  1. If you're looking for live versions of the 'old' sonic graphics, just check out those -res grenades that longbow nullifiers throw over what, level 40? Those never got updated when they changed out the sonic graphics, and they STILL give me fits.

    Get Dash Apostrophe (#4644!)

    Admittedly I haven't streamlined it with the new issue's changes to AE yet (for custom critters and the like) but this is the favorite of the two I've built so far.
  4. Or you could just organize a mass heal-fest under the Atlas statue. Get as many people as possible to bring vet pets and cram them into as close a space as is possible. I think at level 50 my controller gets 1000 points of 'healing' per wave. Mulitplied by 50 per heal that'd add up superultramegafast ™

  6. Is the Jetpack Quartermaster in Grandville new? I never saw that before (but then, it DID take me a month to spot those 'Abandoned Laboratories' scattered around too...)
  7. I've got two (I believe) that are suitable from level 1 up, and are not necessarily villainous.

    My first is Death to Humans! Arc number is 84643 ... consists of three missions, short/medium/medium (not 'unique') maps. Has custom enemies and 5th, but I attempted to make them low level friendly (no energy drains, no 'huge' hits for the most part) and no elite bosses /arch villains. The range is 1-54 so anyone can play it really. This one is of 'neutral' morality.

    The other is Get Dash Apostrophe! Arc number 4644. Consists of three missions also, of short/medium/medium map sizes (nothing outdoor, though the first is 'unique'). Has custom enemies, but I gave this one another pass to make sure they weren't 'horrible' to fight. There's one elite boss but I made pains to make her as 'not awful' as possible. This one is of 'heroic' morality.

    Still working on an 'all levels' villain mission but I'm not feeling the 'diabolical' urge just yet. It's in there somewhere though.

    Actually. I'd just like it contacts charged LESS for enhancements than the regular stores do, not MORE.

    It's sort of pointless for them to HAVE stores if they're charging so much more than, say, ghost falcon or whoever.
  9. See, I recognized that nothing was ever going to be done to help ice melee a LONG time ago, which is why I never bothered contributing here. My time testing for them and posting constructively on the forum has been ignored by the current powers that be, so I figure why bother?

    Well, that and essentially being told to 'butt out' of previous threads in this regard.

    This is a team that honestly thinks that ice melee and energy melee are remotely balanced. And that it's completely sensible for something like icicles to be lethal-only damage when an ice sword is lethal and cold.

    You can't argue with illogic like that.

    So this is why I retired my ice tanker for the most part after i hit 50 on it oh, in issue 4? Break her out and spec her every issue to endure the new nerfs, but that's about it (give or take an experiment or two in warburg, or with IOs, or whatever).

    Speaking of the Old Ice Tankers home, I don't even see Circeus and Archimedes any more... hrm....

  11. It's a shame that their special fan-only closed beta, and then an open beta with some raids watched BY a developer didn't seem to notice that these inspirations weren't working 'as intended'.

    So much for the improved testing environment.

    There isn't in PvE, really. We have certain people routinely and repeatedly grief raids for instance, because they know for a fact that there is naught but a ghost town of a GM team in this game, and despite being petitioned for dozens and dozens of raids, those same people persist on the server, free to again do that.

    If the powers that be refuse to smack down someone who is literally griefing hundreds of players at a time, they're not going to do ANYTHING about idiots pulling monsters or huge groups of 50s onto wee folks any longer, much less doing just about anything in a PvP zone.

    Got to love 'downsizing'...

    That is the case. He said you couldn't slot ones higher than +3. He did not say you couldn't slot ones that were -3 and below. (Although that may ALSO be the case, but that would just mean that a L33 who slotted a L30 enh would keep USING it, but once they were L34 they could no longer PLACE it; it probably doesn't matter.)

    here's hoping you can slot lower level inventions. Or else a respec could truly be horrifying to contemplate, especially if you picked up a 'very rare' recipe at a lower level...

The Skulls Dyne Lab, Hellion lair (with puzzleboxes), Portal Lab (with portals in various stages of construction), and other maps that have unique decorations in them. All of these objects are invisible. We can run into them, stand on them, and get line of sight errors from them, but we just can't see them.

    True. I did that Tsoo job in the teens where you have to beat them up and steal all their crates of 'magic ink' when we kept running into stuff we couldn't see - took a bit but me and a friend realized that all that unique tsoo decor was completely invisible - still there though. Which was odd.

    I asked about that in a petition over a month ago when the same thing happened to me. It got escalated until I got this reply, about 3 weeks later:

    "Hi Denny,

    Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the PlayNC Support Team does not have these detailed available from Cryptic. For your answer, please refer to the City of Heroes forums at http://boards.cityofheroes.com ."

    All I wanted to know was how LONG I had to wait after healing when fighting NPCs before this NPC damage would go away. And they couldn't answer. I assume you have to log out and back on before you can actually fight players now. And of course the forums don't have this info.

    Oddly I hit every badge again in SG mode when the issue 6 hit - I'm just hoping it kept track of that, and not just the ones that were active at that point. But if I have to again, eh. It's still worth it!
  22. Didn't a lot of these used to take 'cone range' enhancements when they existed though? I can't remember for sure but I could swear that at least headsplitter did (though I can't recall for sure).

    That's how I found the previous problem out with the HO enhancements - I put a damage/range in it to see if the cone range would widen, but then it would activate outside of the normal range and nothing would happen - no hit, no miss, just a failed firing.

    Again though I'm not absolutely certain if they did in the past - I'm getting forgetful these days... heh.

    Heh, that'd be a pretty cool effect, a sort of Antipathy.

    An AoE that gave allies health but damaged enemies. Then you'd have to choose between heal and damage enhancements. Hmm...
