Description: The Nemesis Council May be one of the oldest existing Villain Groups around. It was formed at the beginning of City of Heroes, and has been wrecking havoc among the local Hero population ever since. Finally, we have come into our own with the chance to ACTUALLY be CLASSIFIED as villains, instead of 'pretend' to be Heroes.
The Council's main goal is to be the leader in Super Supremacy. For too long 'mundanes' with no special attributes or powers have led the world with regulatory rules and regulations that limit the freedom of any so called 'hero.' Heroes are not the respected leaders of society, they are merely tools the public uses to keep them 'safe.'
This is a great atrocity, for all regular humans should look to super powered individuals as the next step in evolution. WE should make the rules, laws, and govern society, not the inferior members of our race. We have... allied with Lord Recluse for the time being as he seems to support our cause and beliefs, but we are not ruled by him, or his hierarchy. We will lead the next era in our planet's history, and soon Paragon will submit to our strength. After Paragon... the world is before us.

Cirque du Miserables
Clown/Carnie/Circus themed villain group. Our goal is to create havoc and general chaos with the style and humor of a 3 Ring Circus. No archetype or origin preference, just have a costume that is related to the Circus theme. We are a roleplay-oriented group as well as a humor-oriented group. We are interested in coalitions also.

We do not wish to place our head for someone to simply replace as the next "leader" of the Rogue Isles...instead we wish to offer our services to those groups that aspire for the crown (let them think they rule as they make themselves the target and increase our value and worth, and when the time is ripe and our next patron comes along, we will topple them)...

We are looking for people who have fun with PvP. We are not about "owning the zone", trash talk (unless its really funny) or griefing other players.
Our founding members have played as a group in many games mostly revolving around PvP. At the time of this post we have, just over 50 members and always looking for more.
So if you are up for some fun PvP on the Villain side give us a ring!
The Exiles
A themed villain group for all types of players as long as they actively play the game on at least a weekly basis. We accept roleplayers, hardcore and casual players and organise events at least once a month. All major decisions effecting the VG are discussed beforehand so members can help shape the development of the group.
Contact @Tal-N on global or Eidolon Nomad on the Virtue server. This group is ideal for UK and European players as many of the members are also from that region. Primarally a PvE group however PvP events do take place.
A no-ties invitation scheme is available which will allow you basic access to the VGs facilities however you will be unable to invite new members until you are authorised as a genuine member.
Oh and one more thing, characters who are remakes of existing NPC villain groups (Outcasts, Vahzilok, Circle of Thorns, Malta ect..) are very welcome in our group. Incase anyone is wondering you can get an almost exact copy of the Vahzilok Eidolons with the villain costume sets.

Dark Sun
We are a small, RP heavy villain group that is based off of the ideals of the Knights of the Round Table... just in reverse. Equality still exists among members, though there is a leader (Dreadskull) all members get a say in what happens, there is no "inner circle" or "officers" in that respect. The group is designed for villains who wish to gain respect, recognition, power and prestige. We hope to keep storylines flowing constantly, and should be getting a website/message board very soon.
Interested applicants can send a message to @Dark Gemini, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. There are no character restrictions, but players should be mature and good roleplayers.

(( Sin Enterprises is a barely-off-the-ground vg with a minimal base - it's only one room, but it's decorated - and a good start toward the rest. The bulk of members are super-powered security just like crey agents or paragon protectors but there are upper rank titles for more business-oriented characters; these also must first go through the ropes as security/enforcers. ((The Eris Initiative is a loose VG of somewhat serious(as opposed to cheesy) villians, players are encouraged to play regularly with another VG, representing a grant, investment, or other cooperative effort EI has made with them, and also to establish relationships for future plot involvement. So heres the dilemma that occupies the mind of the leader of the philosophical VG: who cares and why?
The Cult of Mu
its dark, its full of mysteries and secrets and levels of power. Its complicated, as it takes from its members, and it gives as well. The dark god owns all the glory, yet the power must rest in his minions, because without strong minions, your temples will be swept from the Earth. So how does the cult of Mu differ from other VGs?
We have a base, we have high level members, we have cool costumes. How about this, were looking for members who play around the PM hours Pacific time who work well with each other and have a desire to be creative, fun and entertain each other in a light RP environment. There are no politics, there is no he said, she said. People who are annoying or melodramatic will be asked to leave.
Leadership makes the difference, concept and storyline make the difference, and people make the difference. I just had the leader of one of the larger SGs send me a spamtell in game. I chatted with him for a moment before I realized he was probably17 AND socially inept. Either one of those things by themselves I can excuse, but both together are unnerving. Basically it ended with but the big SG is teh win!, and me going great, you win, bye now.
So aside from members, what is there? Quality. The cult is here to stay, but were only looking to grow about as big as 30. After that, were cutting recruiting. If youre interested, please let me know. We have 17 members, looking for 13 more reliable members, who play fairly often, and are team players. All the RP stuff is in my sig, on the website.

So you seek the Anathema?
Anathema is a community of sorts and is home to a number of outcasts, fugitives, extortionists, arsonists and varying and sundry other vile individuals. They come from all paths, be it from the power of Technology, Science, Magick, Mutation, or through some Natural design. These gathered have deemed it worthwhile to commune together. Some do it for protection, others for access to the Warrens, the home of Anathema, and still others do it simply because there is nothing better happening in the Rogue Isles.
There are few rules amongst our ranks. Harm no other Anathema, their minions, or the Warrens themselves.

((Anathema was born as a way to expand the growing needs of the Dauntless Reverie Player base, as well as to allow those in the community with interest in our group and opportunity to play side by side on a regular basis.
With the expansion of City of Villains it became apparent that to keep our group playing together, and interacting with one another and the wonderful RP community on Virtue, an additional outpost in the Dauntless Universe had to be created on the Villains side. Thus was born Anathema in the Rogue Isles.
The decision was made that membership in the Dauntless Reverie is not a requirement of Anathema Membership, and thus the doors stand open for others to come be a part of our group.
We are a highly RP focused group with a proven track record of longevity on Virtue and a history of memorable RP activities that involve many in the RP Community. As is standard with most RP groups we have an OOC channel for RL conversation and non-character fun having, as well as an extremely active message board (over 24,000 articles)
Membership Requirements:
As stated above, we are an extremely RP focused group. So the desire to RP is required, as well as the ability to interact with other members of Anathema in character.

There are certain requirements for membership, but there are many incentives, including a Free ArachnosElite.com email address, more than one exclusive members areas (depending on rank), an exclusive forum as well as 50 megabytes storage for all your CoV screenshots and movies!
A fan fiction section is available for those interested in creating depth to the Arachnos Elite. Contests and prizes will be available, depending on membership.
