Just a quick question: Are the Shards still dropping off mobs? I haven't got any yet ... Granted, haven't played much.
-
Quote:Discribes my oldest character. Got 88 on it counting Vets. Others with only 1 costume slot almost 30.Last time I looked CMA had roughly 80 of them and a bunch of my older characters all have 50+; I generally don't play with Icon all that much. My newer characters seldom even unlock additional costumes although I admit the old ones have all 4 slots. Usually any additional costumes are jokes or special purpose... like the old style low lag Hami Raid costume on CMA... jeans and Tshirt.
So yeah, those tokens do tend to pile up over the years. It kind of makes that veteran reward of reduced cost at the tailor pretty worthless
I find that I ever get around to changing a characters costume I think the new one sucks more and end up going back to the first one.
Will never use the 88 my main has ... or even the Vets ones.
I could say the same about Respecs ... :/ -
Quote:Yes.COH won't ever have:
vehicles,
swinging travel power,
four-legged (or more) animals,
underwater zone or even an underwater area/map,
although COH2 may never have some of these, either.
Anything else the devs have said that won't be in COH?
Player Made Missions and Customizable Powers ...
... Oh ... Wait. :/ -

I think regular ma missions should have xp taken away and have the ticket rewards increased. This would still allow farming for IOs but not for xp.
Maybe add the ability to buy specific IOs like you can with merits or have a chance to get a purple recipe from the lvl 50 gold roll.
I think this would be enough reward to play MA.
The "Dev's choice" reward will add xp to your mission.
[/ QUOTE ]
Where were you when MA was first announced and people were debating, reather heattedly I might add, if MA should or shouldn't give XP?
IIRC, most were on the side of giving XP. -

Just /bugged this in game today. I have the accolade and not the power. If it requires a charge that text needs to be fixed asap.
Will update if I get any word from support.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not getting charges either. -
Power: MArc Revive
Badge: Master Architect
Bug Description: Master Architect Accolade Power Not Awarding
Link to Forum Discussions: Post
Also: The Power Icon for the Mac Addition "Mission Teleport" power is the default Gray circle with Red X Icon. -
[ QUOTE ]
you get two extra tickets at the end of completed missions..
Is this what you are talking about?
because I was a bit let down...
[/ QUOTE ]
No, Pain. That is the plan ol' Architect badge.
Master Architect is for having both Architect and Professor. Gives a SelfRez for use in MA Missions.
And to update on that: My character still doesn't have a charge for it after being Logged Off, in the AE building, for most of the last 36 hours.
Looks like the power isn't being awarded. -
[ QUOTE ]
You may have "access" to the power, but you'd need to charge it. I got this on Test today, so no idea on how it works, but try reading the accolade text and get your hints that way.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah ... was thinking that. However, the Mission Architect badge text is written like The Atlas Medalion or Eye of Magus. ie: just stating you get the power. Not like say Scientist which states you have to log out in the Uni or Portal Corp to get the Sleep Gas charges. -
Anyone get this yet?
I have. It claims to give a rez like power usable in AE Missions.
Can't find it in my powers tab. Also, there is no indication that it has limited uses in the description. Like how the other ones charges gained per time. -

What's wrong with rotating the stories they have published? They could easily use 2 arcs for new material and use the third to rotate their archive of published arcs
[/ QUOTE ]
I would just be hazarding a guess, but, the loss of the Stars for the unpublished arcs.
Note: If I had more time to make arcs, I would be doing what Forbin sugjests. Just posting what I think others would have a problem with. -
[ QUOTE ]
I am putting SFMA into my mission to help spread it more.
[/ QUOTE ]
Think I will too ... after I spruce it up a bit. -
[ QUOTE ]
Something you must know now:
NO ONSITE BADGES ARE SOLD any longer!
They've apparently been so sold out these last 2 years, they really don't have room for lineup and standing-room only people. So get on those tickets and accomodations TODAY.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well then, guess it was a good idea to get mine last year. -

I'll be traveling all the way from Atlanta for this one. My first con EVER! Look forward to seeing there.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh goodness. We're gonna spoil you or scare you off o.0
Seriously: 125k people, if you aren't ready for crowded areas.Bring your own water, food or whatnot, because it's hella expensive (though there are places around to shop for supplies as well as restaurants, the convention center's food while pretty good is really expensive). Be prepared for a lot of walking. A LOT. The building itself is just shy of 7 blocks long inside, and that's just the floor. There are 2 more floors of game rooms, discussion panels, exhibits and such, anime, movies, etc.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'll also add, GET YOUR TICKETS NOW.
Don't wait until you show up in San Diego.
In 2006 they sold out for Saturday. 2007, only Thursday WASN'T sold out. It's also cheaper to get it early.

THERE IS NO BLUE WIRE!
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh crap.
[/ QUOTE ]
LIES!!!
There are only blue wires... because the devs hate red.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sigh...so even with this villain-heavy issue....

lol So true, so true.

I say, ah say, that's a joke son.
Boy's about as sharp as a bag of wet mice...

I usually use "sphere" myself ... but "a bag of wet mice" is pretty catchy. -

Wooo!
We San Diegans MUST set up a meet 'n greet this year!
[/ QUOTE ]
There's a Dave & Buster's under the 5-805 interchange if consistency of venue is important...
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be 8-805.
5 and 805 are both North/Southbound Interstates. -

Not a chance. You guys scare me. -
I agree with you OP there Brad .... but I'd like to point out something I'm surprised none of the "old timers" have.
The original version of CoH had Stats, Loot-based increases to the characters abilities [I even think it effected looks], Mission Terminals like in AO, and probably a host of other unmentioned MMO conventions.
I believe it was Jack that changed that version of CoH into the one we have now. -

In open beta, a lot of people play the set, and when the set is fixed to perform in the level it was intended, thousands of people cry "NERF!!!"
[/ QUOTE ]
Only thousands? -
[ QUOTE ]
And, btw, I have toons from level 1 all the way to 30. I stopped playing with my 30 because of how boring it is. I guess I'll wait unti I435454545 for low level content not called "Mindless Radio Missions."
[/ QUOTE ]
You "sir" ar a loon.
Hollows, a new zone added in Issue 1, for levels 5 to 15.
Faultline, revised in Issue 8, for 15 to 25.
Stiger Island, new zone in Issue 3?, for levels 20 to 30.
Croatoa, new zone in Issue 5, for levels 25 to 35.
Bloody Bay and Sirin's Call, new zones in Issue 6 for level 15+ and 25+.
Costumes out the wazoo available to all levels
Inventions for level 4+ Issue 9
Not counting the "regular" Contact Missions.
That's a lot of "content" other than "Mindless Radio Missions"
If fact, as it is now, is very difficult to do all the available content [ie missions] on a single character short of soloing and being in perma-debt. And that only "somewhat" possable.
Group and it's not possable. -
[ QUOTE ]
Why put up a poll then hide the results? How long was the pull up anyhow, just saw it yesterday.
[/ QUOTE ]
Err ... yesterday?
As to the "hiding" ... like most things here on the CoH boards, to mittigate the complaints of ... "It suxors that x got the most votes, it's a soopid set, do y insteed." "You Devs suck if you do x insteed of y" ... etc.
That's not to say it won't happen when they announce that they are putting in x set when it gets done, it just won't be drawn out from now until when ever it is. -

In regards to the poll being up for less than 24 hours:
We amassed a ton of votes in that short amount of time. In addition, a large percentage of those votes came from people who signed up for the forums just yesterday, so it's not just the "vocal minority" having their say. A lot of new-to-the-boards players got their voice in this.
In addition, there is a weirdness in the forum software that would force us to re-put up the polls (again) allowing you all a chance to vote twice, and that would have a far greater impact on the poll results than the data we received.
[/ QUOTE ]
Meanwhile a 2 year player like myself didn't even get a chance to vote and therefore won't have his voice heard either.
[/ QUOTE ]
So, you won't be voting on the new poll? -
[ QUOTE ]
The first step here should be to open up more cross-AT sets. Most Tanker/Scrapper/Stalker/Brute sets should be held in common. As should most Defender/Corrupter/Blaster blast sets, most Dominator/Controller control sets and most Defender/Mastermind/Corrupter/Controller defense sets.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm hoping that's part of Issue 10. -

And it should be made clear Lighthouse is NC Soft hence a orange name not a red.

Check the colour settings on your monitor dude, no orange names.
