Hehehe... the time has come for Statesman and, frankly, the rest of you pathetic humans, to feel the wrath of the Simiad. Prepare for some face-crushing shots from my mallet.
Statesman dares enter the Rogue Isles, he dares bring those lowly dogs the Freedom Phalanx and assumes a swift and just victory...well Custer thought that very thing I'm sure, right until the indians slaughtered his men and had him begging for his life...consider this Statesman before stepping one foot onto our land...our wrath and brutality will be so fierce that the gods themselves will cringe in fear...bring all you got States because this will be your last stand

There's nothing to say either way.. though if I remember reading correctly about the Rikti Invasion during the CoH Beta, the devs were playing Rikti bosses..

Oh yes. This will probably be like Siren's Call but with devs and GM calling the shots.. And I know the GM's will revel in the glory of gaining revenge on the players (all in good fun fun of course). Oct 26. The GM's Strike Back!

This really IS like the Rikti invasion...

Dev's at the command of impossibly high level opponents that will pwn us all.
then after they begin to feel guilty (that or the pr team beats them in to submission) they'll RP letting us turning the tide of battle.
but only after they've pushed us back to the only safe place left at all.

Funny thing is that the hospitals were overrun with Rikti at the end of the CoH event...
kinda what i was getting at.
from what i've read/been told, towards the end everyone was getting slaughtered and porting to the hospitals so EVERYone started making their stands there using the hospital lobby as a rallying point..
which probably attracted more Rikti to the area

Good to hear that States will be behind the wheel for the event. I just hope it goes better than the Rikti invasion event that took place at the launch of COH. I was there and it was bugged as all get out.
You just know there's going to be that Burly Brawl scene from the Matrix, hundreds of villains pile on top of Statesman, they all beat on him, then he goes "whoosh" and they all get knocked back across the zone!

EXACTLY like it because I'll be working YET AGAIN!! Why can't they ever do these on weekends? Would it have been too much to ask that they do the event this past Saturday instead of during the week when most people have less time? It wouldn't be so bad if they ever redid these things, but I feel like I'm being robbed of the BEST events in CoH yet again. Compared to these, everything else has sucked.
Ok some questions first, there are going to be thousands of players on line for this event, and if the other nights event showed us anything its that lag will the 500 pound elephant lumbering around the zone killing everyone.
Another thing is NO zone can hold 5000+ players, we end up with 15 to 20 intense of the zone, and if Jack is going to be playing I'll be playing the one and only Statesman!
How will we be able to play with/fight him as he will only be in one of the many zones?
And finally, Statesman and the Freedom Phalanx are most likely level 50s or more, now while I know there are some players that are that high, there wont be that many of them, or will this event be in Warburg, and we will all be bumped to 38?

Darn.. don't get my hopes up. I thought Jack had gone on strike, and we could get someone else that didn't have a skewed "vision" that changes every so often, and who talked straight in place...

*Statesman is charging into the Isles with an army of about 2,000 Longbow behind him, also lead by the other FP members, while Lord Recluse and his cronies are all charging into battle, Arachnos Troops, player villains and all*
Classic war scene, yet it never gets old. This will be gold.
