Hello all, This is a special event that I created many years ago, and we had some success with it, so I'm bringing it back. Brutal Bruiseday brings Brutes of all levels together for teams, tips and lots of SMASH! I plan to hold this event every 2nd Tuesday of the month (1 week after Tanker Tuesday) Please join me for this always fun event.

GoreRax will be in attendance leading the charge!

I would like to say hello to this great forum. I return for a long, long, long hiatus today. It's been about 3 years since i've stepped foot in the game. I am MichealBond and was a pretty prominent member of the Champion Forums and server years ago. I helped organize many events and I have kept up with the game during my time away. I was founder of Corrupticon (an all Corruptor event) along with Brutal Bruiseday (An all Brute event) , Along with a couple of PvP events.

So what have i missed? any of the oldheads around? I was lurking and saw that Tanker Tuesday seems to be the only major event that happens around here now...What's the 411?!?


If anyone remembers me. please feel free to drop me a line and i'd love to team up!

To Tell you the truth...I don't think this thread has really "angered" anyone...I believe people have kept everything up here civilized and i think it's healthy for us to debate this topic as well as several related topics.

There is certainly something being planned for the Arena...so we can try a "fight club" in an arena setting...so there is compromise...I doubt it will catch on, but I think there are definitely people interested in trying (myself included)...

Things will get better, it's just that a lot of people have Several Different visions of PvP...we're pretty pvp heavy on these forums...and sometimes those visions bump heads with each other...it's all good as far as I can tell...

Final, if your only concern is PvP and getting your bounty...why does it even matter what people think of you? should it matter that after you kill your bounty in a FC match that 10 heroes or villains gang up on you and send you to the hospital quickly?

would you be mad if you did get ganked when you were only "trying to get your bounty"? If not, then why does it matter...they can't stop you with words...

the man is in an OPEN PvP zone. Heroes vs Villains. the fact that FC, not sanctioned/created by Cryptic, trying to subjugate their own "rules" onto a zone and specifically ONE person seems a little, maybe just a tad unfair?

if its so bad, why don't the villains team up and take him on? then the heroes can team up and have an all out slugfest... like it should be Heroes vs Villains.

This explains my point in how so many people that dislike FC haven't been around it much...and really haven't experienced it enough to know what they're talking about...

Fight Clubs many times end up in an all our brawl...Everyone gets tired of doing the same ole thing in Siren's...and fight clubs get broken up all the time after a while...but that's the GREAT part about Siren's...there is enough to do for everyone...when you get tired of Regular PvP...you can hit hotspots...when you get tired of hotspots...you can FC...when you're tired of FC..you can street hunt...when you're tired of street hunting...you can do missions....there are tons of things for you to do besides PvP...

But why take all that time to set it all up to fight?? when I can simply hop on a roof with 10 other people...battle three of them and be full of FC...then I can easily go and do the 5 or 6 other things there are to do in Siren's and not have to "waste" another 10 minutes to and from to the Arena to Siren's...

I don't want that much structure in my PvP Experience...I don't want to decide for 10 minutes what kind of match I want, list it, wait another 5-10 minutes for people to join the match...when all I have to do is go to a zone to pvp in a place WHERE I KNOW THERE WILL BE PEOPLE TO PVP WITH!!! I don't get that vibe with the Arena....I have waited up to 15 minutes to get in an arena match...to me...that's wayyyyyyy too long to get into a fight...

once you find enough people that are interested in FC in Siren's you have to zone out of Siren's...run/fly/jump to the green line or yellow line...hit talos or galaxy or PI...get to the arena, set up the match...wait for everyone to join...start the match...and then 30 seconds later....the match is over...taking 5-10 minutes to zone and zone and zone and set up...just for a 30 second match?? That IS a hassle...FC Matches are MUCH easier to set up...where there is already a large group of players interested in FC right in a zone where you only have to move within a single zone...jump fly, or tp up the side of a building...

people like to see other players ... no one is going to stay at something when it appears that no one is there...on transit from Siren's to the Arena players can get lost...they can end up at the wrong Arena if everyone is meeting at a certain one...then arriving at the wrong arena, that person would get discouraged and just simply head back to Sirens Call...

Every time you plug the Arena, it bugs me because you guys don't UNDERSTAND why the Fight Club was made in the 1st place and WHY the Fight Clubs have been so popular...and you don't understand why the PvP Zones are so much more interesting....I"m not going to spend precious time to set up an event at the arena for a match to last 30 seconds...to get a map that I can't even choose...Not when I can stay where I am...and have a nice simple duel once in a while without getting ganked on several times...I can do that without having to zone out of Siren's...

And who's to say there won't be people following the mass of folks to the arena just to interrupt the 1 v 1 matches...(if a 64 man event was going down...) People might get restless after waiting a few minutes and decide to beat up the losing side to every 1 v 1 match...so no...the Arena wouldn't solve any problems...it can just as easily be interrupted or "griefed" on that would probably turn a lot of people away...

Was an influence bank ever mentioned? I don't seem to remember in any interviews by the devs but I have missed many discussions on Issue 7.

I'm doub there will be an SG bank, but the enhancement bank will probably serve better for lower lvl players anyways...50's can leave lvl 50 enhancements for low lvl people to cash in for tons of influence...

That's why Recluse's Victory is gonna be the sh*t!!!! I Love Siren's Call...and I can't wait for a zone where you can use all your powers...I really think there will be some great fights...especially since there will be control points that have to be taken over...

There is nothing wrong with talking junk!!! It drives people...it drives myself...I love to get in a smackfest with people sometimes...it makes me want to go that harder, that much faster...concentrate that much more...I talk my junk in a reasonable way...I have quite a few binds that I use on my Brute and Tank....Very Fun!!!

I returned after to say I was sorry that I had attacked even though it was obvious Ms. Smiteswell wasn't doing PvP.

If someone had killed Ms. Smiteswell, it was not my team as I was only teamed with MichaelBond.

I am sorry I attacked, but it is a PvP zone and I can get alittle tense & Defencive. However, I did not kill Ms. Smiteswell nor did I collect any bounty. I simply hit Ms. Smiteswell once.

BB was dead last night, so I went into Siren's Call...

I was playing my iLL/Rad Controller, Syndek, Last night...I continuously got killed by Stalkers...it was all good fun, but I got fed up with being 1-shotted, so I got my Fire/Energy Tank, Tenkarre...Was flying around, met up with Dinah Might, and fended off some stalkers...I'm totally loving the PVP Zones...
