Influence? Around the end of issue 1 I started reading the forums and many posters whose names I can't remember gave me valuable advice when I started playing.

When I started a guy named Cobalt Stalker and I teamed a lot and he helped me out.

When I started getting burnt out the first time Liberty Sentry and a SG called The Constitutionalists kept me going.

When I started getting burnt out the second time a person named Tackles and a SG named DoIDD kept me going.

When I started getting burnt out the third time SGs named DoIDD, Justice Squad Elite, and the Tempest Legion kept me going.

When I started getting burnt out the fourth time people named Kaiser Soze, Apple, Steam, Toona, Lucas, Con, Solo and Ume kept me going.

And now? I don't know.

I just saw this thread....... and I have to admit it's pretty kewl.

No Britney didn't inspire me........ actually I dispise the woman. But I am sure I have inspired thousands of people......... to either play different games or at least gignore me and play on other servers.........

<drum roll, symbol noise>

Since someone necro'd this thread, and its cool, and its the first time I read it:

Phoenix Prime - my first SG from beta through the first two years. A fun bunch of folks, who sadly, are mostly not in the game anymore. Special call out to After Shock, Sketch Riley, Rommel, Haven and Krazed Kaos.

Super Britney - Brit, you were a blast. Too bad you're also not around any more. I can't do Virgil Tarakoss ST without getting hungry for flaming chicken BBQ. Or watch Britney without realizing she has a hundred clones in the superhero world.

Frostbites - definitely the life of the party and soul of -Corporation-, the reincarnation of Phoenix Prime on redside.

Tech Ranger and Captain Omega - two very solid and dependable people. Also sad you're not on any longer.

After five years I'm the only one I know of from Phoenix Prime on these days - not sure if LHF was in Prime, the roster was huge at one point, and I was never good at memorizing everyone.

Lastly, and thankfully, the entire of Legends of Justice. Their friendliness and goofy jokes are what make me stay in the game and have fun this current go-around.

Oh, also Krunch, The Confessor, Sarrate, DarkOctober and many other forum posters (many whop have come and gone) who have either entertained me or helped me build my characters to be at their best.

I was an officer, actually. I was the one responsible for keeping most of the nastiness of our message board toward the end, moderating it to try to keep as much of the conflict that was tearing the SG apart to a minimum. Unfortunately it didn't matter what I did, largely because I was too late, and secondly because even when I could keep the board clean the in-fighting between certain members simply spilled over into PMs and in-game fighting in the SG channel. That entire event is a good lesson as to what can happen when an SG leader publically takes sides in a personal conflict.

It wasn't a nice time. I regret a lot of what happened at that point, mostly because I didn't handle it well.

Sorry for my lack of memory LHF, I was on late when mostly Haven and Tech Ranger or Cap were on, or on an inactive account. PP broke up during one of my absences. As you indicate, the last year was marked by some crappy dynamics.

What reformed as -Corporation- was fun for the year it lasted on Freedom/Red, mostly because I think a lot of folks who had differences were no longer under the same tent.

PS, not sure if it would ring a bell, but I was Night Fist, one of the founding members from Beta. But with my on-again off-again playstyle, there were just loads of folks I never got to meet (also factor in time zones, and the factions that developed where some folks just wouldn't talk to others not in their clique). *waves*

I like seeing this thread arise again and again; brings back fond memories.

Way back in Issue 1, several family members decided to try CoH. I came along for the ride as usual, and again as usual the family was getting bored after a few months and moving to decamp. So one day I found myself alone in Founders Falls, hunting 5th Column Vampyri, and I saw in broadcast that some folks needed help with Nosferatu. Given prior MMO experiences and the previous availability of family, I hadn't yet joined a PUG, but Nossy fit my theme for the day, so I thought, "why not?"

Thus my first CoH PUG consisted of Miss Informed, Jack Zodiac, Tayuya, and Blackfire. And here I am now with a 60 month vet badge...hm...

Well I started right after i4, and although the people that helped me the most weren't pros, and had actually just started with me, I loved having them as my friends. We even had our own SG because SG's were basically just really large teams that didn't share XP. :P

I miss you guys; Goji Zilla and Ariada. (Fire/Fire tank and Fire/Empathy Controller whilst I was grav/storm)

Who influenced me the most....

Well that would have to be Tremorr. When I met him 5 years ago in game he took me under his wing and showed a Blaster how to be a Blaster (thought it was kind of strange a Tank showing a Blaster how she should work her toon). I was brand new to the game as at that time most of us were but he was a great help to me back in the day....and quite frankly still is. I remember those long nights hunting in Founder Falls. Then we moved on to hunting nemesis in PI. And can't recall how many niights he would say I am not logging till you level. There were a TON of those nights. His dedication to his friends and his SG mates is unsurpassable. I don't think, no actually I have never met anyone who put his own wants and needs aside to help others. And it doesn't matter who it is, whether it is an SG mate or someone that he just picked up as a pug. If they were close to leveling he made sure it got done. All the 50's that I have I owe to him and his relentless dedication to get me there. His friendship in game and out of game is priceless and one that I will cherish forever. Anyone who has him as a friend knows that his dedication to them is something that should be cherished.

Thank you Trem for all you have done and all that you will continue to do.

Well now that I have some time I can properly thank those that influenced me.

WWII= He influenced me to make a Kin after seeing him always call for crack. Before then I never gave controllers/defenders a second thought. I fell in love with Kinetics because of him and 4 years later I have 7 level 50 Kins! (Talk about over kill)
Even today he is the only tank I have ever met that would go AFk while taunting 5 GM's and come back 10 minutes later and not die. He inspired me to try Stone armor. WWII and his penguin assualt continue till this day LOL ironically I did not start noticing Penguins in stores until AFTER I met him 4 years ago. (true story) lol

Giggles= Boy oh boy the infamous Giggles! What can "anyone" say in a positive light here (besides me )... I know he ticked off many folks and had a serious case of the gimmes sometimes. But he was a good guy and taught me a lot about redside, stalkers, and got me into PvP. He also introduced me to the RSF long ago.

Bada Boooom= Bada is an all around good dude, he has shown me a lot about redside as well as badges and things. He got me into collecting accolades.

Galaxy Tanker= He showed me a lot about fire tanks a few years ago. I learned a great deal from him about badges, tanking, missions etc. He inspired me to stay focused when things were rough for me. I am proud to call him my real life friend.

Kilspyke= Kil taught me a lot about regens and scrappers in general. 3 years later the same info he gave me then is still applied today.

Gaderath= Inspired us not to give up on our illusion troller and proved how powerfull an illusion troller can be by proving it to us over and over (along with her Peacebringer) I could go on and on about Gad but in short Gad reeks of awesome

Herydann= Hery taught me not to care what people think of you and to never be sorry for trying to be a hero regardless if you win or lose. (I never forgot that ) To some extend I have to also mention Enrious he also pinned this same thought in my head, but in a different way.

Tyson Sterling= Tyson taught me a lot about dominators and corruptors back in the day. And also taught me about how to succeed on a MoLRSF.

Burning Chrome= My wife Burning Chrome (game wise) influenced me to stay on all those MoSTF runs even after getting the badge on 6 toons when your bored and have nothing to do. Run a MoSTF is her motto LOL

Zappalina= Inspired my wife and I to use skype and other voice chats again after having a bad expierence with it in the past. Through this we have met some very nice and cool people from justice.

Nitra= Nitra inspired me to stay focused when things were rough for me. he also inspired me on badges (as did GT and Zap) he was also one of the first I met to push the envelope with me to rush every TF to finish them as fast as possible. That habit still continues LOL

Philly Girl/ Rose/ Ice Knight/ JustJoan= Inspired me to get involved with PERC and PvPec, seeing all they have done for the commitee and this server is something I won't forget. They have dedicated a lot to this server (and others) and since I can now see what takes place behind the scenes I commend them for all they have had to endure in hosting these events.

Foxy Phoenix= Foxy inspired me to stay the hell away from him. i'm kidding

Galactic Blaze/Mac D= These guys inspired me not to quit this game. They need me here. (come on you didn't think I would forget you two did ya?) lol

On a serious note, the reason I have stayed on Justice so long is because they are many that inspire people every day on this server. Not to say one is better than another, but the fact that there so many various people willing to influence one another in a positive light to make us all better is something that makes it great to be here. In short it’s what makes us united not divided that makes this server great! And a trend that I believe should continue for the better of the community.

Thanks for the kind words NightFist (as I know you, lol). I'm actually still around, just not very often anymore. Real life does not allow me to play as often as I would like.

As a former officer of Prime myself I will say that I wish things would have ended better than what they did. None of us wanted Prime to go away because the people and the memories that were established during that time were some of the best that I will ever experience in any game. I miss my times in Prime and the people that were there. I wish they all still played. LHF and I tried to keep Prime intact during all of the drama that killed it, but as they say... All good things must come to an end.

Alas, I give you the roster of Phoenix Prime (for memory lane's sake). Because they all inspired me in some shape or form (just to stay on topic, lol). And I know I'm probably going to leave someone out (my memory used to be pretty good, but now its fading). But this is what I can remember.....

Aftershock
Loominal
Omniwolf
Living Hellfire
Syxxblade
Stingblade
Frostbites
Night Fist
Night Eagle
Freedom Frenzy
Ultra Girl
Turbospector
Rommel (aka The Fonz)
Jules Winfield
Sketch Rielly

Tech Ranger
Super Britney
Killer 32216

Synapse Overload
Kauket
Starfyre
Feel Lucky
Rawket
Lady T
Big Dawg

My alts. All of them. They influenced me to make more! That's also why I hate them. Other than that...Omega from Omega Sector. 1st SG. 1st global friend. 1st million made was a gift for joining the SG. Taught me that debt doesn't mean anything once you hit 50. BIG O!!! Giggles. Many hated him. But if you knew him, he was one of the coolest guys around. RSF'd the hell out of the days. Helped get me my 1st 50 villain. Cynergy Sparx. Helped my MA/DA Scrapper, Brakkion get Portal Jockey and let me beat up on her DM/can't remember the secondary, Scrapper. Death ultra blade. Made me want to have a better broot. Good guy. Relentless farmer. Those are the 4 that stick out the most atm. I know there are more and apologies for not mentioning you.
How the hell can I forget about WWII and his frackin penguins. BBB!!! Oh and his inherent distaste for travel powers. Made me glad that I had them. Slow ***.
