Villians known good in Praetorian Earth for sure we have heard about the Carnival of Light and on another dimension the woman who becomes Countess Crey is a freedom fighter fighting against Nemesis, so its possible the Crey of Prae Earth could also be good.

Everyones favorite evil CEO is good on Preatorian Earth. Anyone who is level 40 has meet Ghost Falcon, on our world a hero named Invisable Falcon disappered when he had a run in with Crey. His evil Preatorian alternate, Ghost Falcon, was captured by Crey and brainwashed to be a good guy and now he's here giving us enhancements.

Ooh, I wonder if Ghost Falcon and Ghost Widow are related?

I believe, from reading the History Plaques, may be part of the Regulators, a group of superheroes formed by Back Ally Brawler in August of 1972. The plaque states that "Blue Steel coined their motto" leading me to believe that he was a part of it, although it's not really that clear.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just keep in mind cops are cops 24/7 and I believe he's an official member of the Paragon Police but is sanctioned out as a Superhero.

Remember, Captain America is a solider of our government (Army I believe, or a special operative ala Nick Fury in SHIELD) yet is an Avenger and crimefighter. Marvel has been a little grey about that in the past.

But it doesn't surprise me that Blue Steel is still a member of police law enforcement as a superhero.

It'd be kind of neat if Praetorian Blue Steel instead started taking that world's version of superdyne and became the leader of the Praetorian Earth's Trolls. We could call him "Green Skin".

Well I do not think Blue Steel is much of a trainer, especially in training the PCPD. The police force just runs away when they see trouble .

So do blasters.....

Sorry, my bad. Heck, I'm a lead writer for a computer mod forum and you'd think that I would have caught that. However, I was looking for some background information on Blue Steel for an e-novel that I'm writing and this was one of the few threads that I found on a search.

A history of Blue Steel

Hey folks,

After not really hearing anything back from other members and a message from the support staff that no background information exists for Blue Steel, I took it upon myself to write a little fan fiction detailing his history. It's a really rough sketch of his background and I may have made some errors on the precise timeline. I did have to take some liberty with "creating" a few new elements to Paragon City but it works, in my own opinion.

Please feel free to comment here or over at PimpRig where I posted it. Thanks.

Rob

Waaaitaminute. If Ghost Falcon is a Praetorian, then Blue Steel can't have a counterpart... why?

He probably HAS a counterpart on Praetorian earth. But his counterpart wouldn't be a Praetorian, since he isn't in the Freedom Phalanx. Ghost Falcon isn't a Praetorian either, he just lives on Praetorian earth.

I'd argue that makes him [Ghost Falcon] a Praetorian, just as I'm a Washingtonian, but I'm not a member of the Mariners Baseball franchise.

As I recall, Blue Steel is tied to the Clockwork King's backstory. When the Clockwork first appeared, they were mostly just an amusing nuisance being directed by a young scruffy looking guy, until a police officer was killed trying to interfere with them. Blue Steel tracked the Clockwork King down after that and lost control, beating the Clockwork King so badly that Blue Steel was sure he'd killed the poor delusional kid. At some point in between Blue Steel reporting the incidence and backup arriving, some of the Clockworks apparently dragged their King's body off and fixed him up as the current Brain in a Jar on a Robot Chassis model he is today.

So when Back Alley Brawler was moved to Galaxy City, as far as I know that's the bit of game lore they raided for Blue Steel. I'm pretty sure he's an Ex-Cop now (possibly due to disciplinary action after he nearly killed the Clockwork King?), but still works closley with the PPD. He was also definitely a member of the Regulators with Back Alley Brawler. I'm not sure, but I think the two of them may be the only heroes from that team to survive the Rikti War? That would explain why BAB signed up with the Freedom Phalanx and Blue Steel is operating solo these days (as a Vindicators reservist by the look of it, since he pops up in Villain lore to save Aurora Borealis from Arachnos prisons in half the story arcs in Nerva).

Also, note that War Witch, Ravenstorm and Castle have the distinction of being Hero Zone Trainers without having Praetorian Dopplegangers, or appearing as enemy NPCs in any Villain content.

Blue Steel is still a PPD cop. He's essentially the PPD's version of Statesman, Rambo, and Chuck Norris rolled into one, so they're not about to let him go for something as trivial as the revenge killing of a mad scientist that nobody misses.

I still like the idea of the Praetorian Blue Steel being a Troll.

He may not be a Freedom Phalanxer per se, but that doesn't seem to really be a requirement for having a Praetorian counterpart.

The reason WW, Ravenstorm and Castle do not have Praetorian versions is because they did not exist when the Praetorians were created (I1 for those who are curious). Blue Steel did exist when the Praetorian arcs were added and I'm pretty sure he is the only trainer/tf contact that didn't have a Praetorian version of himself.

Personally, I think this was just because of the lack of "shield fighting" because his shield is so integral to his character (at least in my opinion).

Posted

So that'd be... what? A version of Blue Steel who isn't a brutal murderer who somehow got away with it?

Posted

I don't think it was necessarily "brutal murder." It was more akin to impassioned manslaughter. Then again, it does beg the question of whether the city could have gotten sued for police brutality, though with so many super powered individuals around, it's probably pretty easy to assume that someone can take a hit and accidentally reduce them to mush.

Posted

And the Clockwork had already killed a cop- in real life, criminals who've killed a cop rarely get taken alive...

lol, thread resurrection.

I'm still desperate to fight Blue Steel on Villain side. When shields are given to players, he better be added aswell; as a foe and ally for Heroes.

If not, I will post in every thread over 3 years old. You've been warned!

Well now that we see the new fighters in Cimerora, I think we've got a higher chance of seeing Blue Steel in action. One other thing how can you bring up Blue Steel on murder charges when the guy he supposedly murdered is still out and attacking the city. At the most its extreme police brutality, but not murder.
