grand old time smashing some faces in.

i've experienced the exact same thing over the last few years. same thing on like 3 or 4 different keyboards, including my current dell laptop. i can jump with space bar, forward with arrow key, and right with right arrow key but not left. yet i can easily go forward with arrow and jump with space while going left and right easy with "q" and "e" respectively.

before i used the q and e keys to turn while jumping i used to do what cinder spawn said

this happened to my Nin/Poi MM. i just cast my single target heal on each of them and they come back under my control no problem

when my MM was lvl 37 and i got a free respec i chose the powers i wanted and stuff and placed the slots and stuff but the enhancements i had that i got to redistribute into the powers i actually just sold them all instead and right after i bought all lvl 40 SOs for my powers. but w/ 14 mil inf u prolly don't need the little extra inf u get this way. i think i got close to 2 mil this way. it was enough to get all lvl 40 SOs.

i thought this was because of the whole < symbol causing problems for players cuz others found a way to code a program into that character and forced crashed some people's computers or something like that i forget really. whatever it was the devs disabled pet commands or something in order to stop those people from doing bad stuff to other players computers.

whooo! i too have returned. haven't played in over a year. i've been playing for so long and have still yet to have a lvl 50. but u know what, that's my goal before the year's out. a lvl 50 hero and/or villain. my highest hero and villain are both 36 so here's hoping
