Oh great i cant solo being a lvl 50 blaster as it is in PI(example scientists) since the 1 of the last patches, but now u r gonna make it even harder?
The only blasters that can truelly solo r Dev. blaster, not all. I sure try and die most of the time. If im not held, im sleped, or disoriented, or something. Specialy now that some villian can see thro stealth my one and only defence.
Thank u for make it so much harder to play, FUN! =/

Healing rate is what regen is all about. If you nerf that - we are have zilch. Looks good, I really hope we can get Stone Armor graphics redone for Update 3. We've watched a lot of new artwork get bumped ahead of these changes we've been asking for since beta. How a player looks should take priority over how an NPC looks!

The question shouldn't be whether scrappers can reach the same level of resistance as a tank, the question should be "Is the difference in resistance enough to offset the difference in damage?" Damage is really king in this game and if they can come close to tanker resistance and have a whole lot more damage then there is no reason for tankers, no matter what gimmicks you come up with. And this doesn't even take into account the massive difference in defensive versus offensive buffs.

You have two melee classes, there needs to be a very clear differentiation between the two. Besides A is better than B when powered up.

All I can say is "They mess with Regeneration and I am GONE."

I earned my Adamant badge (1,000,000 damage taken) very early in my career to GET Instant healing and all the rest. I died uncountable deaths to earn what I have. Sorry, but the one class that has VERY little in the way of ANY defense deserves the perks later on. Same with the fire controller and the IMPS...I am HAPPY to see a fire controller hit 32 and run scampering off into the sunset, free of being chained to teams. Its the same with Regeneration. We were shackled most of our early lives. Now we EARNED our freedom and they want to take it away. I'll leave that's all there is to it.

I only have a few concerns, hopefully you are still reading our posts

1) When is the earliest you guys could fix the double buff enemies have against dark melee's attacks?

2) Will it possible to bring characters from the test to live servers?

3) Will there be power sets added to all AT's in update 3?

Go try that against a pair of level 39 Sappers Its easy for any AT to look great when you fight against mobs that cant go through your defences but is that a bug ? All ATs have their "prefered" enemies i think . Ill admit all my scrappers do good against Nemesis , they arent doing as good against carnies and maltas 3 levels higher however . Saying that an AT need the nerf bat because some players choose to pick their fights wisely is very lame .

Question 1) When, if ever, will the villians in this game be forced to play by the same set of rules that the heros are subjected to? (i.e. cool down timers, endurance usage, number of powers, etc.)

Question 2) When will you stop making vauge comments like "tweak" or "some concern" that incite riots among the people that read and use these boards? Please, please, be clear and concise or say nothing at all.

I think you'll find that animation times and movement limitations are factored into the opportunity costs for those powers, along with endurance cost, secondary effects, effect duration, and recharge length. Not all heals, buffs, and armors are equal to each other. Some powers may be working improperly and should be bugged and discussed in the forums. Some powers have been rebalanced after further testing by the dev's at the players' request. Be specific. Making a blanket statement doesn't shed light on your concerns.

Funny, how people say they need AoEs the way they are to avoid Sappers and mezz effects, when in the same post as he mentioned AoE changes, States' said minion mezzers are being dramatically reduced and Sappers are going down to 1 per group instead of 2.

Scrapper Secondary Power Invulnerability.
Unstoppable: base Resist 52.5%
2 SO Damage Resists = 73.5% Resistance to all but Psionic
Resist Physical Damage: base Resist ~9.3%
4 SO Damage Resists = 16.74%
Resist Energies/Elements: base Resist 15%
1 SO Damage Resist = 18%

Unstoppable 2 Slots+RPD 4 Slots+REn/Rel one slot = 90.24% Resistance to Smash/Lethal attacks, and 91.5% Resistance to Elemental/Energy attacks, effectively capped at 90%.

Tankers are also capped at 90% damage resistance. Is there something I am missing?

Edit: Actually someone reported that the base for Scrappers RPD was higher than I originally thought, so I updated my numbers, which actaully made RPD go from 6 to 4 slots to reach the cap.

AoE's have NOTHING to do with surviving mezzes and everything to do with surviving everything...

All other AT's have damage mitigation abilities except blasters.... and if you say it's range you're full of garbage.

Our damage mitigation is extreme damage. If you're going to nerf that changes need to be made to give people a fighting chance.

Heh. Your $15 bucks buys you storage of your character, customer support and a few updates. It doesn't buy you the time that DEV's spend reading and posting on these boards. They do that for free, and largely on their own time.

A few of us understand and appreciate that. And we'd like to make the best use of their time by posting constructively.

The scrapper and aoe debates are more than likely valid - but they belong in other threads. This was our chance at a rare Q&A session with the voice of COH.

"Nerfs" aren't the end of the world. The sky was falling during the purple patch, during the drop of issue 1, and during the drop of issue 2. We're all still here, playing just as much as we used to. Are we playing the same way? No, we've had to change up our playstyle a bit... but we're still playing.

Rants and such are a part of this board, that's unavoidable. A few of us were just hoping to keep it off of this thread so we could milk States for every vague, enigmatic snippet we could.

But... that request is now a "dead horse".

Rant away.
