So, in other words, you don't want us to assume about your OWN assumptions that this game is just siphoning off other games and everyone who has ever played CoH just came over from Freedom Force of EQ?
You post your own opinions as if they are facts to make us assume, so you get the reactionary flames you require because you like attention. Congrats, you win.

Nope. Another personal story to add to the "I never played an MMO before CoH".
Why? Because Dwarves and Elves and crap are a level of dorkitude that even I dare not broach.

If it wasn't for the character creator I would never have picked this MMO up. I made a previous promise to never try another MMO after I did EQ. Then my friend described the character creator.
Me: Oh yeah? That's cool.
Him: You can even make a cat-girl.
Me: Are you kidding?! Hell yes! Tell me more!
Then he went into the detail in the game.. and next thing you know I am hooked.

For whatever it's worth I would like to add my voice to the chorus in this subject. I've been a bit of a comic geek all my life, but I have little to no experience in online games. I certainly never thought I would be a loyal MMO player. I, like so many others, do not fit into Revolution's concept of how this demographic works.

It seems more to the point that if one is to make wholly unqualified statements and pass off supposition as fact, one (being you) is far more likely to get called out for spurious claims. The more one defends these claims (again, you), the more likely one's statements are to be dismissed.
It boils down to this: this is an open, public forum; you can claim the sky is a lovely glowing tangerine color for all anyone cares.
But being a public forum, you're also just gonna haveta somehow deal with the fact that posters will come from far and wide, as they seem to be doing here, to call you a total idiot.
Free speech and whatnot work all ways.

I mean, as far as I can tell this entire thread is a violation of the EULA..but even Statesman is in it making snide comments about people. So I guess that makes it okay.
I mean, I'm not supposed to take offense? I've come up numerous times under three different forum names (though I'm sure that if I, and everyone else for that matter, could remember my beta forum name, it would have been four) and none of the commentary has been very positive.
And I'm just supposed to not respond and let you get on with your viciously making fun of people? When I am one of the people involved?

Having been denied Barbies as wee young girlie boy, I've decided that the CoH costume creator system is worth the price of admission alone.
I'm still not clear how I feel about the anatomic correctness issue, but we work in baby steps, baby steps.

As a long-time practicioner of the Dark Art known as bitchcraft, (take that forum censor) I fear you miss the point of there being a cool kids table at all.

Actually I changed my name on the forums for one reason only...because for some reason after returning after leaving, Diva's forum account was inaccessible and my email had changed since then so recovering it was impossible.
So I just used Backagain when I returned then I changed it to Revolution_Pr0 because Backagain didn't really mean anything.
Regardless...even you said it here "remembering the various los..." come on dude. Don't pee on my back and tell me its raining. Its just insulting.
Ya'll are doing something that is specifically forbidden on this forum..and its been encouraged by the leading figure of the development team.

By the time taxes gets done with ya, it's only "DOOOOoooo." The government, I tell ya, they take half of everything.
I don't think I've got much doomsaying to say really.
Doomsaying would indicate that I'm saying the game is failing.
I've said several times that its not failing, that its simply failing to meet MY expectations, which does not, overall, indicate doom.
Just personal dissatisfaction.
What have I asked for in my entire history here?
An end to nerfs.
More ME stuff in the game so your character feels more like they live there instead of being a tourist.
Better tankers and scrappers.
More costume options.
And once again, people hate me because those are things that I want in the game....when I ask for them...these are the kinds of reactions I get.
Which just confuses me completely. Because I've never seen a community that would actually reject more stuff in their game of choice.
And to further refine someone elses statement, this entire thread wasn't "troll bait" it was trolling, plain and simple.

But it really doesen't help the situation, Doc_D. All it does is further inflame tensions on both sides, causing a downward spiral of flaming.
Sort of like the Circle of Life they sang about in that one movie...
