Blue Steel Praetorian?
[ QUOTE ]
In our world, Blue Steel is Back Alley Brawler's close ally (fought the War on Drugs with him). In the Praetorian world, maybe the Marauder brutally killed the hero who would become Blue Steel.

Sounds like a good theory to me!
Either that or he overdosed on Superadine.
If that was the case maybe the Paragon PD should use him to train the weak azz cops that run around like vics all the time instead of putting him into the "neglected" part of town.

Are there any good resources on Freedom Phalanx <-> Praetorian crossovers? I've heard about them, but really just intimations, and my poor MA/RE scrapper is only 35 and working on getting to the point where Antimatter can stomp my [censored] flat in one shot too.
Okay, that business about Back Street Brawler originally being in Kings Row makes a lot of sense to me. When I first started playing, I thought that BAB looked a bit gritty for the nice and shiny Galaxy City. I was expecting somebody like Ms. Liberty (spandex, mask, wholesome).
That also explains why Blue Steel gets shafted when I delivered the cure to various heroes. Almost created a post about that ("Blue Steel doesn't get any respect?").
I noticed that there is a badge naming the "only hero" who works on the Police Force.... but the name is "Blue Shield". That means either the badge has a typo, or Blue Steel doesn't actually work for the force, just with them.
Speaking of Hero Trainers, now that capes and auras are out, are any of our veteran heroes getting a visual upgrade? Doesn't have to be anything major, but some of those Hero Trainers, like Ms. Liberty and Swan, would like pretty good with a cape (give them a unique pattern, just for extra coolness).

How are they supposed to do the cape mission? They're glued to the spot!

I really thought Blue was just a throwaway. He didnt even HAVE a history until issue 2 and the new exploration badges, did he?
ya he did, i read it way back at the end of beta.
Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.
He did? The only thing I've seen about him was the badge and history plaque - if you know his story, please share.
Though he isn't a member of the Freedom Phalanx, I don't see why there isn't a Portal mission seperate from the Praetorian arc that has a reverse-Blue Steel. Maybe when they add the shield power set?

Here is all I know
Back Ally Brawler = Marauder
Bastion = Siege
Infernal = Infernal
Luminary = Nightstar
Malaise = Malaise
Manticore = Chimera
Minx = Bobcat
Miss Liberty = Dominatrix
Numina = Diabolique
Positron = Anti-Matter
Sister Psyche = Mother Mayhem
Statesman = Tyrant
Swan = Black Swan
Synapse = Neuron
Valkyrie = Battle Maiden
Woodsman = Shadowhunter
Hope that helps a little
Was woodsman a member of the Phalanx or something? I did Numina's TF pre TF souveniers so someone help me out here.
Warcry has a nice rundown of the Praetorians in their Villian section. Check it out here. Spoilers, obviously.
I believe, from reading the History Plaques, may be part of the Regulators, a group of superheroes formed by Back Ally Brawler in August of 1972. The plaque states that "Blue Steel coined their motto" leading me to believe that he was a part of it, although it's not really that clear.
Oh, my motto for blasters?
We come with our own bodybags.
Rob
Ever since I4 hit, Sister Psyche has split from Aurora Borealis. However, Mother Mayhem still looks like an evil Aurora Borealis, and newbies who start playing these days are gonna have no idea who the Praetorian Malaise is supposed to be the evil version of. Also, on a related note, I'd like to make an observation:
Most Primal Earth trainers/TF agents: Good
Praetorian Earth versions of the above: Evil
but
Primal Malaise: Consoled by Sister psyche, but it wore off, so now: Evil
Praetorian Malaise: Never consoled by Sister Psyche, so: Evil
Malaise is evil, and his evil version is also evil. Weird.
At least, that's what I was going to say, before I read the "SO do blasters" comment. Hehehe.
Issue 16 made me feel like this.
Warning: This poster likes to play Devil's Advocate.
Manticore commented on this a while back Mother Mayhem joined with Northern Lights (evil Borealis) after weakening herself in stopping the Rikti invasion of Praetorian Earth. Though she is now strong enough to leave she is keeping the body for some unknown reason.
Villians known good in Praetorian Earth for sure we have heard about the Carnival of Light and on another dimension the woman who becomes Countess Crey is a freedom fighter fighting against Nemesis, so its possible the Crey of Prae Earth could also be good.
Also should note that Scirocco was still evil in Prae Earth and took on Chimera rather than turning him to fight crime.
So its unsure how many Villians may be good from that world.
Would be interesting to see if CoV will deal with Praetorian Earth some more.

Because no one cares about Blue Steel. Seriously. Also hes on the police force, so unless another dimension has evil police, that wouldn't work.

Yeah, that would be silly. Like having an evil Star Trek Federation or something.

Well I do not think Blue Steel is much of a trainer, especially in training the PCPD. The police force just runs away when they see trouble .
