20,000 Prestige per Member for existing SGs?
Its coming, was bugged that it didn't already give it to you.
Will be in the the patch after the next one they put up.
Right.
You do NOT need to reform your SG. We have the bug fixed here internally, and in the patch after the next one your SG will get it's 20,000p per member, up to 15. You need to do nothing in order for this to happen, it will be automagic.

Heh... I remember, many years ago, there was some commercial that used the phrase, "automagically". I can't remember what it was for, but by coincidence, the word had just popped into my head yesterday, after years of not thinking about it...
So let me get this right, SG's that have been around forever get no added benefit and larger sg's get no benefit?

There could be an added benefit, but your entire SG would have to be 'balanced' as a result.

That is the long and short of it.
@Mindshadow
The benefit is you get out there and start accruing Prestige at a higher rate than newer guilds because you already have a strong membership.

Yeah. And this is a good thing. The 'main' super group me and my friends run around in on infinity has about forty characters, but it's really just four of us and a crapton of our alts - so it's a nice head start on base making, since at most only four of us are stomping Evil at a given time.
Seems perfectly fair to me. We get a short term boost while groups filled with large numbers of individual players will quickly overcome the prestige we've got by a long shot.
which brings up a good point?
do you get the 20k per character/toon that is a member (up to 15)? or does it track by account (i.e. unique players)?

I was almost excited by all of the inactives in my SG, until you said first 15 :-/
On the plus side, there is know an auto-demote for inactive leaders, and any character whose name goes unreserved gets auto-booted from your sg.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
Saving me the trouble. My sg really does need to be reformed, though. Or perhaps, just... more alts. It's good to know that we get the bonus though.

So only 300k Prestige? With how much the base items cost, that's pretty low.... Heck, with a regular plot and adding rooms I went through 12 million adding rooms, items, and such....
At this rate, no bases will be built for a bit yet....
*sigh*

It tracks by character, not player. I confirmed this last night on my sub-SG (Which, ironically, had its Prestige).
Another thing to note, if you have 12 members, and therefore 240,000 Prestige, and a member quits...you immediately drop to 220,000 Prestige. (Also confirmed, unintentionally. )

They had to do this, otherwise the exploit for it is REALLY obvious.
Other notes from beta - if you're at 0 Prestige (because of spending it all) and someone leaves, you can actually go into the negatives.
You can always recruit more people (or fill the SG with alts) if it's that big a problem.
@Mindshadow
Why is the cap only 20k per member anyway? This basically says that all the time we have played our heroes doesn't even count for anything in having a base. At the rate that we gain prestige, it will take forever to get a decent base. And I don't care if it's not fair to the villians. That falls into the "too damn bad" catagroy. CoH was here first. Let us make our bases and give us more prestige. I believe after all of the crap we have been through since release, we have earned it.

Oh definitely. It makes perfect sense, I just wasn't thinking about it when I deleted the alt and therefore put it out as a warning.
I do disagree with going into the negatives if you spend the Prestige and then someone leaves. Perhaps if they leave in less than X amount of time, I could see it. (To prevent THAT exploit)...but leaving in general causing loss of Prestige is silly. If they earned the Prestige while in the SG, and the Prestige was spent while they were in the SG, then I don't see a problem... (As long as they were a member for say, a minimum of 30 days.)

Any Prestige they EARN while fighting in SG Mode stays. The -only- thing lost is 20,000 when your group loses a member that drops them below 15, or are already below 15.

As soon as I get my damn rendering, you'll get your prestige!
I've already forgotten about most of you
Are you sure, Posi? I have a GM response sitting in my email inbox that says that pre-existing SGs are NOT getting the bonus influence.
Are they wrong? I'm confused.
Dawncaller - The Circle of Dawn
Too many blasted alts to list, but all on Virtue.
Either your GM was attempting to say "SGs are supposed to get the bonus but currently, due to a bug, they are not," or your GM doesn't know what he's talking about. See here.
OK, when you form a SG, you're supposed to get 20,000 prestige for having one member. Then, for each member that joins your SG, you get 20,000 prestige...
Have they said if this bonus is coming to preexisting SGs? Or, rather, when it is? or do we all have to reform our SGs?
