Sup TA! I'm not much on late night gaming anymore. I moved off of night shift about 3 years ago, so I don't make it into the wee hours of the morning anymore. From time to time I'm known to make it to about 2 or 3 in the morning on a Saturday night, but those are few and far between.

Despite not being an active Justicite over the last couple of years, I plan on staying here. This has been my home since Beta and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon.

Quote:Thanks for the kind words NightFist (as I know you, lol). I'm actually still around, just not very often anymore. Real life does not allow me to play as often as I would like.
Phoenix Prime - my first SG from beta through the first two years. A fun bunch of folks, who sadly, are mostly not in the game anymore.
Tech Ranger and Captain Omega - two very solid and dependable people. Also sad you're not on any longer.
After five years I'm the only one I know of from Phoenix Prime on these days - not sure if LHF was in Prime, the roster was huge at one point, and I was never good at memorizing everyone.
As a former officer of Prime myself I will say that I wish things would have ended better than what they did. None of us wanted Prime to go away because the people and the memories that were established during that time were some of the best that I will ever experience in any game. I miss my times in Prime and the people that were there. I wish they all still played. LHF and I tried to keep Prime intact during all of the drama that killed it, but as they say... All good things must come to an end.
Alas, I give you the roster of Phoenix Prime (for memory lane's sake). Because they all inspired me in some shape or form (just to stay on topic, lol). And I know I'm probably going to leave someone out (my memory used to be pretty good, but now its fading). But this is what I can remember.....

Thanks for sharing.

Wow. Just amazing work. The amount of detail in each character is amazing!!

First of all, thanks Devs for granting us another double XP weekend. But is there anyway you guys can announce this a little farther out than you do? I know several people that sometime have to work on the weekends and with a little more future notice they might be able to ask for time off in order to participate. Or how about having a 2-3 day double xp event in the middle of the week? Or how about going half a week? Just suggestions.

SG Name: The Eternals
SG Leaders:Frostbites & Capt Omega
SG Website (if any): The-Eternals.net
SG Recruiters: @ Capt Omega and @ Frostbites
Teamspeak/Ventrillo Server: We currently use Teamspeak
SG Peak Hours: Members play throughout the daytime and night, but the peak hours are usually nightly around 8-9 pm CST and the weekends.
Other Info: This is a veteran group of players that has been gaming together for years. Most of us were part of a large SG that lasted 2 and a half years. We are now forming a new SG and are looking for new members. If you are looking for a laid back group that loves to team and help each other out, then this is the place for you. We will have weekly scheduled events for members to participate in (Task Forces, PvP events, Zone Events). Our Eternal Darkness VG is located on the Freedom Server. Members are encouraged, but not required to play in SG mode. If you are interested please contact the Recruiters in game or visit our website and fill out an application.
We look forward to hearing from you! -

It does make me wonder that considering the DoIDD is probably the single largest and most organized SG in the entire game, if they're having such issues you can figure that even if they get to the point of having Items of Power in their base, who they heck are they going to have to raid against?
[/ QUOTE ]
They are not the only ones.... Phoenix Prime has been here since day one is also one of the largest SGs on Justice (next to DoIDD of course) and we are having a pretty hard time with this as well. We even have tons of resources at our disposal (aka 50s) that could transfer influence to prestige, and we still would not be able to build everything we need.
Is it me or does this just sound screwed up? Maybe in about 6 months base raids will actually be relevant in this game (if anyone is left). -
[ QUOTE ]
Ok imagine if you have a full sg of 50's, and they all contribute 10 mill USELESS influence to the base fund.
10 mill inf= 20k prestige
20k prestige times 75 members= 1.5 mill prestige......not bad to start, but can get better, alot better. The exchange rate needs to change.
[/ QUOTE ]
Totally agree with you here. That 1.5 mill only buys you maybe a couple of rooms and an essential item or two, if that. -

I'm sure that's the cue for posters will tell you that NCsoft runs a far better MMO than SOE or EA....
[/ QUOTE ]
No, I came from playing a SOE MMO game, and its why I came here. Because this game was far and above better than them. SOE could not keep me happy so I left to a game that catered more to the casual gamer. This game is no longer gravitating around the casual gamer anymore. But that is besides the point. I am simply saying that you will get to a point of dimenishing returns when you continue to make your player (and income) base unhappy. Look at Matrix Online, that game is on the verge of going under (even though SOE bought them out). That game has not been out a year yet and they have already merged servers.
But more importantly than anything else, this does not explain why I have the Shard and Moonfire Badges on Test, and now they say it will not happen for Issue 5? -
[ QUOTE ]
Do you whine about it endlessly? Ordering people around like some poor animal? Demanding that they must do whatever you want in order to satisfy you?
Or do you accept their explanation (regardless of whether you like or believe their explanation). Because this isn't about them, it is about how you are. It is about the person you are.
There is no 'the customer is always right'. That does not exist.
You don't know the technical side of things, even if you are in the industry, you don't know how Cryptic is set up. If they tell you it can't/won't be done. Then that is it.
[/ QUOTE ]
As long as I am a paying customer, I will always have the right to ask questions. Its called customer service. Every business has it, whether its some type of service, providing goods, or even a computer game. We are their customers, they listen to us. To say that the customer is not always right is ridiculous. Yeah, its an over-used cliche. But unfortunately, its reality. If you don't bend for your customers, someone else will. It's proven time and time again. For example, the company I work for just lost an account. We lost this account because they were not happy with quality. The customer complained and we tried to fix the problem. No solution was good enough for them, so they went to another company that had a solution for their problem. So spare me with the "There is no the customer is always right" bull. The only area where this does not exist is when a company corners the market in an area, and NCSoft/Cryptic is not the only game in town.
And you are right, I'm not in the industry. And I commend these guys for all the work they do. But they need to understand that this is not a popular decision. Some of these posts may come off a little harsh, but I don't think you understand some of the frustration some of us feel as customers. -
I still want to know why I have these badges on Test and I won't have them on Live servers when Issue 5 hits, if Datamining is not available for these badges.
-
[ QUOTE ]
I'll pop in here so you guys have a new target.
The original Task Force Datamine took 3 months to finish. That was to go over 2 months worth of data.
We now have 18 months worth of data. We looked for a more effecient solution, but our estimates still come out at 2 years to datamine and get you your badges.
[/ QUOTE ]
Posi, thanks for getting back to us on this with a reply. But why do I have the Shadow Shard Badges on Test right now when I did them 2 months ago? -
What a minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This does not make any sense. Why in the hell do I have the Shard TF badges on test then if datamining could not be done!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I'm aware that you are only the messanger Cuppa, but the devs need to understand how much they just hacked everyone off. Of all the things they are doing to us in Issue 5, they could have ATLEAST given us the freaking badges for the Shard TFs.
This is by far one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen since I started playing this game. -
Thanks for the Notes Butler! Some interesting stuff there, but like many of the other posters, I don't understand the hate towards the NPC shops. They serve a purpose and they work pretty well to me.

It is... you have to look for it.
