I can stop Hurricain from messing up FC

If he was, infact, getting kills. I would have nothing to say as his points would be completely valid and irrefutable.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm well its kinda hard to kill a person when your being attacked by 10 other villians just becuase you go after someone who happens to be on the fc building.
[/ QUOTE ]
So your solution is to try and give people debt? are you kidding me? I give up.
I see you changed your form name to Machete
[ QUOTE ]
It your own fault, you have branded yourself as someone who like to ruin peoples good times, so the villians attack you.
[/ QUOTE ]
well, how else is he going to be able to single out ONE villain out of many for his bounty?
this is funny stuff. keep going please.

Yeah, curiously, I'm better known around the Forums and in game as Machete than my very first toon, Death Scream....he, he, he. And I tried to hard to be a popular guy with my Heroe but my Villian won. I guess Bad Guys, like Blondes, are more fun

That sounds like a fantastic idea, really. Cath, next time I see you in SC, I'll ask you for a match and switch to my Dominator. Just a friendly little competition to get you involved, if you're interested.
Of course, no one will fight me though, (well maybe 1 or 2 out of 20 villians)

Why doesn't someone invite him to Fight Club and let's be done with this for Heaven's sake.
Maybe he wants to PvP you guys. Instead of mass ganking him, invite him in. If his actions persist as in the past, well, his destiny is in his hands.

Dinah, you didnt call him out, but others did. Hence the OP, and the other thread. My post wasnt directed toward you personally, just the topic in general.
As far as what you and MB said about it being a hassle, we can agree to disagree, but i think your thoughts on it being a hassle boils down to and unwillingness to compromise with people who dont wish to play by made up rules in a PvP zone. Taking the tram to an arena takes 2-5 mins...come on, most people bio break longer than that.
Btw, my scrapper would love to do FC in this regard..but he often cannot because he only has superspeed, and i cant get up the building without TP.
Thats the jist of what im saying. People can whine and cry all they want about these type of players, but they arent trying to do anything about it, other than cry, and petition
TO be honest, I had a new freind who was new to pvp come with me the day we had the big siren's event. It was a blast. Later on he joined me while I was already in SC. FC was going on and he didn't understand it. he saw heroes and villians and he went to town on the villians. Every one yelled at him and called him a newb and ganker. When I tried to explain that he was new my own freind said over the broadcast that I was a liar. He since then has quit pvping and I hardly ever even see him on Coh any more. We in honesty have to be fair and work FC and SC in the way it was meant to be. Maybe we all come up with a day or days that are strictly Fc and other days are 1v1 at your own risk. I just want peace between all of us on Champion. Cath is a good guy and are most of you,( stalkers not included), and I think that we can have a peace-able solution. So instead of us attacking him, let's come up with ways to either make it fun for us all or ways to get around his griefing.

Not trying to be a smart [censored], but we WILL have to agree to disagree. FC matches take seconds to set up and there is usually one that follows right after. Arena takes 3 minutes to get to and set up and there is never a match to folow.
Perhaps I don't run in hte same PvP circles as you.
I WISH I was wrong. And if you were right that would be awesome.
Here's where i was going with the arena idea dinah.
If you set up a Free for all and set it to 20 kills...the arena match will not end untill one person gets 20 kills.
If you have 20 people in the event for arguements sake...you can rotate the battles any which way, and thats a LOT of PvP battles to be had. This would work as long as nobody is killing each other on the side of course.
20 FC battles is a lot for one person, even in SC. yes, it will take more time to set up Dinah, but the reward of some solid PvP with individuals who are their in the spirit of FC would be worth it imho.
Heck, maybe i can set something up next week on Monday or Tuesday, and try to get you all to give it a shot. If everyone likes it, maybe it will catch on. If it fails, then at least it was given a chance.
Just had a very good fight with Cath in FC. He stuck by the rules and won an interesting fight that consisted of the two of us just standing there for 30 seconds staring at each other while held at the beginning of the match. I broke free first (I used Power Boost to lengthen my hold) but didnt' have the damage to take him down before he broke out and got his PA on me.
Thanks for the match, Cath. Looking forward to doing it again sometime.
I frequent a station at the Arena on a daily basis.
There is never a match being offered.
If there was anyway to help get PvP in the arena, I'll help.
Heres to hoping Arena wednesdays catch on.
/em toast

Your a better person than me. Being in the same zone as him makes me want to take a shower.
All I've gotten out of this thread is that nothing will be resolved. I agree with points from both sides. Some players will do things that irritate 90% of the rest, and that will never change. So I guess my approach will be to announce via broadcast that in my opinion, spectators are fair game for a smackdown, and deal with the fallout if necessary. Last night when I arrived, I asked in broadcast what everyone already there thought about it being open season on spectators, and didn't get a single response. That sounds like agreement to me!
Lets all go sky diving?????
I think maybe we should take him at his word that he just didn't like FC because no one would fight him. Give the guy a chance and challenge him when you see him. He seemed to enjoy the fight as much as I did.
One thing you have to remember though Cath is that meleers aren't going to want to fight you. There's literally nothing most of them can do against you when you have hurricane up, so there's not really any point in a match that consists of just standing there dying. I think you'll find Corruptors, Masterminds, and Dominators more than happy to give you a match if you ask, though.
All I got out of this thread is the desire to shower.
I have to say I'm sorry that the people involved in this took NOTHING away from the fact the thread was deleted yesterday...
You have people chiming in about this just because they "can"...with no real investment in the situation...You have blackballed someone because you don't like they way they play...
This person pissed of the wrong people...plain and simple...The whole thing wreaks of cliques and hypocrasy...
You have it right from CJ's own PM....or perhaps some posters think they know better than CJ?
As I said yestersay when "Community" starts to equal mob mentality we have taken a seriously wrong turn...
I don't know this person at all....Maybe I would think hes a jerk, although Hes done nothing on the Forums so far that I find as reprehensible as the so called "good guys"...
He's not being Heroic enough for you??.. and adhereing to how you and your friends think a zone should be?....
There are "behaviors" in the game that I find unheroic and disturbing...While I may post frustrations and thoughts on the subject...I generally try to keep it from becoming a manhunt and keep it along the lines of what postive steps can we make???....
What positive steps have you taken to resolve this?
Maybe hes earned a poor reputation amongst a few people....who of us hasn't? I'm not defending his actions in the zone or his attitude..I don't know him...but THIS is wrong any way you slice it..
While people are screaming "petition him" like "Off with his head"....I wonder why Tribal Axe is the only one to have investigated objectively??...or maybe others have and just didnt like the answer?
Well...there's always the Grav Doms version of Phase...hehe. I've been working him up to see how he'll do. Since it's an AoE, I can take out a nice little chunk of folks...or once in Warburg, a MMs pets Mwuahahaa. Gotta see if I can get Command prompt into Warburg for a little revenge.

I think this would be fun FF and I would participate for sure. But I think that a lot more people like and prefer to go to Sirens (and ultimately participate in FC) instead of the Arena, for example, because of the rewards (i.e. +3SOs, temp powers, high inspirations, and the rep.) At least I do.
There is definitely ONE thing that I don't like about the Arena...the bugs!!! After almost an entire year in operation, there are so many bugs in the system. I can't stand it when I'm in the middle of a nice match (HvH, VvH, VvV, or Gladiator matches) and I get kicked out, even after making sure that I click "No Observers"...urgh...that drives me insane!!!
Cheers,

I barked up this same tree a couple of weeks ago Genna, and I was gently reminded by a couple of posters that a server community functions in much the same way as a society. You can't just let people do whatever the hell they want to and expect everyone to gleefully accept it. There is some behavior that's acceptable, and some that isn't.
Now certainly none of us have the capacity to actually punish anyone for anything we view as misconduct, but we do have the right as a community to choose not to associate with those whose actions are antisocial. That's not hypocritical or anything of the sort, it's simply people defending their own right to have fun on a video game they're paying a monthly fee to play.
My two cents:
People are spectating at FC. One of them is your bounty. Walk up to them.
Ask:
"Hey, you are my bounty, can I just get the kill?"
They often say, "Sure" because they can just come right back.
If they say "No", then CHALLENGE THEM to a FC match.
If they say "No" to that, then:
A) Suck it up
B) Keep asking them
C) Explain to them
DO NOT ATTACK WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION.
In other areas, feel free to attack them. Not in FC. Just not there. Simple as that.

*yawn*
But why take all that time to set it all up to fight?? when I can simply hop on a roof with 10 other people...battle three of them and be full of FC...then I can easily go and do the 5 or 6 other things there are to do in Siren's and not have to "waste" another 10 minutes to and from to the Arena to Siren's...
I don't want that much structure in my PvP Experience...I don't want to decide for 10 minutes what kind of match I want, list it, wait another 5-10 minutes for people to join the match...when all I have to do is go to a zone to pvp in a place WHERE I KNOW THERE WILL BE PEOPLE TO PVP WITH!!! I don't get that vibe with the Arena....I have waited up to 15 minutes to get in an arena match...to me...that's wayyyyyyy too long to get into a fight...
that could be a problem, but usually it happens within the first min, if it happens at all.
I just wish FC wasn't so disruptive toward the PvP envirnment in SC. Bounty is no longer fun, when someone lets you kill them, or is protected by people shouting in broacast. Warburg is much better for FC, but unfortunetely is a higher level than SC, and gives melee types devestating lvl 38 powers in a no inspiration, toe to toe slug out. Advantage being, that anyone can police the sorrounding envirnment becuase heroes and villains can fight each other.
