tank swipers have no pbaoe disorient. what they do have is a knock down that can put you on your [censored] at range allowing them to easily get into melee range and one shot you... IF said ranged attack dosen't do the job by itself. Now who's being melodramatic? There's no single blaster attack that's going to disable a Tank swiper anyways and not ever situation even affords you range. besides bosses tend to be accompanied by other mobs... like juicers. Juicer elec blasts combined with tank swipers, smasher ranged AoE attacks can absolutely destroy a blaster in seconds. I'm not being melodramatic... you're being narrow minded.

Not that the "or MORE" matters very much since the base-to-hit value is capped at 5%. Even if you have 1000% defense everything from Contaminated Thugs to Hamidon is going to hit you one time out of twenty.

I just got done reading a post about the filter, and a lot of people feel that it needs to be reworked. Words like crap, 45s, 455, kung fu, and god are censored out but words like f---tard aren't?

We just don't get it, can you please address this issue? Thanks.

p.s. - I know it's a very low priority, but it's just a request. It won't stop me from playing, that's for sure.

Q 1) When are we getting retroed TV and Eden badges?

I'd REALLY like to know if I should give up and attempt to redo these trials RSKed and hope neither I or my partner LDs. Its been weeks since the badges were fixed but the datamine is still pending. I believe the Sewer trial and Head of Hydra badges also need awarding, possibly others.

Q 2) Are there any plans to retro the new souvniers for TFs and Trials? If yes, when?

Q 3) When can we expect some system to access lower lvl contact missions?

Q 4) Are you aware of timing issues that allow mobs to reposte a successful Hold/Disorient? If so, are there plans to fix this?

To calrify, I'm talking about a fully invis hero, landing a Hold or Disorient on a target and having that target (which was unaware) get a responce atk before the Hold applies. This is particularly troublesome when the resposte is a 5 min Malta stun that lasts longer than the Hold they reposted.

Q 5) Are you aware Carnie Master Illusionists continue to cast (and affect heroes) while insubstantial? Working as intended?

I do have to agree about god - it's more than a little disconcerting to hear the Banished Pantheon praying to the "*&$%$#% of rain and the goddess of earth." Although that might explain why they're easily foiled - if you're calling your deity by a curse word, he's probably not too eager to help you!

The changes being worked on with FEAR powers directly involve and affect Mind Controllers.

Unless Fear will now cause damage, it will be as worthless in the future as it is now. XP comes from damaging and ultimately arresting MOBs, not just holding and incapacitating them, which is all higher level Mind Controllers can meaningfully do. A balance must be struck that makes them as powerful as other controllers. Mind Controllers are the only pet-less controller, but have no compensating power to make up for that gap.

No one expects the Mind Controller to become a big-time damage dealer, but it gets old being dependent on others to team with you and do your damage for you.

How about going up against a Tank Smasher or Tank Swiper before a hold kicks in, or when a hold misses? Sure is nice to stay away from those big fat blades or that pbaoe disorient and still be able to do some damage. Until that Tank is in a hold, range is a good thing.

Oh and btw.... last time I checked you don't have to exactly get within kissing range to lay a hold down... and don't assume that all blasters have MAXIMUM range at their disposal. a fire blasters MOST damaging attacks vary from close to mid range.... putting him well into range of a tank SMASHERS PBAoE stun.

Stackable armors is NOT, repeat NOT, what the Ice tanker line needs. Check the Tanker forums : all 4 of us Ice tankers have started threads at some point explaining AT LENGTH the problem with Ice tankers : no mez protection. NONE. The Archetype is plain UNPLAYABLE and CAN be out-tanked by just about every type of scrapper and some controllers.

WHY would you look at a problem(point #6) that has work-arounds available to it before you would address the enormous problem Ice tankers face in having NO WAY of mitigating the continued problems of not being able to contribute to a team and not being able to play solo?

Don't get me wrong : I am happy for my Invulnerable bretherns and that the UYS problem is being addressed but they can teleport around to make their type playable and mitigate the "rooted" factor. What can the Ice tankers do besides team with a defender that can keep slapping Clear Mind on us? There is no way to "fix" our problem on our own. Ice tankers are not tankers. They are weak damage output scrappers with a bit more smashing defense....until they reach 32. Then we aren't needed, or necessary, on a team and we can't play solo since the effect is usually : sleep, toggle, dead.

PLEASE, Statesman, take two minutes and find out the problem with us Ice tankers(again the tanker forums have the info) before you give us a fix we Just. Don't. Need.

And if you can't find time to read the many threads on it, here are some of the main suggestions :

Permafrost : Almost useless power. Chosen by very few ice tankers. Remove the fire protection and add some +RES to mez/sleep attacks.

Glacial Armor : Very good....once in a while. For the most part it is passed over for more promising powers and Wet Ice/Frozen Armor is used instead. Add a +RES to mez/sleep attacks as well.

Both these options would make two nigh-useless powers very viable options and prevents the whole "uber" tanker thing which, I've been told, is the reason all Ice tankers suffer from narcolepsy.

Well...

I don't have tough/weave as a regen scrapper and also cannot....all 4 of my power pools are spoken for already.

I am also concerned about this coming "tweak" to regen. I'll wait and see what this tweak is though before I declare shaninagins. I have faith in States and crew....so time will tell.

Agreed with you hepheastus. The only thing blaster have going is damage. Almost no defense & no status protection, now you want to continue to take away damage. Already you seen the mass movement from the blaster to scrappers. Now you want us even more gimped. Come on guys. Our alpha strike even in AoE form is what we are. Since the patch it's been harder to team up because no needs a blaster on thier team if they have a defender, and when a defender can come close to the damage of a blaster with his buffs/debuffs. Enough already. Stop listening to the nerf herders.

Ok Statesman , you succeeded to scare me well . I have a lev 35 MA/REgen scrapper and i dont have Stamina because i prefered to have more attack moves for the show . I have 6 slotted QR and i barely succeed to keep active IH and Integration while waging an extended fight against Mobs who have high rez or high hp like Tank Swipers. If you are to augment endurance cost of IH or nerf it i might as well already get my ticket for the hospital

The very true problem in your game is that you had no choice but to think of it taking into account Hasten and Stamina . These only 2 powers are what makes the real difference between an uber and a gimped toon . If you want to balance stuff for everyone you might want to get a closer look at how well can work toons who have neither of these 2 powers . These are the only 2 critical powers that affect the ensemble of all the others . When you test an AT i really hope that you are taking into account if they are using these 2 powers . 3 months ago i wasnt convinced yet that they were such a necessity but now i have learned my lesson well . It really is that simple . As soon as ANY of my toon get these 2 powers heavilly slotted it changes my playing experience overall . Everything becomes way easyer and of course i die way less often . And everytime i try building an AT without using these 2 it ends by nerfing myself by choice . Not taking them feels like AT automutilation and its most unfortunated . I wish any AT without Stamina and Hasten could do AS great as the ones who have them but so far it is much unlikely . I am not calling for a nerf because like i said i learned my lesson and now always get these 2 powers ASAP . However all im saying is that BEFORE modifying powers which currently belong to AT pools it might be good to take into consideration that "maybe" it is in fact Stamina and Hasten that makes these powers looking maybe Over Efficient .

Was just my 2 cents . Anyway since stuff seem to be pending , ill just stop playing my scrapper and go play with what i consider to be THE winning formula ( The AT that can go through everything , alone if need be ) , im calling my Fire/Rad Controller . And since you nerfed him already , i feel a bit safer with him ( Not a big issue anyway since he is so good that he managed to make it to 50 already and is now powerleveling the poor needy Non-controller AT in PI )

Awaiting to see how much damage the soon coming nerf bat will do

Nothing following any "tweak to regen" is a good thing. There is nothing wrong with regen - please leave it alone. We are still victims of the alpha strike like anyone else. Healing rate is what regen is all about. If you nerf that - we are have zilch. If people are complaining that we are too powerful, then maybe they need to look to getting their own AT boosted rather than beating down ours.

My Scrapper has 90% resist to all but psionic and untyped. I know a Tanker can probably reach 200% resistance, but why would he/she? Regen is not a problem, play one. I know I don't play one, but I play along side of one and he dies more than me. And his build is optimal, not gimped.

I actually have a QUESTION for statesman...

As you know, there has been some minor debate about the new release of the extra special super version of the game, coming to a store near you.
I also know that you folks are planning on releasing a less expensive update disk that just has Powerslide, etc on it for those that have the game and don't want all the extras...(although the Statesman Hero Clik would be kinda cool).
My questions are... When will the disk be made available for us near poor pleebs to get the update, where will we be able to get this disk of gold and do you know how much it will be or has that yet to be determined?

First of all i wanna say thx for letting us know about these upcoming changes, now as an ice/ice blaster i wanna ask about these AOE changes, what exactly is gonna change, dmg?, end cost? i have not tried out other power sets but i think blizzard needs to be looked at, either dmg, or end cost.

Any word on whether consideration for adding some resistance to SR is taking place? And also tweaking flight by reworking the speed (in itself or allowing swift to stack)?

I really dont expect any dev (or in fact most people) to read this far down in a thread.

Personally i red the first few posts, then the vast majority of the rest looked like winges with useful posts hidden somewhere inbetween.

Anyways, Regarding the AOE lvl32 final power.

Is this why we havent had a response regarding the continuing blizzard threads... i.e. its still not very good?

Are the other final powers to be made group dependant as well?

Question 1: There have been some conclusive tests done showing that there are no differences between kinetics transfusion for defenders and controllers. Will this be addressed?

Question 2: Kinetic's Transfusion and Transference both have a unique bug compared to all other siphon powers (Twilight Grasp, Siphon Power, Fulcrum Shift, Siphon Speed, etc.) If the mob is defeated during the course of the animation, the visible power effect goes off, but the healing effect does not. This "bug" has existed since beta, but has never been addressed as either intended or a bug. Will this get addressed soon?
