[This is a fairly new VG that is seeking both active and casual members. We're fairly small right now, with almost fully functional base. My main concern right now is recruitment. We need numbers, however, I look for maturity, and interest in RP.
I'm in a struggling stage right now, losing and gaining members because no one is active enough. This can all change with some more people. I want to see RP events happening. I'd really like to see this VG be involved in all aspects of the game, yet at the same time, keep it RP oriented.
Also, I seek some creative writing to create an interesting background to this VG. I'm also in need of someone who can spruce up the guildportal website. "In the Loop" is a mature, medium to heavy RP group established in a bar. We are an underground brokerage in information, muscle and minds, and a neutral ground for organizations to meet and come to terms. Malice in Wonderland has been around for a while, just not advertised. It's ran by me, Kryogentic ( one of the sinister 7 ) and Bloodywedd. The group is a promoter of chaos. No realy goal of ruling over anything just to cause as much anarchy as they can.

[So, the joke goes... no matter how horrifying and disgusting a slimy violent Cthulhoid devil-monster, if you spend enough time at Anime and Sci-fi conventions you will inevitably meet a way-too-perky asian girl who wants to be its Girlfriend. I don't know why... that's just how the world is. When you meet her, I don't care how enthusiastically she endorses the Overfiend series, YOU DO NOT WANT TO WATCH!
So, the CMASSC is mainly a big goofy joke, and membership restrictions are pretty light... but it IS a Roleplaying group, and given that it's largely evolved from commentary on Anime Tentacle Monster Fandom, there's a lot of pretty off-the-wall Mature Themes being tossed around. Not for kids, or the fainthearted.
My only real membership restriction to speak of? If your character is drawn from some other RPG setting (D&D, World of Darkness, Shadowrun, etc.), I really don't care for it in my City of Heroes/Villains. Sorry, all you Vampires and Drow and whatnot... but it's not like you'll really miss out much not getting to play with me :-P

My new VG, The Renowned Outcasts, led by Mecha Teddy and The Silent Yoink, are always on the lookout for new members. We proudly claim the label laid on us by a fearful mob, knowing that we will prove them wrong someday. Great minds are seldom understood in their time; Galileo was tried as a heretic, and many other important discoveries were made by practitioners of "forbidden" and "impious" arts. How can it be wrong to try to understand?
We come from many fields and disciplines of Science - biology, chemistry, physics, robotics and more - but we are united in the noble cause of improving Humanity's lot. A child cannot know the benefits of a vaccine; he knows only that the needle hurts, and would reject it if given the choice. Thus, we must sometimes force our gifts upon an unwilling and ungrateful society.
And sometimes we are opposed by those brightly-clad defenders of the status quo of suffering, those who are called "heroes." If they truly had the best interests of the people at heart, they would recognize that we outcast visionaries offer a brighter future for all. Instead, they choose to stand in the way of that future, self-righteously protecting entrenched interests and obsolete philosophies.
To those who would join us, we offer shelter, security, support, and - perhaps most importantly - the understanding of one's true peers. Scientists and Technologists of all kinds are welcome. We also offer refuge to orphaned creations and former experimental subjects, now abandoned and alone in a hostile world. We make no special demands of our members, allowing them to conduct their own researches and contribute (or not) as they see fit.
We have a small but well-equipped facility in Aeon City. A fully-stocked infirmary doubles as a shared laboratory space for our members. Our workshop contains storage racks and a secure vault for salvaged items, two work tables, a cyclotron, and an interocitor. An ultra-high-speed Internet connection supplements our physical library, which includes the complete run of Mad Science Quarterly and other journals. Teleporters provide quick access to all of the Rogue Isles. Of course, we have our own back-up generator (in the event that the Cap au Diable power system should fail) and supercomputer. The control room also includes a conference table and holoprojector that our members use for lunch meetings, presentations, and delivering ultimatums.

Citizens walk the streets of The Rogue Isles and Paragon City unaware that they are nothing more than sheep. The ANTI s will not be part of that flock! We believe that personal freedom of action is the most important part of life, disregarding modern laws, and "morals".
A typical day for an ANTI in The Rogue Isles includes random violence, looting, and any other trouble they feel like getting into that day, from robbing a pack of Hellions in a dark alley, to gunning down the corrupt Police Officers of Mercy Island. We are a solid group of RP'ers. We have all themes inside the group from very dark and twisted to light and fun with all shades in between.

The Eyes of the Watcher is an elite counter-intelligence unit of Vanguard operating under the direct supervision of The Dark Watcher.
The eyes are a hybrid SG/VG combining members from all over the world. There is both an in-game Super Group (CoH) and an in game Villain Group (CoV), but for the purposes of role-play, they are a single team.
The eyes are first and foremost a role-play group playing in a gritty, realistic super hero/spy fiction style. (Think WildCards crossed with X-files, or Men in Black taken seriously.)
Broken Arrow
Immigrants flow into Mercy Island seeking liberty from the establishment, but what do they find? Arachnos, another establishment even more corrupt and exploitative. Broken Arrow is an association for true individuals who won't be owned by the tyrants of Arachnos or the oligarchs in Paragon who would label us villains simply for not conforming to their arbitrary rules. We cooperate for mutual benefit, to protect the liberty of ourselves and the community, and to improve society.
We fund our operation with the profits from Subjugation Inc. - the premier source for mad science. Is your genius beyond the understanding of people who consider you "dangerous" simply for challenging conventional wisdom? The Children of the Night
The Children of the Night are a Heavy RP Villain Group based on the Camarilla kindred of the Vampire: The Masquerade (revised edition) RPG of White Wolf's original (or classic) World of Darkness setting (not Requiem). We have an active website, a fully functional communal haven, and a coalition with various VGs whose bases form additional 'themed' areas for members to RP (most prominently a Toreador Cafe/Theatre Elysium, and a Tremere Chantry).
We prefer our members to have some knowledge of the table-top RPG, but we have links to various WoD and V:tM resources on our site's public forums to help those new to the setting to familiarize themselves with the genre. Members are encouraged to work out a character sheet for their toon based on the table-top RPG's system, and we have adapted much of the rules to work with the CoV die-rolling emote. Basically, I started the VG as a gag. However, it's always possible that someone, against better judgment, would want to join me. I am the sole occupant of my Group at the moment, making the intended irony even more delicious. If others were to join, my requirements would be
1. mature* RPers, and I would not be adverse to sub-majority ages as long as you can type in full English and communicate clearly.
2. Honestly, I am totally laid back about this VG, and you should be too.
3. You should be willing to spend some time in VG mode to accumulate points. If and when we get enough to maintain a base of some sort, I will create one. But this will only develop after it becomes obvious that there are members willing to put the time [casual though it would be] into having one.
4. Main theme is that you are an alien. I would prefer a space-type alien, though alternate-dimensional ones would be considered. Also, Son-of type Earth/aliens hybrids considered.
5. Your villains should probably be of tech/sci/natural origin, though I will accept others if the concept is strong. It just has to make sense, and, magical aliens? Just doesn't do it for me....
6. This VG is full of shtick. What I mean is, you need to try and be shlocky about your alien. Use invasion movies from the 40's, 50's and 60's as your research. You have a chromed silver flying saucer and it uses black-and-white tube TVs as viewscreens; get my drift? Humor is definitely required in your concept, because we are not here to be serious. Your general aim should involve the Earth as either a source of free resources for you dieing planet, a source of food [namely humans], body snatcher farming, or its destruction for past wrongs or a new galactic hyperspace lane.
I honestly don' know if anyone will contact me, but if you have a lone alien villain not in another VG, and you're bored, look me up! I am all about cooperative leveling. If we have a base it will be small, and have the essentials: storage and a supply of cheap insps. If we get a vault and Enhancer racks we will simply stuff 'em when we can, and take what we need, even if its to sell for raw cash to buy more stuff.
I'll be creating Virtueverse pages for this VG and my related villains soonish.
