  2. What I would truly like to know is has this been extensively tested. re: Devs release a patch that buffs AV/Heros 80%, much complaining was done with great understanding. The Dev's come back and make this statement, "that after much complaining they TESTED this patch and found that it took a 8 man team of level 50 villains to take an av/hero down. They then took and changed the buff to 20%. what is my point, my point is has this Acc slider new mathmatics been tested or do the devs need to come and watch my sr get it's [censored] knocked in the dirt. I will be honest your opening post was very informative but that I didnt quite grasp it all. What I do know is pre i7 my sr stalker was very popular considering that I was basically equivalent to a scrapper on the amount of dmg I could handle. This is far from the case now. I have been in Grandville hunting lvl 42 boss toxic tarantulas and contiually getting hammered. I was actually killed while running all defense toggles(6 slotted 3 def 3 end reduc), praticed brawler, elude(not currently slotted), and 15 lucks. Now I am not sure where the cap is on lucks so that may be irrelivant. How ever in a series of 5 attacks I was dropped being hit 3 times. The third time being almost unnecessary considering that posion ticks off at 45 for every 2-3 sec. but that is another story. I understand that there needs to be balance but this is extreme. When pre i7 I could run mishes on invincible in an 8 man team, dont get me wrong it was challengeing but still very much doable. Where as now it is out of the question unless team is stacked specifically correct. I would like to here exactly how much this has been tested and I will continue to study the mathematcis that you have posted. I believe that there is a large problem an unexpected after effect that may have been over looked. That or the devs are cleverly finding ways to slide a nerf in with alot of flash to distract you. Considering I heard nothing about this acc slider buff nerf whatever it was until I actually felt the sting and went looking for answers.

ps this is Po'litzar/Siamko I am on my bro in laws account atm.
  3. Placate=jedi mind trick hence the hand wave :P
  4. Did you guys test out spines as well, Castle? I seem to miss way more than i should with ripper. I'm only 31 so I don't know how TS is doing on acc, but ripper seems to be horrid atm.
  5. States, are you taking into account that ED came out in October? Most ppl would have already paid their monthly fee and some who pay for more than one month at a time. So these accounts would still be active. You also need to take into account that CoV also came out in, that's right, October. Since there is no added fee for those of us who were already coh subscribers, a lot of those ppl said I'll give states one more chance and try out cov or already have subscriptions that may not actualy deactivate for several months now because they paid in advance.

Will we lose customers because of ED? The answer is yes. I know some who have left now because they just couldn't take anymore nerfs to their characters. Plus, states, you need to look at it from our point of view. We have endured several nerfs some, AT's more than others, and at the same time we have had no max lvl increase and no new end game content. So yes a lot of ppl are fed up. I'll be honest I'm completely fed up with you and you're ideas that are just dragging this game down. I stick around not for the game and sure as hell not for you, but because many of us have played this game for over a year and have made some true friends here. A lot of the vets have left or stay because of 2 reasons: 1) for some reason they think at some point you will actualy reevaluate you past ideas and somehow correct some issues or 2) They stick around for the friendships they have made. There are plenty of times I just log on to chat with some friends and don't even play the game. I hope like hell the first one comes true, but I've lost all faith in the dev team. And I can't help but think some members of the dev team agree with the consumers on several issues. I always imagine you teaming with ppl from the dev team and them being fed up with your builds. I mean I've seen the builds you guys have tested with.

All in all, you guys have to start taking into account your player base and quit side stepping issues or intentionaly misleading ppl. And for the love of god we need end game content and a max lvl raise or coh will be dead. People will just play cov and say to hell with coh.
  6. Why didn't we get an sg bank before now? And wth did we not get one as a feature in cov!? It's bad enough they just screwed over older sg'd and bigger sg's where prestige is concerned, it's bad enough we've been 50 for a year or more and they haven't added jack for us, it's bad enough we've been nerfed repeatedly with no end in sight, but why couldn't we have a bank!? We've been asking for an sg bank and a max sg member raise forever, but oh yeah i forgot devs don't ever listen to players.

To make matters even worse you can only carry 20 copies of an idividual salvage item before it's maxed. For the love of god why? Not giving us enough prestige wasn't bad enough? Now we have to waste salvage cause some idiot on the developing team(most likely statesman) didn't think that a storage unit or "bank" would come in handy? I realize the focus of the game has been how can we screw long time subscribers this month, for quite some time; but dear god can we get any love? I would love to be in one of these dev meetings. Castle ( someone who has actualy played several MMO's unlike states) has got to be just shaking his head everytime Jack opens his mouth. I see castle if not all of the other devs hitting the bar afterwards and talking about how Jack needs to go back to pen and paper games and leave the MMO's to ppl who know what they are doing.
  7. What lvl SR were you playing? Invuln scraps are pure crap now after i5 nerf and the i6 nerf(ED). I have ran missions with my lvl 50 spine/invuln with my roomates lvl 50 spine/SR and his SR beats me hands down in any mission. We were fighting +1's and +2's. He rarely took a scratch while i got killed in a matter of seconds. Trust me our dmg res is pure crap now. We go down quick without a healer. We're basicaly blasters that do alot less dmg. I haven't tested out my 43 regen in pve post i6 but post i5 he was better than my invuln. In i6 they took another hard hit though. If i had to rank the scrapper sets right now SR or DA would be at the top then 3rd would be regen and dead last would be invuln at this point.
  8. um I can say my sg had a meeting about various things the other night then afterwards we all went and did AV's with our 50's, and we didn't earn much prestige. Plus I have seen people post on this subject about how you could earn a possible 7mil prestige in a week. I find that hard to believe, but even so did any of you play this on beta? They gave us 36mil prestige to play around with on beta and that was just enough to build a decent base that was able to participate in base raids. 36mil prestige didn't get you the best stuff. Plus if rent is the same as it was on beta then in a couple months the bonus prestige you got for your max 15 members is already gone just from paying rent.

I think I realize now why on beta you got sk'd up to lvl 40 for base raids. You won't have a decent base because you won't be able to afford one until your members are lvl 40. Let me clarify, by decent base I mean a base that has decent enough features to have base raids. I'm still peeved over the whole issue that sg's that have been around for a year or more get absolutely no benefit comparable to newer sg's, and bigger sg's get no benefit comparable to smaller sg's. Older sg's should've gotten a set amount of bonus prestige, and there should not have been a max on prestige per member. If they had actualy given bigger sg's and far older sg's more prestige we would already be able to be testing scheduled raids, but instead we'll be waiting several months to get to access this new content.
  9. Muahaaa *rubs hands in a diabolical fassion* perhaps i should put my ghost widow up for sale on e-bay :P
  10. This was probably already mentioned, but if i remember corectly one of the reasons for the brain bashing nerf bat of I5 was to reign in the plvlers and herding. I do remember ppl telling the devs that an AI fix would do the same thing without having to nerf ppl. And now they did the AI fix after 2 hardcore nerfs from I5 and I6. Why? You nerfed "herding" missions and every AT across the board to discourage herding and now after the nerfs add an AI fix? Does that mean you'll be restoring us to superhero status now or are we doomed to the status of common thugs and police officers?
  11. So let me get this right, SG's that have been around forever get no added benefit and larger sg's get no benefit?
  12. sounds to me like this could all be avoided by making hami even harder like needing 300 ppl to take him down then its impossible cause of the horrendous lag everyone would have :P

but seriously, i undertsand both sides of the argument. i know some very good peeps that play coh and cannot do hami raids so basicaly the people who make alot more money or who's parents pay for their comp and sub. have the advantage in pvp like most other mmos i have played.

Heh keep making hami harder and raise the max lvl to 60 that way ho's ppl already have would be outdated unless they chose to stay a lowbie :P
  13. Everyone else has pretty much covered my thought on the sg additions, but i'll add a few comments.

I suggest with an sg bank to have certain ranks in the sg to access the banks influence but allow all members to deposit into the bank acount. A vault for enhs. would also be nice for lower lvl members to have access to.

The other big thing for me was sg missions trials tf's etc. which other ppl have covered. However, I personaly would like to see some coh staff sponsored and run events. A scheduled event hosted by coh staff where sg's show up to help thwart some menace. SG's that have higher attendance to said event and SG teams that successfully complete said "trial" or mission or killing some monster or AV receive bonus influence and items for SG HQ or special enhs or even dare i say special costume options or items. I played anarchy online before coming to coh back in may and on ao, though i realize that game has been around for over 3 years now, have ARKs that are members of the staff that come to help you and host events but have physical manifestations. They host org events every once in awhile where org teams that complete the trial receive items and influence that are more rare. then a msg is posted on the website or boards recapping said event and showing sg's that participated.

I love coh and didnt mean to boast ao just would like to see similar things in coh in the future, and i have always loved the idea of support staff having physical characters you interact with in game. Sorry for getting off on another tangent there heh.
